First for Nagash and Death. Will Death ever be getting a fucking release.

Next year oh fair user.

What's so hard about creating a new design for elves that fit AoS? I'd double down on the Atlantean, Greek and realm of light influences for the High Elf replacements.

Isn't it only 1 model? I fucking hate all this samescum borecast

So, I've been thinking about setting my personal goal with the Ironjawz to have enough models to make a Brawl

And, if my calculations are not wrong, for fitting the bare minimum requests, I'll need all this:

>1 Megaboss on Mawcrusha (the latter optional but awesome to have)
>1 Warchanter
>1 Weirdnob

I'd like to have 1 battalion of each, so that would sum up to

>25 Brutes
>50 'Ardboys
>15 Gore-gruntas

Luckily Ironjawz's bundles and boxes are a pretty good deal and doing this would not be that hard

>want to play faction
>only has 5 models
>want to play other faction
>only had 3 models
Why is GW so retarded?

How many points are that?

I've looked it in 1d4chan, would add to 3440pt

I'd pretty much never be able to play it, but i thought it would make for a really cool collection and eshibition

Exhibition*

Yes. They teased the event, but they showed one model, therefore it's all that will be released.

Christ, even reddit is less retarded than this general now.

Does any one know any good AOS podcasters that are actually critical. Most are just GW cucks aka GW never do anything wrong. I listened to these shit cunts they are the worst literally hanging shit on the community for saying bad things about the new GH 2018.

They didn't tease any army. Literally said we haven't forgotten death we will be releasing this one model along with one model for all the factions.

Well, then, good luck.

If I had battalions and those detachment-thingy I would probably do the same.

It's literally a one guy. Look at the posts number and posters number. It's just a slavfag - his ban has ended so he is shitposting again

Aus fag shitposter shitcunt

oh great. fucking czechs.

time to get out of these threads for a while again. bye chaps. good luck on your paint schemes, army lists, and fluff.

I'd really like if in the future they release a Kharadron warband for Shadespire

Really think they can fit well and have enough variety, for example:

They would be 4, as the ironjawz, making them also an elite warband

>The Grundstok Thunderer: powerful ranged attack but extremely shitty at close quarters

>The Arkanaut Company: weak ranged attack and decent melee one

>The Endrinrigger: no ranged attack, fast, powerful melee fighter

>The captain a stronger Arkanaut Company with a decent ranged attack and good close fighter (not as good as the endrinrigger though)

What do you think?

Yeah they split them up too much, its retarded (unless they genuinely plan to then expand each of the little factions).

Most are GW quislings that brown-nose in order to get pre-release products to review and fap over whilst sounding important/chosen.

I find Facehammer the best of the bunch. Bit more free-speech friendly.

I think today's thread OP pic was chosen to trigger us.

>his ban has ended
I was banned?

Shit

For a moment there I read "It was banned?" and really made me laugh

You are meant to play each grand alliance as a faction, not literally try to make each allegiance into it's own thing. Historical gamers have no trouble with the concept, but they didn't expect fantasy gamers to be that autistic i guess.

Then why do some 'chosen' factions like stormcast have like 20 models to choose from? Surely by this logic stormcast should be split into 5 factions like the others.
I guess they are so dull and samey that its just not possible to differentiate between them.

>not literally try to make each allegiance into it's own thing.
>yes goyim, only chosen people should have OP allegiances

Because for some factons, like Seraphon or SC, it makes sense. For others, like the free people of azyr, which are all refugees from other cultures, it does not make much sense.

>For others, like the free people of azyr, which are all refugees from other cultures,
Except they lived few centuries in high-tech azyr utopia together.

Grand alliances are stupid. Why should I feel like I'm being punished for wanting to play a faction?

So I was thinking about this for a while since yesterday and made up some ideas how to make genestealers more "ghoulish"
>Heavily death-themed bases
a lot of skulls, broken tombstones and maybe some rotten limbs to look both like zombies and tyranid attack victims remains
>Scheme
I will paint their skin with a deathguard green for the unhealthy effect and use some rot on them. Not really sure what should I do with their foreheads desu
>Accessories
Oh boi. I'm not gonna glue any bone weapons in their hands. I was thinking about putting some skulls on their spines like hats

>Want to play with an ally-tier faction
>Hurr where are my models
You have brought this on yourself.
If you want to play competitive then pick an army you don't like but is good rule-wise and have a lot of models. If you want to play with your dudes for a fun then I see no problem here

t. No-Mourngul mono-Nighthaunt player

>t.cuck

A Endrinrigger seems like a odd choice for a cramped environment like that. Plus the warbands shown so far all seem to draw from a single unit choice (Liberators, Bloodreavers, 'ard Boys, maybe Grave Guard), so we should probably assume the same for all future warbands.
I'd probably go for a comination like this:
- Arkanaut with two sabres; kinda meh from the get-go but solid once he Inspires
- Arkanaut with skypike; strong melee with reach
- Arkanaut Captain with volley pistol and sabre
- Arkanaut with two pistols
- Arkanaut with volley gun; shit in melee but solid ranged performance
That said, I have no idea how ranged weapons like pistols and such will even perform in this game. We've seen nothing on them yet. Best wait for the Vanguard-Hunters and look at their crossbows.

Why can't seraphon be split into lizards and dinosaurs? Thats no crazier than Death being split into ghouls, skeletons, vampires that all serve the same boss.

How do battalions work? Like in pitched battle if i field units in a battalion do i still need to pay attention to the scaling foc or is it like formations in 7th where they are all their own focs

>no one really plays Destruction here
>go through all the destruction shit in app
>piles of shit
No wonder no one plays it

>Plus the warbands shown so far all seem to draw from a single unit choice (Liberators, Bloodreavers, 'ard Boys, maybe Grave Guard)

Fuck true, I got too carried out and totally forgot about that

And about the warband itself, what you said sounds pretty solid, yeah

I do hope for, if not kharadron, more unannounced Warbands to come, if the game itself sells as expected, of course.

Dwarves with flying machines are the worst possible faction for dungeon crawling.

But yes GW will still shove them into Shadespire to try and sell models.

Skaven, goblins, skeletons should be the main ones imho, with mixed heroes bashing through like in Vermintide imho

Like for Death, its overly fragmented into factions. GW seem to have capitulated though, and are starting to incentivize mixing them together, e.g. Gutstomper allegiance of all greenskins.

>no one really plays destruction here
At least 1/5 of people willing to vote is playing destruction.
strawpoll.me/14082952/r

But if you just play DESTRUCTION it doesn't even matter.
Orcs, gobbos, trolls, giants, all viable.

It does matter when the grand alliance abilities are garbage relative to the more specific factions.

>release battletome for Bonesplitterz
>no Start Collecting box
>have a Start Collecting box for Greenskinz but no battletome

Destruction doesn't make any sense at all to me, it seems like it's stuck somewhere between having very distinct factions like Order and being viable as a true Grand Alliance.

GW released a SC box for nakeslayers 2 years after their battletome release.
Also Greenskinz SC was just an attempt to keep old O&G players in AoS with cheap models - nothing more

GW simply haven't thought about destruction other than ironjaws. Yet.
Sure they can do grand alliance but unlike Order there is zero synergy between races so no benefit from it. The rogue idol is the exception but still bad value at 400 points.

Same reason why you should not try to play Free French in a WW2 game as stand-alone force. Cause that's not the point.

It's entirely possible in Bolt Action , complete with looted tanks.

You only have one FoC, thr pitched battle one, the only thing you need for battalions is the required models in your FoC.

Your analogy is pisspoor considering Stormcast can have their own super-strong army with need for mixed coalition. By this logic then Stormcast should be used only as allies in a grand alliance.

Babydwarf sales so poorly that GW have to make a SC for them and squatted the 115$ Lava Lizard box. Even then, it still failed to get to the bestseller list on the webstore.

You know that bestseller list is not showing best selling stuff? It shows boxes GW want to sell asap

I have a question about the rules.

When piling in I move the closest model by 3" to the side, so that the second closest can move in by 3", and I can have both models engaged.
Am I forcing the rules?

Also, when an entire line of models is engaged in combat, I have models behind who can't reach.
In the pile in phase, I don't move them "towards the closest enemy model", but rather to the side, so they can encircle the enemy unit, or at least reach a model to the side and fight.
Am I forcing the rules?

Sometimes "moving towards the closest enemy model" isn't possible/doesn't do shit (the spot is already taken by another allied model, in range, fighting), I have to move towards other models of the unit, in order to be in range. Can I do it?

I still don't understand them, Slayers were just an elite specialised unit for dorfs and then they get their own army.

maybe they thought it would be kind of like Ironjawz being an army of Black Orcs.

Should i get Blightwar or Anvilgard?

What are you working on /aosg/?

Ironjawz are one of the strongest factions.

Gore Gruntaz, thought to be a terrible unit, are now fucking amazing value.

Blightwar

So; Ironbark Wargrove allows TWO Duardin units and keep the Sylvaneth Allegiance.

I want to add some Fyreslayers and paint them up all Celtic like, What units would be best?

...Or Flesh Eater Courts being an army of Ghouls.
...Or Scourge Privateers being an army of Corsairs.
...Or Spiderfang Grots being an army of Spider Riders.
...Or Beastclaw Raiders being an army of Rhinox Riders.
...Or every single other army.

For Death almost every unit is an entire faction, from Skeletons, to Spirit Hosts, to Vampires.

I mean it's quite obvious the factions are more flavor, with a few Allegiance rules over the top to reward the flavor.

Honestly, my group just doubles up the allies point allowance.

I think you're right with the 'like black orcs' thing. Roughly said, thereare two ways to make a faction: you take a race and theme and then decided what units would be cool for it (sylvaneth or steampunk dwarves). Or you take a proven cool unit (mostly the elite ones) like slayers and make a faction out of them (black orcs and wild orcs, ghouls). GW did the same with stormtroopers (scions) in 40k.

warhammer-community.com/2017/10/13/the-warbands-of-shadespire-ironskulls-boyzgw-homepage-post-2/

> Ironjawz stronk
I don't know man. I play Ironjawz... and we are so slow now. And it's basically a 160 tax to run an Ironfist, which can still fuck you. And with Mighty Destroyers being so hit and miss (mostly miss) all your characters besides the Mawcrusha get so outraged by the units... mine tend to get shot to death... at which point they can't buff.

I wouldn't say every single other army, not even close, and only two of the ones you listed have their own battletomes

It seems to me like the majority of players would rather play a distilled faction rather than a broad alliance, like obviously Stormcast, Seraphon, Ironjawz etc. and that releasing a battletome for these armies is something of an indicator that they're supposed to be a viable army in and of themselves. So it is pretty annoying to see an army like Fyreslayers who seem tailor made to be used in an alliance, but are presented as if they're their own thing.

Is there anything we don't know about shadespire yet? It feels like gw teased everything about this game already

>Shadespire-WarbandsIronja(...).jpg
>GW can screw up even most perfect armor

Come on now they look good. The boss especially.

I'm really hoping they make a Dispossessed one.

The Kharadron Overlords are profiteers mind you. It would fit perfectly fine for a band of Arkanauts to explore some ruins, looking for profit.
You could paint them red and call them an away team.

>rather play a distilled faction rather than a broad alliance
This here. I mean, is there any point in splitting up Skaven into 6 different factions, with 4 out of 6 having less than/only 5 models?
Or squatting Ogres down to only 2 different models (Mournfang and the Stonehorn/Thundertusk multibox) and three failcasts.
Not to mention the many order forces that are no more than two or three models.
"Grand Alliances" sounds nice and all, but why split all the factions up this much?

> In before booster packs are announced

Shadespire is not a dungeon

Do fyreslayer units work with the Ironbark Wargrove?

Honestly, I'm not feeling confident that they will be making any new units that are not just characters.

You act like you don't know that GW is not a charity organisation and they are producing models for fuckin money. Really, just think about this. Why letting you use your old shit if they want you to buy new models?

Let's say you are a post-whfb ogre player. You have models from 3 factions now - BCR, Gutbusters and meneaters or whatever they are called now. GW knows that you will not buy a lot of new models if you stick to your old shit so they make you buy more models from a single faction you already have (let's say you decide to focus on BCR and you buy the Icewind Assault box) or drop your old stuff and buy a brand new army. You can't say that GW squatted your old stuff - you still have rules tho.

That's it - the transition period. In 2-3 years all post-whfb factions will be nothing more but allies-factions like spiderfangs or allies-factions with allegiance abilities like wanderers or Nighthaunt if you want to play special snowflake army. Nothing to be mad imo as long as GW is releasing new stuff

Dont forget Firebellies.

Do they have the Duardin keyword?
Yes they do, so they work.

Anything with the "Duardin" keyword works, so that includes the Dispossessed, Fyreslayers, Kharadron Overlords (including airships), Dwarf units of the Ironweld Arsenal, and even compendium units.

The Ironbark Wargrove can ironically take Dwarf Flamecannons without breaking the Sylvaneth Allegiance.

>Dispossessed one.
Nope

I'm kinda miffed that the Abyssal Terror don't have the Soulblight keyword.

>dungeon crawling.
its not dungeon crawling bro. but the KO have more reason than anyone to be there because its practically treasure hunting

Finally got them done. It's going to be a bit before I paint them. Got some other projects on my plate first.

A closer shot of some of the conversion work put into them.

Cool conversions ! Where are those heads from ?

I like the banner a lot. I might do something similar with my greatswords

I like the cloaks/capes and the guns, not so fond of the scale armour, its too typically aelvish imo

Thanks man. They're from mad robot miniatures.

I was originally going to go with the banner that comes in the black ark corsairs kit, replacing the top ornament of course.

But then I am going to make a freeguild general with banner to go with these guys, and I wanted to use that banner for him because it's bigger. The current banner on these guys is from one of the dark eldar kits, the venom i think.

Fair enough. But I am going to paint it more like padded leather. These guys have only a 6+ save afterall.

I love the models overall, but the plated arms is the only thing I've got a problem with (considering you're painting the scale armor as leather)

It's only a minor complaint anyway. Can't wait to see them painted!

Yeah I get that. Again I am going with leather. So it will look more like plated leather than shiny metal.

These guys are Tempest's Eye Rangers. Scouts that explore the outskirts of the city, keeping a watch on potential threats.

Bump for any ideas or tips

Yeah I figured you'd do something like that. Looking forward to see them painted!

Soon

Do Metroid

Wait, I saw this on /40kg/ recently. What kind of new meme is this?

Non Games Workshop player here. I literally cannot distinguish between 40k and non-40k models anymore. Honestly, unless it has a bolter, I have no clue which model line it belongs in now.

Age of Sigmar seems like such poo.

>Non Games Workshop player here
Sure thing buddy. What a surprise that even with your post the number of posters in this thread didn't change. Here is your (you) - have fn with it

Report and ignore.

So, talked to a GW guy about Shadespire today and he told me that all warbands would get a single warscroll each for regular AoS based on their 'parent' unit. The SCE warband for example would be a battleline unit of three Liberators with one grandblade, one grandhammer and one warhammer/shield and no special rules or stats beyond what Liberators regularly get.
Take with a lot of salt, but I thought it'd be kinda neat to handle them this way. I certainly don't yet more heroes in my army.

How would Slavposter react if a Jew beat him and kidnapped him?

Maybe you could have actual content in your bump posts instead of forcing memes?

>Those storm forged titties
