First priority is sustenance. There should be enough wildlife in Glowing Veins to sustain me for a while, and in a pinch I can get hydrated in the pools. Given the high Symbiosis rating, it is likely my body is already acclimated to the tainted flesh. Maintenance Level can provide a safe haven once I unlock some doors.
