Necromunda

necromunda.com/

Site us up, looks like a lot of meat to this. Templates, different kinds of dice and different rules for normal terrain compared to tunnel fighting in the box set. Going to be interesting to see how this comes together.

We finalky have a date.
Preorders nov 11, so 18th release presumably.

>not posting a biat SJW or /pol/ thread
C'mon OP, it's like you don't want replies.

I'm waiting for the campaign rules and the missions until making a judgement.
Not really a fan of special dice, too.

Can someone identify the strange weapons worn by the champions? The Escher seems to have a wierd flamethrower, and idk what the Goliath has.

>House Goliath furnace-tenders are often bigger than a Space Marine and some regard them as a classifiable strain of Abhuman.

GW plz

The goliaths leeader looks like he has this gun.

Which appears to be a combi plasma stub pistol.

I thought they were gene-bulked. Like super steroid muscle fibers made in vats grafted on or something. Nor abhuman...

>religiously persuing gainz until they're so swole they're not even people anymore.

Nah, that's gold

>3D terrain rules are in a separate, day-one DLC rulebook

Aha, fucking told you.

I've been bitched at and called a "GW hater" for claiming this.

D terrain rules are in a separate, day-one DLC rulebook

And I will pirate that rulebook, thank you very much.

I can't believe they really brought DLC to real life.

Its not so much dlc as havving the beginner boardgame be its own thing. Then if you want the full experience you can still have it.

>box set for new Specialist game doesn't contain the actual rulebook

"nuGW" are soo much better now guise

I think thats the point, theyre genemoded and eugenics-ed to a point so ridiculous people think they've strayed to far from human.

You are whats wrong with the future.

In the old lore they were just the ones living closer to the underhive, so the weak were eaten by plague zombies, mutant rats or whatever.

It's a bit wierd to have giant Goliath because they man foundries, while the miners in house Orlock are scrawny.

>Combi stub-plasma
That's fucking retarded. The equivalent by today standards would be an underbarrel wheelock pistol

Can't you just buy that book and not the boardgame?

Not at all, they've split the rules in half, to get you to buy the core rules in the box set, then buy another book to actually play a game similar to the Necromunda you love.

Good goyim.

>people likeing that they only have to pay for the options they want instead of being forced to buy the full package they'll potentially only use part of is whats wrong with the future.

Ahuh, sure buddy if you say so.

>Pre-orders and DLC are a good thing!

kys

GW please what?
If they're classifiable as abhumans, being bigger than space marines is not strange in the least. Ogryns exist too, y'know.

>Orlock miners
Didn't they just make/sell guns & ammo?

I'm definitely interested in the Escher girls (though I hate their hairdo), but for the Goliath I'd much rather paint up some ork boys to proxy.

>A car comes with four wheels normally
>this car needs four, but only comes with two in the box and you have to pay more for the rest
>"hurr guise we get the choice at least"

You must be denser than a black hole to only want to play 2D Necromunda.

No, It's a "supplement", I was fuming at the time I found out.

It wasn't always this way. It used to be they were just buff humans because they had the shittiest place to live in the underhive.

This is a retcon as an excuse for the scale creep GW loves so much.

Space Marines are supposed to be the end-all be-all. An average human just slappin on some extra muscle and suddenly being stronger than a SM is retarded.

I actually hope this is a troll. Otherwise can I have your bank details because you're a real sucker.

The point of Astartes is that they are big AND quick, therefore S,T and I 4. Humans can get as strong/tough as Astartes, but won't be as fast (unless modified on level of Imperial Assassins/chaos powered).

This is just a retcon so GW can make them into Gears of War models with nice clean weapons and armour.

I get the feeling with the overuse of Sector Mechanicus sets they're going to make Necromunda bland as fuck.

Seriously.

Guys I am so sick of seeing the same shit in your pictures over and over.

Remember when GW would show you how to make terrain out of common household items, and everything was so unique and fresh?

>they make their only black member wear a full face mask so they dont have to look at him
That's racist.

...

No. Most houses are self-sufficient and have industries in every domain, but Orlock main source of revenue is its ore deposits.

Astartes tend to recruit from the strongest and toughest pool, tho.
A lot of Imperial Fists were probably Goliath before being recruited. So unless they shrinked during the process, having regular humans be bigger is quite stupid.

Thats a very poor analogue and you know.

There are going to be people who only want to play the boardgame version, there's nothing wrong with leaving the extra full wargame outside the boardgame.

But user, why bother with creativity when you can buy a Sector Mechanicus™ Galvanic Magnavent® for your Realm of Battle® board, for only £45/$75/€60?

Wait, the fucking campaign rules are in the dlc as well?

It is when both are priced like complete books. And knowing GW commercial practices, they will.

>necromorcen or adnumunda
hmm, though choice.

I think thats literally the point.
They're both heavily modified and not really human anymore. Which is why they can be bigger than marines.

Being bigger than a space marine does not mean they're stronger.

Is there any word on whether we'll see other gangs? I'm assuming the house games will make an appearance.
I want my scavvies.

>Having bigger muscles doesn't mean your stronger

>gotta get those swole gains so much they turn into abhumans
kek

GW need to rehire Nigel Stillman. Pic related / old WD did so much to advance the hobby.

Not necessarily no, especially when different types of modifications are involved.

You're a sheep mate.

They put the full size rulebook in the original box set, as did every Specialist Game that got one, and they were £40 for everything, admittedly a few years ago.

To not be able to play the actual game of Necromunda out of a box that is going to cost considerably more isn't "choice", it's being ripped off.

Even Blood Bowl 2016 had the full rules in it (copy pasted from the free community rulebook, errors and all, but that's another story), though they did split the team rules up into supplements. Which is a bit cheeky but at least you could play the game properly.

I know right. Even then, hopefully they're more inspired by the original games' and not Shadow War: Armageddon's.

>Gears of War models

The other house gangs have been mentioned in fluff bits.
They've said we're getting more gangs and hired guns in supplements, but haven't specified which exactly.

>that cute masked escher girl artwork on the store under the shop section
help

On the site it says legacy models and gangs will have rules to download at the least.

GOTTA LEAVE HUMANITY BEHIND TWO SCOOPS CMON

those pooled ink tide marks on the edge of the platform

Go ahead, arm-wrestle a chimp.

...

So instead all cars should come with rail lights, winch and hydraulics.

Andromunda, all men all the time!

My dad bought me this when I first got into the hobby in my early teens. We actually made some of those rocky terrain pieces out of foam with a hot wire cutter he built from scratch. Good times.

Space Marines don't take aspirants from the weakest human tribes, user. If the goliaths are the biggest and the meanest on the park, the Astartes are gonna make marines of them.

I didn't expect that kind of art, it is very cool.
Wnat me to post them? I know it can be tricky to extract the pics sometimes.

So looking forward to the rules reference sheet it does seem a lot of old mechanics in a general sort of way are still. With some changes like using 8es wounding table. Failed ammo checks no longer renser then gun useless for the rest of the game. Templates are still in.

I love all these little drawings.
The farseer is super cute too.

...

Unless the Goliaths are so rouded and auged out that Marine mods fail or outright kill them from the strain.

We allready now have lifters dropping left and right from strokes and heart attack.

...

...

If you ask nicely Im sure GW will duckt-tape the two boxes together for you at no extra charge.

Escher Chan is cute, CUTE!

>rules for legacy models
"You may re-roll to hit if you whisper to your Delaque gangers in the shooting phase. If they whisper back, you may also re-roll to wound"

Don't talk about those dark times

I wonder if they'll put a GSC rumor spin on the shady bald bastards.

Realistically.

If the they don't just outright do a new GSC gang I half expect this.

>farseer
where?

If it wasn't congenital they wouldn't call it an abhuman strain.

Yeah, I was thinking earlier, I can't see what nuGW will do with Delaque, Van Saar and particularly Orlocks to make them "modern awesome bro" like these new Goliath models.

It doesn't say they are classified as abhumans, it says "some consider them".

"Some consider" people screaming at video games to be entertaining.

name one videogame

I dunno where it went.
There were a bunch of drawings with some characters sitting in a store and playing games painting their own miniatures.

Well van-saar will be techy cyberpunk with biosuits ect.

Orlock yeah, Goliath already has the industrial dudes in melee angle covered.

Crash Bandicoot.

>techy cyberpunk with biosuits
40k needs this. only assassins have nice tight suits

I imagine they might play up the biker gang styling for Orlock.

But Goliath already do baldy-muscle-vests

They could do orlocks as more gunslinger duelists compared to goliaths "kronk smash" thing.
Maybe as manufacturers they could have basic but reliable weapons thing going on compared to goliaths weaponised tools. Like they only have autoguns but they're newly made well built autoguns.

not any more

Cawdor become ISIS looking.

you're just a fucking idiot hth

I think the Goliath champs got some sort of nailgun going by this art.

what does "ISIS" look like?

>You must be denser than a black hole to only want to play 2D Necromunda.

STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE

In practical terms, balaclavas instead of hoods.

>To not be able to play the actual game of Necromunda out of a box that is going to cost considerably more isn't "choice", it's being ripped off.

well it sure is a good thing that they're selling the boxed set as a boxed game (the "actual game of necromunda") and the rulebook for people that want something different isn't it

>What are kroot?

WOAH

too militaristic

Yeah, I don't like that they're offering a product which is pretty poor considering previous versions of Necromunda.

>this boardgame on laminated cardboard is the new game, the actual 3D skirmish game of Necromunda is now "something different", honestly they're not just trying to get you to buy two things instead of one!

Do you have gullible written across your forehead? It's so obvious what the plan is and yet you bring yourself to defend it.

I could see that

Oh my god, what happened to her head?? It's between her shoulderblades, and reversed.

she's been shot in the back

They have to be genetically stable/pure tho and size on the verge of being rated as abhuman may not be something desirable. Ofc many chapters recruit from hive gangs.

I'm the exact opposite. I'm buying Goliath boys to use as digganobz.

>huge guy nails two chicks

CAWDOR WHEN

it would have to only be juves though right? Any later and they'd be too old.

DI..DIGG...DIGGANAWBS!!!!

>The rules included with the Necromunda: Underhive boxed game cover battles set in the claustrophobic tunnels beneath the hives – but gangs also clash above ground, amid sprawling machinery that fills vast domes from ground to ceiling. Necromunda: Gang War is a set of rules that allow the players to use 3D terrain in their games, bringing a literal new dimension to their battles – and also an incredibly detailed campaign system, in which 2-6 (or more!) players develop their gangs, fight for territory and dominate the other Houses.

>The first step in founding a gang is deciding which House the gang is drawn from. The rules in the box cover House Goliath and House Escher, and future supplements will cover the fighters and equipment for other gangs (as well as hired guns and other additions to a gang).
