How is CSM possibly better than IG? IG have massively better stratagems (once you factor in more CP and more ways to regain them), better faction rules (orders versus Death to the False Emperor), and their sub-faction rules are about as good if not better.

This year seems to be the year of Nurgle.

I highly recommend it. I think the Utopia and the latest DLC are a must, and I have leviathans, but I honestly have no idea if I've ever even seen content in-game from it except perhaps once.

I play primaris marines and i'm thinking about including a detachment of guardsmen just to get more bodies on the table for objectives and stuff. Does this make me a bad person?

At this point it's impossible to say which he is. In the FLG review of the guard dex he claimed, among other things that the guard dex was "balanced" and that "all the marine chapter tactics are equally viable" even when frankie, one of the other play testers, pointed out how much better the RG tactic was than most everything else. And then he defended the lack of certain nerfs by saying "maybe the dex was written and printed long before all the unbalanced stuff came to light, maybe." Nobody is deluded enough to think that playtesting of any kind is perfect, so I'm so confused why he won't come out and just admit they missed some major shit

I try recess washing my vehicles and doing the rivets but it NEVER looks as good as everyone elses end results. I got advice once to just apply agraax like i usually do but to clean up by drybrushing the vehicle with my base color. Would this work?

Played a 5000pt game today and honestly pissed off at it all. Painted all of my models,my opponent didn't. Bragged constantly too and took 2 hours for his first turn leaving me with only one turn. But how are you fine anons? What are you up to today? Show me your dudes

Thoughts on Devil Dogs in a Tallarn army? They don't take an accuracy hit to the melta cannon (or hull multimelta if you give 'em one) for moving, so it seems like they could be potent little tank hunters zooming around, or at least good distraction carnifexes.

Anything that's not in the codex you can still use the index for, yes.

If a model isn't in the codex then the most recent profile for said model (and its equipment) must be used, so for Rough Riders you use the Index.

Not just rough riders, but things like HQ on bikes and demon steeds ect. are not in the codexes but GW says you can still use the Index but the units are officially considered 'Legacy' units and won't be getting new models in the future.

You can use anything from the index, but if there is a more current version in a codex, you must use the codex rules for that model.
