Hi guys, my friend is a ultramarinecunt and fields 4 AC razorbacks + 2 stormtalons and tacticals (he is getting girlyman soon...) against my fluffy dg lists (typhus, loads of plague marines and pox walkers), how would i go about beating him? The only thing i can think of is helbrute spam but that's no fun...

This thread is now claimed for the chapter and Inquisition.

THIRD FOR THE SONS OF TITAN LOSING THEIR WEAPONS TO HIVEWORLD SCUM
>yo tech priest, where's muh halberd.
>we..you....its...uh, gone sir.
>whaddoyoumeangone.jpg
>you, uh...forgot it sir...on that Agrimida V planet..
>DAMN IT. I knew that cute ganger girl was just interested in my shit. Should've purged the shit out of her.....
>at least the sex was breddy gud

You sound like an ass.

git gud

Playing fluffy is being an ass? Netlisting and bringing the most point efficient powerlist is not? Right

Fluffy can never beat WAACfag. Full stop.
Even the most WAACfag DG can't ever beat full WAACfag Ultramarines. I suggest getting new friends

Don't play him? But if you wanna beat him so badly, just get Mortarion desu.

If you're worried about fluff, just remember that Morty is basically Typhus' bitch at this point because of the amount of favour he has with Nurgle.

Also what this user said is right. If you don't like playing him, then there isn't any point wasting your time with him.

Anyone else think something like a "grot crew" upgrade for Ork vehicles would be pretty gut. It makes the vehicles BS4+ rather than 5+.

so Veeky Forums overall which regiment has the best doctrine/order/strategem for mechanised/tank companys.

stop being a fluffy faggot

That user was probably your friend

Does the mount up order allow shooting if the unit fell back, advanced or is in close combat?

...

sure, but there has to be a dice roll involved that represents grots messing up somewhere

Is 4 razorbacks more waacfag than 2 and a land raider?

alright so looking at the tau index I'm thinking that stealth suits with shield generators are going to be annoying as fuck to take down when in cover

suggest other ways to be an annoying dickbag to the dude on the other side of the table, since that's what tau do best

so with the changes to leman russes are the tiers still the same or are some of the shit options useable now?

drop in 10 termis with combi-plasmas
cast death hex on girlyman
cast prescience on termies
Light up girlyman with 20 rapid fire overcharged plasma shots
make your terminators Slaanesh for even more fun: us the 2CP strategem to have them take a second shooting phase for 40 total overcharged plasma shots

Unless I'm missing something it looks like Pask and Tank Commanders can order themselves now?

Tallarn IMO. IG ballistic skill isn't that great, so being able to drive about and shoot better than an ork seems like a good deal.

>Now that the guns shoot twice are the bad guns better than the good?

Rate my list and fluff, please.

>you bring a list with nothing but hordes and elite infantry, all your antitank is probably meltaguns on plague marines
>you wonder why you get rekt and complain on Veeky Forums
Dude, just grab a helbrute or two. Or some Havocs. Or a Predator with lascannons. Or just ANY KIND OF ARMOR.
This honestly just sounds like you just lack the longrange AT firepower to delete one or two of his Razorbacks in a turn. Helbrutes/Dreadnoughts are always cool. Predators are good. Learn to play NUUB.

10/10 great job A++++++

Well, a gun that could get the job half-done before might have a chance to finish the job nowadays, right?

Basically, the tattered remnants of a Battle Group. Most survivors are Vostroyan but elements of Cadian, Tallarn, Mordian and Armageddon regiments still exist scattered around.
The average company in the force is what I'm trying to represent here - 2 platoons of 25 Guardsmen with attached special and heavy weapons, supported by a mortar platoon and some rough riders, with Mordian infantry/tanks, Armageddon veterans and Tallarn reconnaissance elements attached as available. Maybe some Cadians as well, though I'm more keen on representing less-seen regiments (including Victoria's female not-Mordians).

And the good gun are twice as good

Chaoscucks begone, this thread is only for those with purity of heart and mind now.

yea but lots of models have more wounds now? so it would still get the job half done.

It might be difficult to kill, but you still need to kill shit yourself. Still think stealthsuits are better served taking a support system that makes them more deadly rather than a shield generator, as burst cannons aren't exactly going to make your opponent quake in their boots.

Only change is that the Annihilator has fallen behind.

> guard players
> doing anything other than turtling in a corner like a little bitch
Just take Cadians you little bitch. It's not like you will spend money on the nice metal models. You will be spamming shit painted shock troops with mismatched count as weapons on your Leman Russ. Just embrace your shit self

Yeah, but now the "bad" guns (which are generally just specialised) are now functional.
8e in general has made weapons with no chance more useful, it might be the case with the leman russ.

Are you thinking of something specifically?

I thought you were only able to make a whole detachment dedicated to one doctrine?

Tallarn, Vostroyan or Cadian. Catachan might be worth a look.

I brought 3 helbrutes to have any chance against the RB's but they got obliterated in two turns

>I run a Typhus horde army
>Fluffy

nah

when the chaos models drop
the imperial posting should stop

Really? I thought you could take whatever doctrines you wanted, but orders etc could only be issued to regiments from the same home-worlds.

Either way, it meshes... kind of poorly with IG fluff, if you ask me.

kys

>being this salty

steel legion master race pal

easy example, Termies went from 1 wound to 2
a lot of HQs went up in wounds too.
Chaos lord went from 3 to 6

I was thinking of pairing them with one or more devilfish stuffed with breachers and darkstrider, with AV support fire of some kind. I was thinking HRR/plasma broadsides with a fireblade and strike teams, but if there's something more annoying to deal with I'll certainly consider it.

It never gets old that it meas "Kisses" in a fair amount of languages.

I love my fucking corner and my Leman Russes are magnetised.

Baw, don't be like that. I need infantry to advance across no-man's land, and fluff suggests plasma guns and heavy bolters are the favoured weapons of the Vostroyans. I considered just spamming lascannon/3 plasma guns/heavy flamer Firstborn veterans, but that seemed OP.

Your friend's list is also fluffy.

Deathstrikes are still fucking awful
0 Playtesting confirmed

yeah was leaning towards tallarn for mobility or catachan for more consistent firepower, just trying to decide which offers the best additional strategems/orders now

>be annoying as fuck to take down when in cover

I am Imperial Fists

What is cover?

Does anyone have that screenshot of GW addressing options that are in the index but missing in the codex? Mainly want to see if I can take evisverators or not.

Yeah that's how it works. It'd be really unbalanced if you could give whatever unit whichever doctrine, you could be playing up the strengths of every unit you have..

>DG Helbrutes getting shat on by AC Razorbacks
>not equipping them with Lascannons and staying out of 24" range so they have to move, and only hit on 4s
Dude, I think you're just shit at the game.

Deathstrikes are, and always have been, a joke unit.

I think Tallarn has the more flexible order of the two. Consider a detachment of Steel Legionnaires, they synergize well with Tallarn (being fairly mobile if played to their strengths), and IRL tank convoys often have mechanised support.

That makes sense, does it work that way for other Codexes/indexes as well? I'm new to 8E and all of these changes are making me cranky.

Can I run my conscripts by using index rules?

And still painted like shit.

Yes

Are they a unit that is no longer listed in the codex?

A different kind of Champion of Slaanesh.

yeah all my mech inf are steel legion so should synergize well, just seems that the armageddon doctrine for tanks is shit so thinking tallarn lrbt and SL mech

No. Also kys

I don't see anything in the IG codex about only taking 1 company commander per detachment. Was that a FAQ, or was I misinformed?

> why can't thing I like be good at everything??!?!
Kys

Fucking Florida Man

Yeah, the Armageddon tanks aren't anything special.

I kind of wish the Mordian tanks were better in melee or something, since their crews are fluffed as training obsessively

>purposely handicapping yourself for no reason
>still being this salty

Hard man, I bet you skip bus fare and cross yellow lights.

You can actually. From the Codexes FAQ

>There are a few options that are missing in the codex that appear in the index: why is that? Does that mean I can’t use these models in my army anymore?

>While the indexes are designed to cover a long history of miniatures, the codexes are designed to give you rules for the current Warhammer 40,000 range. There are a few options in the indexes for some Characters and vehicles that are no longer represented in the Citadel range – certain Dreadnought weapons that don’t come in the box, or some characters on bikes, for example.

So priests can still take their shitty powerfist knockoffs.

I think it's more that all the Infantry units have gotten pretty good and fluffy rules, but the vehicles are weirdly inconsistent.

Except Mordians. Their rules are overall pretty weak.

>Imperial Knight Paladin and Knight Errant unavailable online
W-what does it mean? They will restock them, right?

* But fluffy, at least for the infantry.

>still trying this hard

Sorry, I misquoted you

Yes, they just have way higher demand and can't keep up.

Eldar next codx, just confirmed in the Facebook page asking the community about their favourite craftworlds

Nope, Imperial Knights are going to be squatted.

Next week?

>The Gallant/Crusader/Choppy Kit includes all the old bits form the Paladin/Errant kit
>also has all the new weapons, and a couple more head options
>this is somehow a problem

Different person actually, just couldn't
resist pulling your jowel-stache.

wait am i missing something or does that not clarify anything?

just explains why some stuffs missing

I can't afford them ;_;

The mordian rules are actually okay-ish, just overshadowed by the ridiculousness of Tallarn and Catachan. Firing squads are great, volley fire is great, and the Iron Star relic makes Ogryn Bodyguards a godsend.

It's just the other doctrines are such huge army-wide buffs.

Bullgryns are worth taking even without Celestine or Priests right?

I thought the most likely steel legion tactic would have been something strategecally interesting like the ability to disembark transports after moving, instead they got some generic shit and the worst relic and strategem. Sometimes i just dont understand the thought process behind some of these rules.

I'm retarded, forgot the second paragraph

>Don’t worry though, you can still use all of these in your games if you have these older models. In these instances, use the datasheet from the index, and the most recent points published for that model and its weapons (currently, also in the index).

No idea man but I don't think so, maybe they will start the previews soon

>Waaaah waaaah why is my not OP like the others

The Priest entry is superseded by the codex, only if you'd have no priest access at all would you be able to take the eviscerator priest.

I thought they only sold the Warden.
Still, what's the problem? Buy a Warden and sell the Gattling Cannon for like $32, and yes, I'm still salty about how difficult it is to get another one for my Traitor knight.

Dude, the Gallant kit costs 15 euros more than the Paladin one. I fail to see how you cant afford 15 euros more than the other one.

Also, the new knight kit, while it says "Gallant", is essentially just a "Imperial Knight" kit. You can build anyone you want with it.
Better yet, you can magnetize all the parts like I did to swap them out in different battles, without needing to buy 5 knights.

I was curious about this. What is the new knight kit missing that would prevent me from making any of the knights? I can't tell shit from the sprue online

>There are a few options in the indexes for some Characters and vehicles that are no longer represented in the Citadel range – certain Dreadnought weapons that don’t come in the box, or some characters on bikes, for example.

>Don’t worry though, you can still use all of these in your games if you have these older models. In these instances, use the datasheet from the index, and the most recent points published for that model and its weapons (currently, also in the index).

It talks about characters having missing weapon options, and then immediately says "But you can still use them!"

Been a while. I have about 1000 points of DEldar . How will I fare against codex armies? Literally everyone at my GW was playing SM when I popped in for a tournament the other day. I have a kabal force with a couple reavers from the SC thrown in.

I thought you were talking about the 372 € kit... were you not?
Also I never magnetized and I don't know what size they must be

... huh. Still confused.

Like I said hereyou can make any knight you want with the new kit. There is only one Knight kit. They all have the same sprues.
This is why I assume the Paladin/Errant sprues wont come back, since there's no reason to reprint sprues that dont have all the options in them.
As you can see in pic related, my knight also has the meltacannon and the gatling gun option.

I fear that might be a chronic condition then.
