That's a neat idea for a spooky CYOA. You mess with the page and version numbering and stuff, referring to options and restrictions that don't exist, all hinting at some horrible event that resulted in the editing/censoring of the CYOA. Like it starts out with just a genetic friendly mage waifu thing but by the end reality is starting to unravel, until the very end where it's back to fluffy mage waifus but something is very wrong. Maybe a coded message begging you to open the box before it is too late (or maybe to just not lose it) but of course there is no box.

Well this is...something. Enjoyable, but rather mindfucky until I wrapped my head around what was going on. That said, here's a build!

Is there any reason why most cyoas are below 7k px tall? I can keep the page like 1300x9500 instead of splitting it in two and I'm wondering if there is anything wrong with that. I know reposting multi-page cyoas is pain in the ass so I don't want to have too many pages.

10k is the hard limit on dimensions set by Veeky Forums. Limiting the width to 1200-1900 pixels is for the comfort of readers.

When doing one of these that basically rewrites a portion of your life (for example "The University" where you relive college but as a mage), do you guys assume some skills you already have in real life (like charisma or agility) or assume you have absolutely nothing to shiw for?

Filesize issues are part of it, there's also the fact that people tend to want to make each page distinct and not split a section across multiple pages if they don't have to. You could just make your cyoa 1300 or whatever width, and then make it as long as you want, but know that if you add too much stuff you could still end up past what I think is an 8mb limit here on Veeky Forums.

Ye I know 10k is the upper limit, but I'm asking if there is anything wrong with getting close to that limit. Do people find 2x 1200x4500 more aesthetic than 1200x9000 ?

I discovered I can greatly lower the size when exporting to jpg format, so I kind of stopped caring about that limit.

Defeatist-kun would assume anything you aren't giving is something you don't have and can never attain.
Normal people assume they're themselves and have whatever strengths and weaknesses and knowledge they have now.

When it comes to supernatural abilities that's the way to go. If it's not something you could attain in real life without the CYOA's help, then it's not something you can attain without buying it in the CYOA or following whatever path the CYOA sets to give it to you. That's just common sense to me. Doesn't seem to be what he's asking though.

Basically, tank girls don't grow in size beyond medium, unless you take one of exceptions. Instead, their heavy+ weapons are place on a separate chassis. It doesn't mean anything until DLC's turn based combat.

Scout, Light and Mediums have a cost. Can't believe I forgot to put it in. Have a fixed version.

Also, a light turret that has only scouts counts as a scout. If it has a light and scouts, its a light.

So what do I need to know about making good waifus?

The Fantasy Nation CYOA will have several and I'd love to see good examples and what people want in them, since people seemed to have gripes with the waifus I made before.

NOT-realistic
use garbage archetypes like tsundere BUT don't call them tsundere, retards only get mad at those if literally describe the waifus as such
do not say anything about what the waifu expects from the player
do not say anything about the waifu's past romantic life
couple the waifus with FREE superpowers
hang yourself after realizing you're pandering to lowest common denominator

Either way, it's a good piece of work. The only thing that bothers me is that only me and characters I choose will survive total humanity end. That's.. kinda heavy premonition. Some mention of other pockets of humanity player likely will never meet and government installations that will likely stay closed for as long as the zombies are around would be better.
And a few more characters and points so even in case of worst case scenario one knows there's more than max a handful od people left, ones that'll likely die off due to low numbers.

Thanks to the Anons who contribute some Laws and doctrines from before, I've added them but I won't start doing the page, since I'm still lacking a good portion. So far there's seven categories which are:

>Human Development Doctrines
>Economic Doctrines
>Government Doctrines
>Art and Culture Doctrines
>Industry Doctrines
>Military Doctrines
>Foreign Relations

I'm also re-doing Page 2 as suggested by an user, I generally agree that there should be more nuance in choices, the trooplists are pretty much set in stone with images and descriptions, but hasn't been balanced yet.

The idea that I had is that you will start with a few points, but that will grow every month/year depending on which doctrine and edict You've chosen, as well as having challenges or competition.

So far I'm starting to work on the Challenges page, images are not final and are merely placeholders, apart from that I've also thought of:
-America going batshit crazy, wanting to control every country instead of mediating their feuds and stuff.
-Rival Empires (the other three) being also present and have the same line of choices and trooplist.
-Religious/holy war by a group of your choosing.

I'm still thinking of more so I can have an outline, maybe you guys have any suggestions?

Why would that even matter?

Make them have different positives, and try to either leave out negatives or word it so it weeks like they're more quirks than straight up detriments. The choice between waifus should be a choice between lifestyles or positive qualities anons want to see, not a checklist of whose negative trait you feel you could live with the most.
