What's the best version of poker?

Not necessarily the best, but my grandpa taught me this weird poker game called Dime Store. In it, 5s and 10s are wild, but can't be a 5 or 10. This eliminates all forms of straights. To this day I've never met anyone else who has even heard of it.

My nigga, I can never get my poker friends to play it with me because rounds take too long compared to Texas hold'em, but it brings so much deduction and consideration to the table.

I learned them as the same game, and you only get 2 pocket cards. Otherwise, your description of Iron Cross is correct. Still the best poker I've ever played.

theres a couple where they play, that pics from season 2 cuz they got the replacement doctor.

That specific episode is Best of Both Worlds, Part 1. You can tell because the blond woman on the left is Commander Shirley. They aren't playing anything exciting, just normal poker (I believe 5-card stud, actually).

The TNG cast plays poker in many episodes though, and even adds a unique format: Federation Day (five card, but aces, 2s, and 6s are wild). Also, Doctor Pulaski has a terrible game in season two that is 5 card stud hi-low jacks are wild, the man with the axe takes all. I played this once, it was abysmally terrible.

Fuck, now I really want to watch this show.

Eh, poker isn't really a major feature of the show or anything man, it just comes up from time to time as a character exploration vessel.

You should totally watch The Next Generation anyway though, because the show is awesome and the characters are relatable and excellent.
