Push your physical powress and speed to the possible maximum, supresses the feeling of pain and holds together any wound that would't kill you instantly.

But like all good magical items it comes with a price.
Amplifies your "inner demons" (negative emotions" to a point where you enter a blind rage and keep fighting till there is nothing left to fight, friend or foe alike. it doen't heal you, it just helps you keep fighting, broken bones are held in place by shards of metal, only to go away after your rage finishes. Also every use chips away your connection to the world, impressions become dull, colors bland, food tasteless.

But as said, it makes you REALLY good at making stuff dead.

It's based on a type of weaponsmithing called sandcasting. It's pretty thick, actually. But the dangerous part is the edge.

That type of blade is indonesian/malaysian in origin, its purpose was a ceremonial/execution tool. When used in an execution a cotton pad would be placed on the shoulder next to the neck and the dagger would be thrust downwards into the top of the ribcage. Done correctly the blade would penetrate the heart and kill the victim quickly. The cotton pad cleaned the blade as it was withdrawn and prevented spurts of blood as the victim died

Before anyone asks, it's being superheated by electromagnets and only has an effect on metal, so unless you have a piercing or you fucked up and touched the sides maybe, it wouldn't do anything.
