Christian Gutierrez
What sylvaneths would even do in cities?
James Flores
Provide the firewood?
Joshua Myers
>Provide the firewood? It doesn't looks like they are using fire.
Jace Evans
4th for work in progress beastclaw!
Time to drybrush these stonehorns stone horns after astrogranite and nuln oil for some rocky goodness.
Jonathan Bailey
oh well I guess 5th.
Aaron Wood
10/10 so far Would let you stomp my dudes.
Jack Phillips

>That Fyreslayer statue in the background >No Fyreslayers in the living city.
Matthew Butler

Brody Rodriguez
How many boxes of the shadespire skeles are you buying? Oh whats that? You aren't going to buy any? No wonder they dropped TK
Cooper Jones
Didn't someone do a fanmade Tomb kings Battletome?
Justin Campbell
Well its a city thats growth from a forest . . like with walls n shit made from living trees. Makes perfect sense to have them in the living city.
Aiden Cooper
Anyone else notice those plague doctor dudes on the right? Man we need more cool things like that. (much cooler than fucking skitarii in fantasy, slav)
Leo Collins
>Makes perfect sense to have them in the living city. But what's their purpose to be in the city? Also, why it's looks like Feralas?
Parker Richardson
Well for starters they probably live there just like regular humans do. Idk maybe the dryads guard the city.
Brayden Jones
I wonder if there are sylvaneth craftspeople of some sort - it doesn't seem unreasonable to me, the lore mentions them having courts and such, right?
Nicholas Cook
I don't imagine their courts being comparable to human ones
Lincoln Diaz
>Well for starters they probably live there just like regular humans do. Except they aren't humans, they aren't even mortal race.
Josiah Johnson
>Feralas Why do you have to make the comparison to WoW? Countless settings have had forest-city fusions
Adam Reyes
for (You)s, please ignore bait in the future
Ian Williams
So? They're living inhabitants. Cities aren't just for humans
Kayden Diaz
>But what's their purpose to be in the city?
Mutual protection and doing whatever jobs it is tree people do.
>Also, why it's looks like Feralas?
How does it look like Feralas beyond their being trees?
Jason Edwards
See
Jace Martin
Not TKAnon, but I'm buying one for sure.
Jayden Davis
Wow the slav doesn't think sylvaneth belong in their own tree city in their own realm? RACIST AS FUCK
Daniel Bell
Anyone got shots of the colour schemes from the new fitestorm book? Especially the freeguild ones
Jaxson Torres
>Why do you have to make the comparison to WoW? Picture just gave me nostalgia. Nothing more. >doing whatever jobs it is tree people do Such as..? >So? They're living inhabitants. But what kind of buisinees they would walk as average citizens
Alexander James
>You aren't going to buy any? Why people who liked TK should buy shadespire?
Samuel Diaz
Lovecraftian Aelves when?
Benjamin Baker
Never. Only fantasy druchari
Leo Rodriguez
"I heard a rumor that not one but two Aelves factions are in the production line. One is the Sea/Cthullu we've heard about for a long time and the other one is a female only Aelf cult/group/thing linked to Morathi and with a strong "black" theme. And by heard I mean read, and by rumor I mean a conversation between an employee who has access to the production line and a selected community contributor. You have no reason to believe me but I'm so freaking excited I had to tell."
Adrian Edwards
>>doing whatever jobs it is tree people do >Such as..?
Sculptor, poet, merchant, architect, garden tender, plumber, rat catcher. Whatever tree people do.
Chase Ortiz
>Sculptor, poet, merchant, architect, garden tender, plumber, rat catcher. Why would spirits/wooden robots even do this kind of things?
Joseph Reed
Do you magnetize your stuff?
Jacob Bennett
Maybe to earn money. Maybe they're truly altruistic and want to help the community out. Maybe just as a hobby.
Blake Reyes
I really dig that tiger cloak. What colours did you use? I'm looking at doing tiger patterns on my vanguard hunters
John Cox
>Maybe to earn money. Why they need money? >Maybe just as a hobby. How did they came to these hobbies?
Hudson Hill
>female only Aelf cult/group/thing
Sexist.
Angel Perry
>Why they need money?
To purchase goods or services.
>How did they came to these hobbies?
Since the waning of Chaos they have more free time and do stuff to not be bored during that time.
Brody Wright
TK people are terrible, they are sitting on decades old armies and have zero intention of contributing to GW sales by buying anything. They just want to be able to use their stuff from 20 years ago, and bitch about the fact that they've been basically told to go fuck themselves because their stuff isn't going to get support.
Noah Moore
>goods or services. Such as..? >and do stuff Again, why would they've come to this kind of stuff? Instead of keep fighting Chaos (since it's their purpose) or just some autistic meditation
Sebastian Thompson
i'm making a sylvaneth army and i dont know how should i paint them. I like browng for them, since it's a nice colour and fun to paint, but it would be a little boring for the dryads and i want some continuity on the army. i was thinking also about doing a light bark and pink leaves but then the big models would look kinda shit. also i want to be kinda original. any ideas?
Hunter Miller
>TK people are terrible, All legacy players are the same
Isaiah Cook
>All legacy players are the same at least some of the "legacy" factions are still for sale in GW stores and web site...
*cough* aelves *cough*
I don't think all the legacy stuff is the same in that respect.
Gabriel Myers
Slav detected.
Elijah Long
>Such as..?
Food or nutrients, flashy ornamentation, collectables, salves, drugs, massages, pruning. Whatever they need.
>Again, why would they've come to this kind of stuff?
They grew bored of autistic meditation and don't want to go far from home to fight Chaos.
Jacob Adams
>*cough* aelves *cough* That's a nice irony in your post user
Jaxon Wood
My dad works at nintendo
John Sullivan
>Food or nutrients Couldn't they just find place with good ground? >ornamentation, collectables, salves, drugs, massages, pruning. Why do they even need such things? >They grew bored of autistic meditation They are trees. >and don't want to go far from home to fight Chaos. But the Realm of Life is their home
Jeremiah Hall
>Delicious brown elves in a crazy cult all female army Please, my dick can only get so hard
Ayden Moore
is it too much to ask for a god damn codex for a unit I walk into a GW store and buy a box of off the shelf today?
I don't think so.
but whatever
Christopher Jenkins
He said black, not brown, probably something like DE mandrakes or wracks.
Kayden Hernandez
Well, it's not like we've bothered to explain what the fuck any of these species are like. I mean, even in muh battletomes that are supposed to fill in all those lore gaps and shut up all complainers, jack shit is actually said.
Jacob Gutierrez
>is it too much to ask f >legacy-army Yes user, it's too much
Mason Hill
>Couldn't they just find place with good ground?
Working a job may well be easier
>Why do they even need such things?
To enhance their social appeal.
>They are trees.
Not actual trees, they're sentient beings with intellects of their own.
>But the Realm of Life is their home
Not true, they are scattered around the various realms and only a specific area is their home. Some probably do think of the realms as their home in totality, but not everyone one would think the same.
Xavier Watson
So you read Lady Atia's blog as well. Nice job copy/pasting a random comment from some no-name.
Cooper Richardson
It's supposed to creep me out just how much fucking pride AoS fans take in having destroyed another game in order to exist, right? Like, you're doing it on purpose?
Jack Diaz
>Working a job may well be easier Seriously? In the whole plane of fucking life, where everything grew extra good? >To enhance their social appeal. Again, why? >Not actual trees, they're sentient beings with intellects of their own. Okay, they are wooden spirits
Hunter Phillips
Nope, just enjoying your tears And I really think that you like TK-players in this user post
Jose Young
>Seriously?
Yes. They can perhaps find whatever basic nutrients they need easily, but enjoy the 'taste' of something they need to buy.
>Again, why?
So people will like them more.
>Okay, they are wooden spirits
Right, so since they have intellects it's feasible that they could grow bored.
Isaiah Johnson
>but enjoy the 'taste' of something they need to buy. Okay, still looks weak contruction. >So people will like them more. For what reason they will do it? >Right, so since they have intellects it's feasible that they could grow bored. Yeah, but due to their mythological definition, spirits are different from mortals
Ryan Hughes
>Okay, still looks weak contruction.
How so? Many people buy spices or flavourings despite not needing them.
>For what reason they will do it?
As social creatures their standing will affect the way they interact with others.
>Yeah, but due to their mythological definition, spirits are different from mortals
So? Spirit doesn't mean robotic. Gods and spirits throughout mythology do things besides fight or meditate.
Brandon Barnes
Actually, newfag here, curious about this game, thought I'd learn things about it. What I learned is that the player-base is every bit as toxic as it was in WHFB, but have convinced themselves it's not because they like golden men and steampunk dwarves instead of skellies and asshole knights. So, bye, I guess.
Caleb Roberts
>codex
Charles Howard
>How so? Because they aren't humans. >As social creatures They are spirits. >Spirit doesn't mean robotic. yes, but it means they are different from the humans.
Jace Roberts
>What I learned is that the player-base is every bit as toxic as it was in WHFB Nope, because we actually supporting and discussing the game Content-wise battletome today pretty close to codex
Nathaniel Perez
>Veeky Forums community is shitty as fuck so the aos player-base must be toxic too!
Daniel Harris
>Because they aren't humans.
Why should that mean they can recieve pleasure from their senses?
>They are spirits.
Spirits cannot be social?
>yes, but it means they are different from the humans.
Yet still not robotic.
They're not human, but they still think, feel and sense.
Adrian Jenkins
>Spirits cannot be social? Well yeah, since they aren't famous civilization-builders >Yet still not robotic. I've never claimed they should be 100% robotic. >but they still think, feel and sense. Yes, but they suppose to do it in a very-very different way from humans, because they aren't humans/aelves/duardins etc. So saying "they doing just as humans doing" is kind of weak contruction, because said creatures very different from humans
James Russell
lol
Blake Johnson
>can buy off the shelf in GW store today
>is legacy
pick one
Sebastian Baker
>>can buy off the shelf in GW store today The same was with Spire of Dawn and where is it now?
Luke Lee
>Well yeah, since they aren't famous civilization-builders
You don't have to build a civillisation to be social. And Sylvaneth did build civilisations.
>I've never claimed they should be 100% robotic.
I never said you did, but by not being robotic they can pursue things for their own ends.
>Yes, but they suppose to do it in a very-very different way from humans
Not very different. They get happy, sad, angry and so on. They're much like other races in emotional terms.
In any case I feel we're circling the drain a little and I'm sure you've understood why they might be in the city.
Luke Evans
Riddle me this - is it a good idea to buy two start collecting boxes and convert the one ogor into hunter? I don't like the finecast model but I still want to use a hunter and some frost sabres. I'm just not sure if there will be enough bits to do this or should I keep all bits and models to swap Huskard/Frostlord for more Beastriders from time to time
Robert Lee
>You don't have to build a civillisation to be social. Yeah, but civilizations always indicates the social progress. >And Sylvaneth did build civilisations They've build groves. >they can pursue things for their own ends. But this ends supposed to be different >They're much like other races in emotional terms. The simple fact that they have emotions doesn't makes them the same as other races. >and I'm sure you've understood why they might be in the city. Honestly user, nope, the "just the same reasons as humans" feels really weak and basing only on the fact that they have emotions
Dominic Gray
>Thing that is not for sale in GW store
>thing that is for sale in GW store
see the difference?
Ian Hill
>>Thing that once was for sale in GW store >>thing that is for sale in GW store see simmilarities?
Thomas Rogers
the difference is what matters.
Its bullshit to sell units in stores and not give them a codex. Its absurd, to the point of being ludicrous.
Carson Cox
>the difference is what matters. They might be temporary. >Its bullshit to sell starters in stores and not give them a codex.
Anthony Gray
World of Warcraft invented trees
Jacob Thomas
How rekt would i get playin pure scourge privateers? I dont play aos but want some corsairs for dark eldar and figured i could make a small force to play with out of the anvilgard box.
In return for tips and advice on allies and lists ill give you rumours i heard from my friend whos close with GW people.
Isaac Anderson
>How rekt would i get playin pure scourge privateers? Depends from the opponent. >ill give you rumours i heard from my friend whos close with GW people. You really expecting anyone will fell for it?
Jack Ramirez
What happens when some mixes Grimnir's pieces with 40Khaine's pieces?
Thomas Thomas
You should buy that anvilgard box, keep the Stormcast then trade the scourge privateers for more Stormcast.
Anthony Reyes
Sure why not?
Leo Gonzalez
well someday they wont sell SC anymore so according to your logic its stupid to give them a codex.
obviously you're being deliberately obtuse in order to provoke. To that I say, fuck you.
Charles Gomez
But i hate them.
Luke Jenkins
>Not liking golden men Go away. If you don't like Stormcast you don't belong playing AoS
Angel Lopez
Well you gave rubbish advice so no rumours (which are pretty much fact)
David Gonzalez
completely ass blasted in every match up. Its a joke mini-faction of elves, like every other bull-shit mini faction of elves that they shattered the original three into.
Nicholas Sullivan
Can you not ally in stuff to supplement them and make them decent?
Jason Lee
Well in that case I can finally use this pic again.
I'd say just buy the Elves on their own, but they'll have square bases. You could buy the Anvilgard set and try to sell off the Stormcast or trade them for other Elves, but the used market for Stormcast is so saturated that they aren't worth too much.
Juan Thomas
Stop replying to shitposter. Just play with a faction you like. I know a guy that's playing Devoted of Sigmar and he has a lot of fun with his small legacy army
Jaxon Baker
Ive already duped a sucker into going halvez with me, £40 each
Evan Sanchez
Sorry dont come here often its all fresh bait to me.
Yeah theyll always have a use even if i get battered in AoS.
Alright well my rumours are, and sorry if its common knowledge;
Morathi is coming back soon, she has two forms one caster one monster (a medusa).
Theres a new "elf" army coming that rides seahorses and sounds very similar to warcraft Naga. Tridents and shit.
Christian Rivera
...
Ethan Moore
Honestly dude, if your local group is cool with proxies, paint them like vampires. Use them as grave guard, skeleton warriors and whatever and make yourself a unique army themed after the Wraith fleet allegiance from Firestorm.
Scourge Privateers have the worst warscrolls in game, and are generally overcosted. There's not a single unit that pulls it's weight. The corsairs are garbage. This is what I would do. Their models are really cool.
