>this triggers the xenoscuck

Nth for boycotting Guard in 8th.

Did they confirmed that cadian doctrine works on tanks?

Easy fix maybe, not one that exists within the rules.

This triggers non-ig players

Combining infanrtry squads is back.

All Cadian units, yes.

Like every other Regiment if you've been paying attention.

>rough riders
Mah nigga.

The only thing that triggers me about that that half of the fuard are painted ice white and the other half are fluorescent yellow

>Guard codex actually turns out to be fairly well balanced
>dumb shits still insist that Guard are broken
literally everything that deserved the nerf got it, and everything that needed a buff, received an appropriate buff, what the fuck is wrong with you stupid niggers.

It my guard guard + friends guard vs chaos, thats why

But I love snow maps

One at a time for one CP at a time. The snowball of doom!

Yay general created 4 minutes ago and already shitposted.

No, like the rest of the doctrine (but vostoryan) it'll be split into "this for infantry that for vehicles", we've only been told the infantry half.

>>Guard codex actually turns out to be fairly well balanced
Hahahahahahaha

How many Riptides did you sell on Ebay earlier this year, faggot?

>literally everything that deserved the nerf got it
>top tourney players winning with conscript spam admit they would still be completely broken even if orders were totally removed
>nerf is so weaksauce they still get orders half the time
Holy shit this delusion.

Enjoy your no games.

Half of them just want to shitpost, half of them are idiots who have no idea what balance is and just want their army to win without any knowledge of strategy, tactics, or logistics.

Ignore it, play games, be magnanimous, etc.

Incorrect.

All Cadian units, period, re-roll 1's to hit if they were stationary in the Movement phase.

The Infantry bonus is that they re-roll all hit rolls instead of just 1's when they get the Take Aim order if they were stationary.

We're getting this autistic this early on, huh?

>How many riptides did you sell
zero because I don't play Xenos factions like yourself
>top tourney players winning with conscript spam admit they would still be completely broken even if orders were totally removed
that's just complete bullshit and you know it, but go on and ignore that they lost 40% of their health pool and firepower.
The absolute state of you people.

"""Nerf""" to conscripts.

Everything else buffed plus good stratagems in army with easiest time getting command points.

Yeah I'm not gonna play vs Guard any more.

Can I climb on top of the building to charge squad of CSM with my baneblade?

Combined with heavy weapon teams this is brutal.
>Creed and Kell sitting in the backline surrounded by 4 mortar squads
>boys, you see that army? I don't want to.

How good would basing a 2k Iron Hands marines list be if it was based off of modern platoon organizations? Was fiddling around with the idea of going with an infantry platoon supported by an armor platoon

Battalion detachment:
1 Captain-MC Bolter/P Sword
2 LTs-MC Bolters/P Swords
3 squads of 9 tacticals-1 heavy bolter/2 MLs/3 Combi-plas
1 squad of 7 devastators-1 Combi-plas/2 MLs/2 Heavy bolters
4 Rhinos-HK Missile and 2 storm bolters each

Spearhead detachment:
1 Librarian-Force Stave
1 Techmarine-Chainsword
1 Predator-TwinLas/Storm Bolter/2 Heavy bolters/HK Missile
3 Predators-Pred ACs/Storm Bolter/2 Heavy bolters/HK Missile

Would this actually be viable on the table?

>All Cadian units period
>Pask rerolling 1s on a punisher if he doesn't move
HAHAAHAHAH HOLY FUCK
>40% health and firepower gone
>not a nerf

They lost 20 from their max unit size. The insane size that conscripts squads could get to was their key feature. Killing 30 T3 5+ guys isn't nearly as hard as killing 50.

Personally I would swap conscripts for my Penal Legionnaires back. Crazy random skilled fuckers who die instead of running (Oh wait)

>that's just complete bullshit and you know it
No it's not, and I think the guys who win massive tournaments know better than you, you stupid cunt.
>40% of their health pool
Top lists already weren't taking them in blobs of 50 you fucking retard, good god you know literally nothing about competitive 40k.

>but go on and ignore that they lost 40% of their health pool and firepower.

most tourney lists were running at max 30 man units anyway, these changes literally do not affect us

I would call that 'ramming the building'. And we're I the chaos player in question I'd allow it.

Creed and Kell are out.

>projecting this hard
Maybe if winning the game by using the most powerful list possible wasn't such a crucial focal point of 40k for you, people would actually be willing to play against (You) user. Sorry that Imperial Guard are more powerful than your army now, that's just how GW operates.

we had both penal and conscripts in the 5th edition dex.

Winning tourney list ran 3x40, you idiot.

Fuck the Valhallan doctrine is some hot BS. Fleeing models are halved, vehicle damage table is halved.

Time to get some baneblades, I guess.

% health and firepower gone
>>not a nerf
It's exactly the same for the points, you just MSU it a little more. Which, newsflash, everyone was already doing at high level. The 30 model maximum does literally nothing except for stop Send In The Next Wave from being even more OP than it already is.

Conscripts broke the game due to point efficiency per 5+ sv Wound. If you never give them orders ever, they're still broken and auto-take in mass numbers.

GW basically didn't even touch them as far as the competitive scene is concerned.

Asked last thread but no response, wanting to get a skirmish force for 40k, is Shadow War dead, of should I wait for Necromunda?

>commissar blams half a guardsman
I know it rounds up, but it's still amusing

Eh, it's more cost effective to just have two CCs anyway. I was just making it Cadian and fluffy.

But nobody took conscripts because they just used combined squads.

That's where this sudden surge of conscripts has come from, people miss their 30 man Guardsman squads.

>mfw there has only ever been 1 tourney in 8th edition
>only counting the winners and not the top 5-8 to notice trends

are you intentionally retarded or does it come naturally to you

Wonder how it will work with tank orders of ordnance master.

The damage to vehicles isn't halved user, their wounds remaining for determining how effective they are gets doubled. They still die after taking the same number of wounds as everyone else.

And now he'll run 4x30 and lose effectively none of that point efficiency.

And then spend 2 Command Points to bring them back from the dead for free, 30 guys at a time.

Excuse me?
>t-this tourney doesn't count

>autistically screeching that conacripts haven't been nerfed at all
No, but I have a suspicion you are.

>all this literal autism about a codex that is still to be released.

Fuck me guard may as well actually be OP after all this shit that been copped.

I'm thinking about doing eldar of some sort but would like some advice. I'm shit at painting flesh so many of the dark eldar models will be difficult for me, but I really prefer their armor style to that of the craftworld eldar. Is there some mix I can make between the two either in models (w/ kitbashing) or rules? I remember reading something about how you can make a combined army with them now.

Perhaps they have finally realised that the torney scene will NEVER be balanced, they can take any kind of interesting feature and warp it into a bullshit overpowered auto-win.

Fuck em, play with friends and shun the tourney-fag.

Where did they say that? Seems silly to have included them in the Index, and then leave them out of the Codex.

>3x40
>3 commissars, 3 PCs, 3 Primaris Psykers
>4x30
>4 commissars,.4 PCs/2 CCs, 4 Primaris Psykers
>no point efficiency loss
Excuse me, what?

I can't see anything glaringly awful about it. I can't see anything justifying the one heavy bolter on your tac squad and not another ML, though. With three AC Predators, I think you need more versatile punchiness in your squads. Maybe drop a vanilla marine in your dev squad to make the points for the ML. I can't remember how much MLs cost anymore, it's been a bit.

i never said a single tourney does't count, but just because one person used that and almost everyone else did doesnt mean the 3x40 is the only way to run them

where was i screeching? i never said conscripts weren't nerfed, merely that at a competitive level its not going to change anything

Migrate here

>not making the cannon fodder easier to spot

>have friend that's not a waacfag all-out per se, but uses exactly the most optimal loadout availabld
>plays Guard
>likes to play me like once every 2-ish weeks
>I play Admech
Hoooooray

Considering people much smarter than you have insisted that an even harder nerf than they got would still not be enough, and they got buffed with a crazy stratagem on top of that, I'm gonna go ahead and guess you are a conshit spamming WAACfag and I eagerly invite you to start asking Eldar players how easy it was for them to find games in 7th edition.

KYS

...

> needing 1 commisar for each squad
> not daisy chaining
>more primaris psykers is bad

and the veil slipped, go back to your narrative campaigns user

Heh, okay.

How easy was it for you to find a game last edition?

Fuck off latefag, your thread is shit and your topic lacks imagination.

>Fuck em, play with friends and shun the tourney-fag.
Exactly. That's why I won't play against Guard. I'll have tons of fun against my friends who play GK, Blood Angels and Orks.

Just report this

Are you fucking

Do you even play 8th edition???

Daisy chaining is asking for a deep strike up the ass and you know it.

More Psykers are required because psychic barrier isn't an aoe

Kindly neck yourself

That's still a huge boon. As many wounds as the Monstrous Vehicles have in 8th, the only thing that makes taking minor damage matter is the fact that you can be brought down to less efficiency.

I know that it means that realistically, that just means you get three or so more wounds before you lose a BS and movement, but still. There are times you -need- that one more point of BS.

I never had a problem, bruv. I don't envy the experience you're going to be dealing with.

Kys I'm the OP of that and this is the thread we're in now

Strat is Valhallan only
Play by WYSIWYG

>Daisy chaining is asking for a deep strike up the ass and you know it

what? how? you only need fucking 18" between each model in your army thats one of the reaons why conscripts are so stupidly effective because two or three units can deny the map after thier first movement orders

>More Psykers are required because psychic barrier isn't an aoe

and the veil slips again, you realise you can't cast a psychic power more than once in matched play right? as i said go back to your narrative campaigns

Shadow War where I live is all but dead save for two or three of the same guys on Facebook looking for games.

I just can't wait to convert Necromunda models into my Genestealers.

So what do you guys think are the best doctrines for Russes? Catachan and Cadian seems like it, the first gives yoou more damage and can still move while the other is more precision for no movement, which isnt a negative thing for Russes.

A bit sad that no doctrines seem to benefit Sentinels, unless the Tallarn one does.

That's a good call.

Shame Cadia also looks disgusting though.

...

Then just delete this. We don't need 2 /40kg/

>Conscripts have seen some changes in the new Astra Militarum codex, designed to make them fit their background more appropriately. If you’ve got loads of these guys on hand, don’t worry! They’re still a very handy unit (particularly in the Valhallan army). Firstly, Conscripts can only be taken in units of 20-30, reducing the effectiveness of stacking orders on a block of 50. Secondly, orders only work on Conscripts on a 4+, and, should they fail, no more orders will work on the unit for the rest of the turn.

Will this be enough? I personally doubt it.

>everything that needed a buff, received an appropriate buff
Chimera buff where

>So what do you guys think are the best doctrines for Russes?
Shelf Doctrine: See you again when you get nerfed to shit next edition just like the Tau armies you used to play.

>MFW I show my space wolves buddy a mechanized list using the previewed codex rules
>MFW it has a shadowsword with forge world support tanks that averages 24 wounds a shooting phase
>MFW he says 'I wanna fight that'
Must be tough having no friends and an FLGS with no atmosphere of sportsmanship.

Not even close. Complete removal of orders wouldn't have been enough.

I could drop a dev marine and swap the Librarian's stave to a sword and throw in the ML

Kek

I dunno, chimeras with twin heavy flamers are solid assault vehicles.

The forge world triple heavy bolter chimera is a very solid bullet hose.

>the Guardfag is also a FWfag
Holy shit, pottery.

Catachan benefits heavy flamer sentinels.

More and more reminders that IG are the Tau of 8th popping up by the hour.

I've gotta know, why is this hot meme associated with Stannis?

Riptides are Tau's TEQ.

I'll save it for later, who cares man

Ive never met a soace wolves player that wasnt a list tailoring faggot, all of them have been pieces of shit.

Wait, where was the Cadian order and trait revealed?

What are the cadian docterines and where do I find them?

>maybe if I keep forcing this meme it'll catch on!

Dunno I wanted to post a reaction image showing pain or disgust with the IG buffs but my folder was limited so I just posted that.

For fucks sake.

>Cadia now get 20-25% more shots because lol gunline
>conscripts still broken just around half the time (oh wait lol billions of cp)

It seems to have caught on.

>riptides
>TEQ
>riptides with t4 2+ 5++ 2w
Kek

>Creed and Kell gone
Do guard have ANY special characters left?
