Okay guys, what are your characters?

>Okay guys, what are your characters?
>Dwarf paladin!
>Elf wizard!
>Human fighter!
>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey druid with the sidhe scholar ACF
>Human rogue

>lesser fey
>Sidhe anything

back to character creation kiddo

Hey, if he plays his fey druid well, I don't see a problem.

Have you tried not playing 3.PF?

Oh man, fuck this shit, the Dwarf and Rogue better be great RPs and teamplayers or else fuck off

Dwarf, humans and elf - unless that elf is drow, pick another race.

>A bunch of tier 5 and two tier 1
>He worries about races

>Gnoll druid (3.5)
>Human Alchemist (5e)
>Ithorian Bard (Star Wars)
>Ghoul information broker (SR 5e)

Sounds great team! Let's get started!

>two humans
>two core races
>one exotic

Literally perfect, let's go.

Hi Derek

This. What's the problem exactly?

Nice, finally a perfectly balanced team, not just class, but race wise as well.

I can already tell this campaign is going to be awesome.

>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey
So, some sort of vaguely sinister ice fairy? Sounds legit enough, I guess.

>crusader
>warmage
>warblade
>spirit shaman
>factotum
>no templates, no LA adjusted shit.
Thank me later

>Druids and wizards
Absolutely disgusting.

You lucky bastard. Some of your players are actually humans?

It's very difficult to find players that aren't humans
None of the cats I've tried have worked out, they won't pay with the team, and the dogs just get way too excited and try to eat the dice.

>>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey druid with the sidhe scholar ACF
Why would you allow someone to use a template in character creation, especially one that makes a character evil? Otherwise, its an alright character. Though i'm worried the newbies might take advantage of the veteran players knowledge to subtly metagame.

>I'm a magic fucking bear that gets drunk and eat kids

No totemist no deal.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. What's the problem?

>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey druid with the sidhe scholar ACF

Dammit, Scatman John. Like I told you last time, you either pick a class that we all can pronounce without choking on our own phlegm, or you're out.

>paraelemental
Literally the only thing wrong here. It doesn't make sense for the fundamental building blocks of matter to have halfway states.

>Ok, well then, you all meet in a tavern...

That's why players should always make their characters together

subtle racist comment?

Paraelementals are just fusions of elements. Because Ice has to be different than water. Mud has to be different from Earth. Dust can't just be air or earth. And Lava/Magma must be different from ire.

Or just play 5e and use the classes they want instead of digging through multiple books for classes that barely work better that have cluttered mechanics. Also no LAs in the first place

>allowing your players to play non-humans

Your brought it on yourself

>playing a system in which non-human aren't an appealing and viable alternative

> Okay guys, what are your characters?
> Undead rogue!
> Undead druid!
> Undead wizard!
> Undead cleric!
> Dragonborn fighter!
> DM quietly puts his notes away

>Tiefling warlock
>Drow Rogue
>Tiefling Rogue
>Gnome
>Tiefling Warlock

There is no problem.

>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey druid with the sidhe scholar ACF

well the dwarf is wrong too. it should be

>male dwarf fighter
>male human paladin
>male human wizard
>male human ranger
>male human rogue

>perfect perfect. You all start off in a graveyard, you worked for an evil warlock that a group of adventurers just took out. Now freed from his power you set out to make up a difference in the world.

here let me break it down for you

>Lesser ice para-genasi
basically an ice person
>unseelie fey
who is an Asshole fae
>druid
really into nature
>sidhe scholar ACF
with added Fae stuff thrown in

got it?

Oh, I get it, but it is still confusing af
an asshole ice person that also happens to be a druid, ounds too donut steel for me!

Dickbag ice-themed fey druids could plausibly be relatively common if whatever frozen wastes exist in your setting have a faerie presence.

Mechanical Choice
Mechanical Choice
Mechanical Choice
Mechanical Choice, and better knowledge of the rules
Mechanical Choice

I don't see any options that are like
>Dwarven Bard looking for his lost home

Dwarf probably "Wanted to try paladin this time"
Elf likes spells, and OH! Hey elf's get a bonus in favor of that.
Human fighter probably wants to try the Trip feat line.
Druid read some hand book recently,
and rogue didn't know what to pick so he went with the safe option.

All Mechanical choice, just on different levels. You should not be mad at any of them OP.

All that said, the L.I.P.G.U.F.Druid w/ S.S. ACF is probably the most interesting thing you can do with THAT party, without knowing any more other info on the other characters.

>Lesser
How does one have a lesser Genasi? Lesser fey perhaps?
>Ice para-genasi
Elemental planes often run an arabian night vibe with noble houses. So the player is already a distance relation to a Noble house.
Ice is also not one of the main inner-planes, so it's a lesser known house looking to improve it's reputation.
>Fey Sidhe scholar
So a part fey that is big into learning heritage of his family? Probably for spells and power sure, but he'd have to know his family line too?

>Genasi AND Fey?
The unity of two planar houses through a marriage? Probably in an effort to improve the standing of both houses. An Ice/Un-Fey parrying would also make sense in D&D's version as the unseelie court is very ice and crystal themed- and murder which also fits the Unseelie and Para-ice.

The PC is just happens to be the offspring of this political marriage and now find himself caught in the middle by birth. Weather the character wants it or not.

FUCK OP! I've talked myself into it! This druid is by far the one of the more interesting spring board hooks I've seen in a while. I would LOVE to run a political intrigue between two planar houses like this and have the PCs caught in the middle.

Underrated post.

I actually really like this idea. But I would make it so the players have only the barest memories of working for the warlock.

>Okay guys, what are your characters?
Human Explorer [Trader]
Bothan Hired Gun [Bodyguard]
Human Colonist [Doctor]
Twilek Warrior [Shii-Cho Knight] with a Lightsaber Pike that has the ultra-rare pink/pale green khyber crystal!
Rodian Bounty Hunter [Gadgeteer]

This is the fucking worst. I always make an effort to keep that shit the fuck away from all my campaigns.

>Rodian

There's yer problem right there. Why do people like this shit race?

>OK, so as you guys requested, a human only campaign. What are your characters?
>An aspiring paladin (knight)
>A rogue
>A bard
>A four armed fighter dude

Rated post.

>A four armed fighter dude
Take some levels in monk

Shit, wrong picture!

Tien is some variety of abhuman or something, he has extra body parts.

Tien is some variety of jobber or something. But he does look sick in DBFZ.

His multi-arm technique is literally that: a technique that any ki-sensitive being can acquire. However, it's such a shitty ability that very few have bothered.

>Lesser ice para-genasi unseelie fey druid with the sidhe scholar ACF

Sounds like she's gonna be the best character to me

This pasta is stale.

Or have a brain and use DnD Tools dot com as a single source for every class and feat.

I don't know where I went wrong Veeky Forums
>dorf monk (homebrewed as pugilist), m
>woodelf rogue, f played by f
>THE REST ARE VARIATIONS ON SPELLCASTERS, ALL CROSSPLAY
Help

I'd play that.

>Gnome
Class?
>I'm a gnome
Right, got that. What class are you?
>Gnome
...Spellcaster, martial?
>Nah, just a Gnome

I agree, the "people" who choose to play as dwarves are a fucking disgrace.

Doesn't matter what class a gnome is. I have never seen someone play a gnome that wasn't a complete annoyance.

Also,

>three martials
>two casters

Yeah this party is perfection.

maybe the undead were mostly former adventurers themselves who had been defeated and added to the undead horde and remember little between dying and being freed.
