As much as I dislike MtG nowadays, they did one thing right: the player psychographics.

Spike: Likes to win, will use most effective stuff to do so
Johnny: Likes to use combos/underutilized cards(units)
Timmy: Likes big things or to win in a big way

I think that 40k has been so polarized that anything other than taking a Timmy style list results in you being worse than Stalin. We need to bring things back to reality a bit
