First for awaiting delicious tears from conscriptfags.

First for Rough Riders

Aaaaarrrghhhhh

I hate to say it but the anons last thread were probably right, I doubt they'll be in the codex.

I second this. They can get fucked.

I'm using Death Riders at this point. They are so much better than Rough Riders
Inb4 someone responds with the Nazi meme

Krieg are the only FW thing I won't give people shit for, especially considering at this point they're about to be worse than the GW Regiments.

Does anyone know when Tau are going to get proper melee units?

Imo they need Samurai-esque units armed with Katanas using the following profile and Special Rules
>S User, AP -5, D d6
>Special Rule 1: Models using this weapon always strike first, even if they didn't charge this turn or are affected by rules that would stop them from going first.
>Special Rule 2: Models with this weapon get a 4++ Invulnerable Save.

Tankred is in it for the bitches

I'd agree with that and renegades.

That's good for you I guess.

They already are. The Vostroyans literally have a better version of the Kriegers unique order yet don't lose FRS,SRS or Take Aim! for it.

Oh Emperor, I thought we had escaped the Autism.

I would say Elysians too, but I remembered they literally have an order that lets them throw 10 Krak Grenades, 10 Frag Grenades and shoot their Lasguns.

No one will give you shit about that, user. Plus Death Riders are an awesome looking model. I wish the Guard players I go up against would use them.

This is b8, right? Right???

If plastic Vostroyans come out I know they won't, but a man can dream I really want to collect an army of them + Death Riders modelled to look like Winged Hussars.

>Implying Any guard model is a wasted model
REMEMBER, BROTHERS! WE ARE GUARD!

IF THEY TAKE OUR PLATOONS, WE VETERANS!

IF THEY TAKE OUR DOCTRINES, WE CONSCRIPTS!

IF THEY TAKE OUR CONSCRIPTS, WE MASSED ARMOURED ASSAULT!

IF THEY TAKE OUR HEAVY ARMOUR, WE HEROES!

Current Techpope.

No, you're just jealous because your faction isn't based on glorious Nippon.

as a tau player, fuck off
being shit in melee is the key weakness of the tau, both fluff-wise and gameplay-wise, and trying to erase it with new epik melee units xd is WAACshit

that said a samurai-esque battlesuit would look bitchin'

That's good for you I guess

>Oud Oudia Raskian
What sort of fucking name is that?

God DAMN he must be thicc

Never. The Tau are dishonorable space communists who shun melee combat. Worst faction.

But as a fellow T'au player you should understand, if the T'au don't get the best melee units then it's not realistic, they're based on Nippon so they should get Samurai.

Literally why you use hologram technology! For fucks sake.

That's good for you I guess

the samurai were a bunch of power-tripping assholes who would have been fucking RUINED by any real professional army

>Falling for the copypasta

A fictional made up one?

This is the first time I've seen it.

Fuck off filthy gaijin, go cry over one of your cast iron swords.

Nah uh, they followed Bushido, which made them the world's best warriors according to history.

Only the T'au have hologram technology, the Imperium is too backward to have that.

The only nerfs are a 4+ to accept orders and capping the unit at 30 models. Conscripts still stronk.

Hey guys, what's the cheapest army to field dollar-wise in a 1k game?

Now I'm not saying the Fabricator General is fat, but the last time he visited Terra it took eight basilikon megalifters to get him into the palace!

*Rimshot*

Thank you, I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress-servitor.

That's good for you I guess

I've seen it at least twice over the last few days, whoever is posting it is either a troll or a really dedicated weeb.

I enjoy any opportunity to hate on Tau

One of my guardsmen slapped the waitress-servitor's ass and lost his hand in a mass of gears. I want to see the manager!

Confirmed to still exist in 40k. Rules when?

Death Guard/Primarus. Split dark imperium and first strike.

Where is this from

How do I report bullying on this website?

You're just jealouse because the Imperium is one of the evil factions.

Sir, the sign is clearly marked. We accept no liability for ignoring it.

Do you know what that is?

>They're actually just dead, but nobody's paid any attention to them since the Heresy so they didn't notice

FUCK GUARD PLAYERS

I heard a squad of hellblasters is 400 pts but still pretty good. Would you think an army composed of 2 such squads and a Primaris captain will be alright?

Gonna buy myself couple of these bad boys ;)

Dude I don't know. I play DG.

>Eldar
>Balanced faction
Pick 1.

You wouldn't be able to field it unless you're playing Open Play.

Watchers of the Throne: The Emperor's Legion.

A novel told alternatingly from the perspective of the high lord's major-domo, a custodian and a silent sister.

>baiting for samurai- /katana-virgin-fags
please don't feed him. again.
he's just a troll and we don't wanna hear your expert (read:virgin) level of information on swords

Scum.

Make it six and you got an army.

At one point I came very close to buying a few of those to start a new army
I also almost bought two of the scions ones the next day
What I'm saying is I shouldn't have access to online stores

This isn't 7th edition bub

It reminds me of how Abatap used to post on /tv/ years ago. Maybe its him.

Cadian trait will end up the worst as encouragement to shell out for expensive older regiment models

There's much more cost effective ways of starting than this.. Snap fit IG are your friend

Does anyone know when Admech are going to get proper melee units?

Imo they need Miner-esque units armed with Orange Chainsaws using the following profile and Special Rules

>S+2 AP -4, D 2
>Special Rule 1: Models using this weapon in the Fight phase may make an additional attack
>Special Rule 2: To Hit rolls of 6+ count as D6 hits instead of 1

@55604627
>Only the T'au have hologram technology,
Here's your (you)

You could actually make a 1850 point army out of six of those. Not sure if it would be good or not.

>Not painting them as #YourDudes and using whatever Doctrine you like.

That was clearly stolen from the T'au.

Painting is one thing, the whole uniform's another

Well 60 guard is always useful and so are the heavy weapon teams. The tanks might be a bit overkill though and I'd mix up the characters somewhat but... yeah it sounds like a fun list.

That feeling of dread when the WAAC hordes start playing your army.
Is this what it was like for Tau players when riptides were FotM?
I’m so sorry.

There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

Most worlds use the Cadian style uniform, so you could easily say they are the Generian 99th Medium Infantry and use whatever tactics you like.

If you really wanted to WAAC you could split the 'scripts into two 30 model blobs and use the Commissars to make sure they never suffer morale.

Guess I'm lucky I started playing chaos post 3.5

That's why I play at least 2 armies, so when the WAAC hordes arrive I can swap until they leave.

Depends on what your army is. Was it something intuitive, like Tau Commander spam since literally all the other battle suits are overcosted? Because that's not bad, that's just common sense, nigga.

If they're basing themselves on the Cadians, then it stands to reason they'd use their tactics as well

Or you can run them as 6x10 man squads because you have the balls.

They don't use their tactics, just the uniform because that's what the Administratum like to produce.

I'm not endorsing WAAC shit, I'm just saying someone, somewhere is probably doing this.

>Want to play R&H
>Called WAAC fag if I use FW
>Called WAAC fag if I don't
Well fuck.

Dont worry, R&H are hit garbage

Rapier lasers aren't broken anymore and Unending Host formation doesn't exist so R&H aren't great

>T'Au
>Balanced

They are shit weak mate.

Their plasma is weaker than non overcharged imperial plasma and more expensive. And it tends to be on shitty BS4 bodies.

They have only a few good units like commanders but that's not enough to make them good. The entire system of markerlights has become really expensive, unreliable and unwieldy.

I know it's hilarious to hate on Guard right now, but I'm going to hold off on judging until I see how the new Codex plays. I'm hoping the nerfs will balance out the awesome shit they are getting. Then maybe we can go back to hating Tau, like in the good old days.

Alright Veeky Forums, can you rate how WAAC and/or effective this list would be as 2000 point Guard?

>A detachment of six commissars
is this actually legal, because if so i'm starting IG and doing nothing but that

*Edit, the Vanguard Detachment should be as follows:
Vanguard Detachment +1CP (Imperium - Astra Militarum) [12 PL, 195pts]

I think I got aids just from reading this.

...

Should have been 5 Commissars, but yeah, perfectly legal.

That was partially the intention.

>See two but on places like head (half/half), leg, shoulder and that.

So what, you mean details, or did you want me to actually paint them black and white?

Probably been asked a hundred times, but: how are Tau and Necrons in 8th?

I'm new at this game and want to start building a Necron army. I am thinking 40 warriors, then 15 tesla carbine immortals. Maybe some doom scythes? Is the command barge good?

Exactly, they aren't balanced at all. Internal balance is shot to shit.

To function as a codex and not a limited list of OP units and a pile of shit, Tau need the following:

-Price hike on commanders
-Easier access to BS3 on elite units
-Price drop for "bigger" suits such as broadsides
-Price hike on hammerheads

I'm actually cool with markerlights being vastly stripped back, being able to have the entire army trivially shoot at BS2 with ignores cover was bullshit. But we really need access to BS3 because we're a -shooting- army and we don't have the horde spam aspects of guard.

pew pew

whats a good tallarn style army list

America here just waking up
Did I miss anything good while I slumbered?

>Flat
>No muscle tone
>No knees

If you mean good as in fluffy, I have no clue. If you mean good as in WAAC, see

Sorry but technically the title should be empress.jpg not emepror.jpg.

...

If the Emperor is an Empress then why are the Space Marines still male? Also, why are there Grey Knights in the picture

Boob-plates are restarted. Not only are they a danger to the wearer, a pain in the ass to make but I've met women who've worn plate for fun and they fit into the men's ones just fine.
