You might get your ass blasted off the table without a Wraith Engine
Logan Allen
Did they post the company of iron rules already? Where can I find them?
Brody Edwards
Truthfully, they've been pretty good since the BE update. Most of the strong lists from Winds of Death are carried on the back of the siege animantarax. Zaadesh 2, Rasheth, and Morghoul 2 in that theme with 2 battle engines are no joke.
Makeda 2 had already kind of phased out but she'll have a surge again with Masters of War, which is the same list but with 16 free points all of a sudden.
The Xerxis archidon spam will probably fade out, unless Cygnar lightning shooting remains. With the storm cav nerf I doubted it, but its still legit for double storm strider.
The Exalted is neato but it's a few releases away from being really competitive. The problem with it is even armor that high can get broken, especially on single wound guys. It's a less effective gear check than what khador can pull off, but kills incorporeal shit for the tradeoff.
Jace Gray
Disciples of Agony is looking cool. The battle boar and +8 Str bronze back memeing is cute, but it'll just get rolled by Cryx so I don't expect it to break out into a boogeyman list.
It's really all about the blind walker. Getting sac pawn minion and arc nodes for the pain giver warlocks is bonkers good. Xekaar will have be able to support Chiron with Pursuit, so you have a big slippery toad that can move around and counter blast with boosted hit spray 10 on your turn, have fun with that. Also a couple prey shooting units with access to mortality.
It really all depends on how the minions CID shakes out. It has the potential to be degenerate if some of that stuff gets buffed to the point where skorne can break it.
John Sullivan
I want the Trollblood updates and I want them now Gimme that Mulg >Arcane Vortex >Channeling >hyper regen >higher strength
Sebastian Martinez

Yeah, the best Immortals spam I've seen played just tricks you into thinking it's an attrition list long enough to assassinate you. Killing their shit just makes their assassination run that much better.
Angel Cooper
Noob question here. Can someone explain Grymkin Crabbits to me? Looking at their stats in War Room it says "2 Crabbits" but there is only one health wheel, and when you select "Go To War" in it and fill up the health wheel it marks the whole unit as dead. Does one of them die after so many boxes are filled or what?
Do they only trigger abilities like King of Nothing's Kingdom of Silence when they both die?
Hunter Collins
>Everblight has a succubus (Male)
William Parker
I think they are supposed to drop this week.
Nicholas Davis
>Can someone explain Grymkin Crabbits to me? They're like... half crab and half rabbit, or something.
I don't think anyone except Jason Soles can explain it to you, and he's not talking.
Josiah Anderson
Well I don't have the grymkin deck, but I think you should only be able to buy them one at a time? Are you sure one of them isn't like (2) Crabbit? Cause that's supposed to be the second crabbit
Colton Brown
2nd for certain. It's hard to beat the waking nightmare that is Grymkin.
Ian Cox
>It's hard to beat the waking nightmare that is Grymkin. I haven't decided yet if Grymkin are actually that amazing, or if it's still just nobody has really figured out how to play into them yet.
Gabriel Hughes
It's a lesser warbeast, not a unit, you just buy them in pairs for 7 points per pair. It's the same stupid thing they did with the reptile hound that everyone hated and yelled about until it got fixed. I think Soles might actually feed off negative emotions in some way. Not in the "yessss I enjoy your suffering" way, but more "oh god, how can a human have that haircut and still get up in the morning, urrk I'm going to be sick" way.
Zachary Barnes
Don't have one, so that's off the table.
Ethan Barnes
They can engineer matchups super easy
Ayden Lopez
I am four games into vs Grymkin and haven't lost a single one yet. I think they (or maybe just the warlocks I faced) aren't great against Khador.
>They can engineer matchups super easy Sure, reactivity is kinda their whole deal though. Without that aspect the faction would just kinda be... crappy Legion, or something. Not downplaying the strength of the design or the Arcana, they're obviously great./ but being able to cancel out opponents' stuff is the core mechanic they are all designed around.
>I am four games into vs Grymkin and haven't lost a single one yet. I think they (or maybe just the warlocks I faced) aren't great against Khador. Could be your opponent too. As hard as they are to figure out from across the table, I think new players to the faction have even more trouble.
Charles Bell
>Could be your opponent too.
You know what, fair enough. So far I haven't actually "played" against Grymkin. I always went for the kill on turn 2/top of 3.
My first game against the Heretic, I used Butcher 3 for a big feat + drag, which caused the murder of two Skins and moans, a Gorehound and camping 6, which somehow made me survive the Fury'd Heretic's swings and a 6 man CRA from the Hollowmen under his Arcana.
Second game, Heretic again. I managed to get a lucky crit-throw with Conquest against the Heretic, which allowed Sorscha2 to scoot across the table and one-shot him through his only transfer with Feat and an absurd roll.
Third game, I played a one-way Sorscha1 Assassination list against the Heretic for a third time. First, I knocked down one of his three heavies, which built a wall in front of the caster. Then, I feated with Sorscha1 and shot the Heretic dead with a shitton of snipers and Rockets.
Fourth game went basically exactly the same as #3, just against the Child this time. Freeze the child, shoot the Fury off with Eiryss and kill the Warlock with every bullet I have.
Maybe I should face them with Legion of Steel for once, but that sounds like a pain in the ass to play.
Brandon Bell
Does anyone have a PDF of the Trollbloods Command book?
Caleb Roberts
Does anyone know when the first wave of Minicrate sculpts are being sent out? I want my swamp waifu.
Jayden Russell
I mean, Skorne doesn't drop DoA into Cryx.
It drops Masters, which absolutely fucks Ghost Fleet and does just fine into just about everything else.
Xavier Collins
>Skorne is the best hordes faction now >LaughingGrumblecrumbs.jpeg
Jonathan Taylor
Reading this your opponent is clearly not leveraging his shield guards or Arcana correctly
Lincoln Cox
Game 3 didn't have credits and opted for 4 gremlin swarms instead.
Not that Shield guard help if you're frozen. And neither does the Stealth Arcana, because you're not actually killing a model that isn't the warlock.
Lucas Bennett
Crabbits and Swarms are not mutually exclusive. You can, and should, have both in your list. Not taking advantage of them is a great way lose games.
Benjamin Morales
...
Ryder Gonzalez
Did PP think about the current Bane Knight models at all when they gave them defensive line? They're really hard to get to b2b, especially if you didn't consider it when assembling them.
Daniel Williams
You're new the Warmachine, I assume?
Hunter Myers
Try looking at fucking Warders Good luck trying to get the unit leader to fit anywhere
Aiden Thompson
Not knocking your skills as a player by any means but it absolutely is your opponent. If you get assassinated on turn 2 or 3 you're definitely doing something wrong, especially 4 games in a row, and especially using a faction as heavy on the denial as Grymkin.
Khador is tough to crack and if you're playing a jack heavy list a beast heavy list is pretty much the only answer. Those Skin n Moans get taken out early and you're in trouble.
Gabriel Reyes
been gone for about a year, catch me up on all the happenings.
Nathaniel Russell
On the subject of Grymkin, can anyone help with a couple of lists?
Child -Cage Rager -x3 Skin n Moans -x2 Rattler -Crabbit Death Knell Karianna Rose Dread Rots (max) x4 Gremlin Swarms
Dreamer -x2 Frightmare -x2 Gorehound -Crabbits Death Knell Lord Longfellow x2 Witchwood Trapperkin x2 Hollowmen + UA x2 Murder Crows
Pretty happy with the first list, the gunline though I'm not so sure about. It has zero way of dealing with heavies. Suggestions?
Thomas Morgan
Mk3 dropped, PP bungled the release pretty hard but things are more or less back on track now. Playerbase seems to have fluctuated, it's up in some places and down in others, but that's about what you always see when a new edition drops.
Noah Lopez
cool, how do i find the most updated rules? Is it a mk3 faction deck?
Eli Jackson
The rules are all online now, physical cards have largely been done away with. You can either print them off for free from PP's website or use their app thing, whatever it's called.
I got an honest question, does anyone else remember PP saying at one point they fucked up and would never release a MAT5 gargantuan again? They DID say that right? I keep looking at the storm raptor and crying a little:(
Leo Gonzalez
Oh and obviously those are run in Dark Menagerie and Bump in the Night themes respectively. I have two more lists (just variations of each other) I'm designing specifically to take down my friend's Dark Host Cryx where he runs 2 Wraith Engines and lots of Banes.
Bump in the Night King of Nothing -Cage Rager -x2 Skin n Moans Death Knell x2 Witchwood Lord Longfellow Trapperkin x3 Dread Rots (min) Murder Crows Twilight Sisters
OR
Dark Menagerie King of Nothing x2 Cage Rager x2 Skin n Moans Death Knell Karianna Rose x3 Gremlin Swarm x3 Dread Rots (min) Twilight Sisters
Juan Peterson
thanks m8s.

Question regarding souls:
What happens when more than one unit that can harvest souls can gain the soul of a fallen enemy?
Parker Green
Me again. WTF is CID and how do i view their rules.
Jose Hill
They go to whichever harvester is closer, unless of course one of them has a special ability which lets them take them no matter what as long as they're in range.
Community Integrated Development, they have people play test games with models/units/whatever happens to be the pick of the cycle and collect data and rebalance things based off of that information. When the cycle is over and they've released the rules they'll usually put them on the cards themselves. I'm pretty sure they're released in War Room and in the free cards online at the same time.
Ethan Ward
CID is an open beta on future releases and errata. It's run on a super secret forum that you need to apply to view, and is carefully policed to keep from becoming the infamous shitshow the old PP forums were. The CID updates are often found either here, the discord, or on the various FB groups if you don't want to sign up for the CID forum.
No, it specifically says spells and animi. A feat is neither.
Jonathan Taylor
Nope. Not unless the feat specifically casts a spell(Baldur2, for example)

Cooper Jones
Grymkin are stronger, but that's it. Circle has issues, Legion is a mess and Minions are not a real Faction. Time will tell where Trolls end up. Madrak1 could turn out really damn stupid.
Skorne were great since the Turtle got buffed to crazy OP levels. But it should get nerfed back down soon, because I am almost done painting my second one.
Camden Reyes

>It's run on a super secret forum that you need to apply to view It's not really super secret, you just pay and get approved in a day or two. It's not like there's a test or anything preventing you from joining or sharing information from the forum
Jace White
Where's all the Dhunia/Devourer Wurm r34 art?
Kayden Brown
Nowhere sadly. For a setting with so many prominent female characters, warmahordes has like...no good porn. It's a crime.
Ian Jones
I want lewds of Elara furiously holding hands with faceless males

Issyria is seven feet tall and spends all day playing 4D chess with herself. I bet she'd be a vicious spooner when she lets herself feel tired.
Wait, do Iosan elves sleep like regular mortals in WarmaHordes?
Thomas Cooper
Dreams and prophecies are probably a bit different, but I'm pretty sure they sleep like normal.
Jason Sullivan
Despite finally settling on Metroid for ALL of my armored Ret models, I'm having a bitch of a time figuring out what scheme to use to make my Vyre stand out from the red-and-gold Shyeel myrms. Maybe a really simplified purple-and-green to emulate the Gravity Suit, because after my one attempt to copy the scheme directly was a wicked failure.
Robert Powell
I'll just draw attention to this once.
Jason Reyes
Need confirmation on something:
The Tough rule states that if the roll is successful, the model removes one damage point and it becomes knocked down.
If an ability says the model cannot have damage removed from it for one round, that means that even if they succeed the tough roll the model is still dead, correct?
For example, Lich Lord Terminus gives friendly undead faction models in his command range tough. If a Gremlin Swarm does a sabotage action against a Wraith Engine and then the engine dies, the tough roll doesn't matter because the one point of damage cannot be removed. Correct?
Hudson Hernandez
I don't know what sabotage does, but aside from that I can confirm your statement. Anything that prevents removing damage also prevents the results of a successful tough roll. Though theoretically the model would still become knocked down.
Owen Moore
What a shitty fucking OP. Where the fuck is the command pdf links!?!?!
Ryder Diaz
>Though theoretically the model would still become knocked down.
That's why I'm wondering, because Wraith Engines cannot be knocked down but they are still able to gain tough which is enormous bullshit IMO.
Since we're on the subject... Sabotage (*Action) - Target enemy warjack or battle engine B2B with this model suffers d3 + 3 damage points and cannot have damage removed from it for one round. When damaging a warjack, choose which column suffers the damage.
That combined with Annoyance, Apparition, Man Sized, Incorporeal, and Stealth makes Gremlin Swarms an annoying as fuck model that is too god not to take in your army despite how fucking ugly and stupid looking they are.
Seriously, I hate Gremlins and Imps in this faction. They do good things, but they are so stupid and ugly looking.
Oliver Baker
Most "can't heal" effects specify tough-denial as well (like Grievous Wounds), but the Terminus + WE interaction is just a really fringe case (since there are no tough Warjacks or Battle Engines otherwise).
Caleb Hall

Aiden Hill
Disabled > Boxed > Destroyed > Removed From Play
If you mark all of a model's boxes, it is disabled. Trigger disabled effects.
If, after resolving all disabled effects, a model is still disabled, it is boxed. Trigger all boxed effects.
If, after resolving all boxed effects, a model s still boxed, it is destroyed. Trigger all destroyed effects.
If, after resolving all destroyed effects, a model is still destroyed, it is removed from play. Resolve all effects that trigger on remove from play.
If, at any point, an effect causes a model to no longer be in it's current state, do not resolve any more effects for that state.
Finally, rules on models take precedence over rules from the book.
Jaxon Sullivan
Okay. On the Dreamer list, why two Gorehounds instead a Skin and Moans? Why add a Death Knell to a list without corpse collecting models and without any medium or high armor models? Without a Cage Rager, are you fine with either relying on the Phantasm or risking your warlock to cast Enfeeble?
Nathaniel Jenkins
>Wait, do Iosan elves sleep like regular mortals in WarmaHordes? Yup. I even remember a bit of official fiction where Nayl is dissecting some dead human after a fight and Garryth asks him what he's doing.
Nayl says something like: "Trying to see what the differences between human and elf anatomy." Garryth: "Oh, what did you find?" Nayl: "Not much. We seem to be largely the same."
The only real difference between human and elf biology is that elves live longer and are a bit more lithe. That's about it.
Christopher Taylor
...
Dominic Martinez
If Destroyed is normally followed by Remove From Play as you say, then why do explicit RFP abilities prevent "return one destroyed model" effects from working?
Jason Thompson
Having some confusion building a Ret list here. Can Lanyssa be taken in Defenders of Ios as a Nyss model without using the merc/minion solo slot? She's got Partisan [Ret] and the word Nyss in her name, so I don't see why WarRoom has her locked out of normal selection.
Cooper Gray
That and elves seem to be a bit taller. Or at least, get a shit tonne of hugedudes in models.
Austin James
I think it's pretty obvious he meant removed from the board rather than the actual RFP rule.
Jonathan Baker
I could understand that, but exact wording is important in a hard-rules game system.
Bentley Parker
And I will give you that. Well played, sir.
Michael Hughes
PP just has inconsistent sculpting. Madrak is supposed to be a troll manlet due to being an albino and Borka's supposed to tower over him but the models are same sized.
Jordan Parker

Sebastian Barnes
Thanks, user. I'm still somewhat new to the faction and at this point adding a Death Knell to any army I create has pretty much become a knee jerk reaction. How's this look?
If I drop Twilight Sisters, a Witchwood, and both units of Dread Rots I can stick in a Skin n Moans and have 6 points leftover. Go for the Gorehound then? Or just pay for the second Witchwood and take a Cask Imp to fill in that last point?
Austin Reyes

Warhammer-fag here, bailing on 40k because GW shat on their own setting one too many times with the latest edition.
Sell me on Warmachine.
(p.s. I like mechs/walkers and piracy/looting things like a good merc)
Isaiah Roberts
If there's one thing I can guarantee, it's that PP won't shit on their own setting > novels exist oh, fuck.
Jackson Fisher
>Sell me on Warmachine.
Uh, can't anymore with the new GW and the new PP. Maybe 2 years ago I could.
Kevin Gray
It's a much more solid game, but it's a much more strict game. Every bit of movement counts.
Owen Flores
It is exact wording. Funny thing, but RFP isn't a game term. It's the game telling you to get your minis off the table. RFP effects prevent returning destroyed models because all the RFP stuff skips the Destroyed step. Snacking, Take Down, and Explosivo remove the model from play while it is Boxed. It never gets to Destroyed.
The Hyperion's sparkburst cannon has Critical Consume. It removes models from play on hit. That gets to bypass tough checks, reviving models, Inhuman Resolve, and pretty much every defensive rule in the game.
Evan Kelly
It looks fine. Run it a half dozen times and find where it succeeds and where it fails.
From the looks of it, you'll still be light on armor cracking, so I wouldn't expect it to do well into beast or jack heavy lists. Run it as is for a bit, then if you feel you need bigger damage numbers, look towards skin and moans or neigh slayers.
