Since Sigmar Heldenhammer worshipped Ulric as a god, does this make Ulric the more powerfull god of the two? If the ascended Sigmar is still a worshipper of Ulric, wouldn't that mean that he's merely funneling the power he receives directly to Ulric? Or is Sigmar since his apotheosis a worshipper of himself? How does the Immaterium work in this regard?

Sigmar was a mortal man who had his own pantheon to worship while he was alive.

The real Sigmar dies and the people who followed him deify him and a god is born from the belief: a facsimile of what the believers thought he was like.

The gods aren't people, they are made by the belief of their followers. This is why Nagash never took the mantle of the god of death after eating Morr, it limits his potential and makes him dependent on the beliefs and ideas of mortals.

Ironically this means Sigmar probably killed Ulric (the god he venerated) by siphoning his worshipers.

How so? Lots of people worship Ulric still.

"Lots of people"
Basically just the backward shits in Middenheim, including Boring Turdbringer.

>This is why Nagash never took the mantle of the god of death after eating Morr, it limits his potential and makes him dependent on the beliefs and ideas of mortals.

You gotta love Nagash, he ALWAYS hated the idea of gods.

Explain how Sigmar survived and retained his power, if all of his followers died along with the Old World?

Middenlanders are sorta-kinda people.

He couldn't handle a couple rats. What a pussy.

Shut up Arkhan

Plot twist: At the start, long time ago; Ulric was a mortal. Just like Sigmar was.

The End Times

Worship of Ulric is 2nd most popular in the Empire

>It's Sigmars all the way down

>twist

it's not really a twist when thats more or less blatantly the case

...

>Stirland
>People

>Worship of Ulric
No, Verena is second in the Empire. Only in the backward northern provinces does Ulric even have followers.

Ulric is the emperor and Sigmar is a lost primarch

They fought off the undead hordes while Toddbringer couldn't even finish off a single stupid Beastman.

>backwards northern provinces

you mean Half the Empire?

The half with 10% of the population.

>sewer mutants and slums
great population you got there

>Verena
>second in the empire

Middenland, Nordland, Ostland, Talabecland all have a majority of Ulric worshippers over Sigmar. Middenland and Talabecland make up almost 2/3 of the empire by themself for land and inhabitants.

But this reasoning is stupid because you idiots seem to think that one can worship only one god at the time while almost all the empire inhabitants worship all the empire gods equally. The only one who dismiss Ulric are the witch hunters and the priests of Sigmar and vice-versa

This desu, the Empire is polythiestic, all of the cults compete politically and socially. Sigmar is just the most powerful for obvious reasons

Don't mind me, just being the low-key best cult in the Old World.

Too real

Ulric and Sigmar's cults have back and forth'd each other politically into a shambles, so now Ulric's boys are wifeless luddites and Sigmars boys are Greedy political animals.

Morr's cult didnt have a horse in the race, so gets by unscathed, able through a lack of conflict to build purity of faith. Same for Myrmidians.

Mind you, these are just the cults not the Gods themselves. 420 praise them fools!

nah You see Sigmar wasn't a giant retarded mutant so he can't be a primarch.
