Veeky Forums drafts XLN

I've seen other people do these threads and they've been popular, so I'm doing one.

Let's see how Veeky Forums drafts Ixalan, in prep for Friday.

And here's our first pack.

Fell Flagship or Contract Killing.

For this one I'd take a risk and go with Fell Flagship. It does something even when it isn't crewed.

Flagship it is since no one else is showing up.

Next pick.

You need to be a bit patient. Wait up to half an hour if you've got to. Always a chance someone will show up.

Speaking of which, this is a pretty awful one. I'd go with Skittering Heartstopper, those are always handy in a pinch. Rummaging Goblin is a closer second though.

Fair enough.

I'd say Slash or Heartstopper for some semi-decent removal. Maybe Brazen if we want to commit to pirates

Deadeye Plunderer's or Desperate Castaways. Preference in that order.

Obviously, only our third pick. I'm gonna shower, probably make the pick when I'm done.

Going to call it for Interloper soon, unless more people want something else.

Steadfast Armasaur. Let's not go all in on our pirates yet.

Next three posts decide between Armasaur and Interloper. Feel free to make cases one way or the other. Though they won't presude me, since I'm not voting, but they might change the minds of the rest of the thread.

Armasaur. It's a strong card even on its own, since it beats out a lot of small cards, even thise with first strike, and can trade with big dinos too. Having 2 mana open for it isnt hard, and it can even swing for free thanks to vigilance.

In that case, I'll take over and run one instead.
