Name a publisher or company that cripples its own product more than Palladium.

I'll wait.

Paizo.

Wizards of the Coast.

Siembieda has openly admitted that him and his cult use his own personal houserules to make things flow better but refuse to tell people what they are and was cease and desist happy on anyone who tried to publically write their own and put them online.

This is also a company whose setting is fantastic and could be ported to god knows how many video game genres, but only published it for the N-Gage. Not only that, but they openly refused to modernize their product to the financial detriment of their company.

Spartan Games. Crippled themselves right out of existence.

Even during 4e days this was apparent.
>Guys, let's make the biggest marketing point of our edition online tools.
>Let's outsource making those online tools to a single mentally unstable guy
They only have themselves to blame for what happened.

Harmony Gold

what

T$R

This.

Kevin Siembieda is a cunt because he willingly screws the playerbase.

Wizards and Paizo are just retarded, and somehow drop the ball harder than you could if you deliberately tried to fuck the players.

>4e "online tools".
>Making 4e an actually alright game, but fucking up with the marketing so hard that no one wanted to touch it with a 10ft pole.
>Almost every other new Pathfinder book that's released somehow breaks and already broken system even more.
>Releasing Starfinder, which was in development for years, in a broken state with rules that flat out don't work, and changing rules post-release via forum posts.
>Developers being inconsistent jackasses who throw a fit when people complain about a new book (bonus points if it's a public beta for a new book and the developer still spergs out when people point out problems they have with it)

WotC have been fucking up for nearly 20 years.
>hey we've got all these neat settings TSR made
>but we want to change the metaphysics
>let's shit on three of them at once
>and then ignore pretty much all of them for the foreseeable future

the RPG market is Literally sprinkled liberally with retards and uber-autists

...and you are right, Simbieda is a cunt.

my 9-man battletech crew are still waiting for him to deliver stuff for RTT.

How long has that been?

Not him but it has been 4 years and over 100,000 posts on the kickscammer. Kevvy's new Buttboy Scotty-potty isn't helping any. He's just posting the same old renders but recoloring them to try and pass them off as new.

Speaking of which, Catalyst somehow still struggles on despite tying another millstone around their neck every couple of months.

Considering one of Paladium's games was for a Harmony Gold Product (which is now basically dead after they lost the rights to Macross imagery when the idiots tried to sue Tatsunoko because hey it worked for the chinks fucking up Ultraman), I think that only helps OPs case more than anything

Good to know that something originally created via a bunch of idiots playing pretend over a wargame table is now telling people they aren't allowed to do the fucking same to make shit more fun.

It's such a shame because the setting is so much fun and I am in love with it. But the ACTUAL GAME IS SO SHIT.

Guardians Of Order.
/thread

Onyx Path and White Wolf are pretty high up there.
>Still waiting on the 20th anv edition of Wraith.
>Deviant was announced almost 3 years ago and isn't even past the first draft.
>Signs of Sorcery still isn't out
>Jihad Diary was kickstarted in 2015 and still isn't out
And then of course when the product actually comes out it's a 50/50 toss up on if anything will actually be usable or if it'll just be the insane ramblings of the writer.

Hey Joe!

Some of the shit in here makes GW look slightly less terrible.

Steve Jackson games.

They keep letting more and more inexperienced women and in-laws run the company, while rocket scientist with quad phd's are toiling away with working on GURPS.

Zero exposure, zero direction, zero marketing.

Meanwhile Jackson himself is keeping the company afloat 100 years forward independently from GURPS with his patents and inventions. Removing any incentive to fire the inept in-laws and retarded women from the top positions

Fantasy Flights Games with Anima.
Mostly the translation. Especially the translation.

Good thing they're not involved with it anymore. Bad thing Anima Project are too busy fucking about with Gate of Memories DLC to actually find a competent translation company.

I mean the game and rules aren't even that terrible, they are just hard to consolidate. Once you know them it's a pretty simple game. Could certainly do with a "Palladium Megaversal Rule Book" though.

t. Steve Jackson

Harmony Gold lost Macross?
that IS good news!
