I'd also argue that Ciaphas Cain was interesting for one book where it was funny and then turned into the exact same thing over and over again with absolutely no character development or interesting additions to the setting aside from "dude Flashman lmao." Still better than LCB. Cain doesn't actually break the internal logic of the series nearly as hard either, as Cain plays his role of Imperial hero outwardly straight it's just his internal commentary and unreliable narration that casts doubt on it.
