Mtg community wholesome thread

Hey Veeky Forums, I've been a long-time lurker here, and I've decided to post this as a bit of an appreciation for what the Mtg community had done for my life in general. This is my story of Grand Prix Orlando last year, of course with my usual Pokemon spin on things.
If you don't want to read the whole thing, as it's a bit long, there's a tl;dr at the end
>Be me
>Be 18
>I played Magic all the time at my lgs
>Never really played competitively before, but we still had that completive atmosphere
>Our group of players were pretty close knit
>It consisted of me, my brother Nidoking and 5 other guys, Weedle, Magikarp, Scyther, Pinsir, and Squirtle
>Weedle was a math teacher at a local high school
>He seemed to have the best luck whenever it came to Mtg
>He would keep no land hands and somehow still make all his land drops
>He was getting mana flooded one night, so he took out lands
>He still flooded out with only 9 lands in his deck
>Magikarp was also a teacher and a good friend of Weedle's
>Magikarp.... was not the brightest
>He was fairly new to Mtg and always would ask the worst questions
>It used to be a saying that if you thought a card worked like Magikarp would, it didn't
>Bit of a braggart, but he was tolerable
>Scyther was the silent type, but once he really opened up to you, he made the funniest jokes
>Always seemed to be very serious about magic
>Very focused on the game
>He wouldn't really talk to you unless he knew you
>But when he did talk

>Oh when he did talk
>Shit went down
>Usually it involved a lot of screaming, "come at me bro!"s, and flailing arms
>Pinsir was a bit of a jock
>Casual dude
>Was from Miami
>Actually went to high school with my sister
>Did drama with her
>Seemed like the last kind of guy to enjoy Mtg
>But he was super nice
>Talked about his girlfriend a lot
>Only time pinsir wouldn't go to fnm was when his girlfriend wouldn't let him
>Eventually they broke up, so he was a regular at fnm
>Squirtle was a bro in every sense of the word
>He looked like the kind of guy who would autistically talk about anime
>But he was always so accepting of new players and new people
>Very good at teaching new players how to play
>A very jolly dude
>Always willing to have a conversation
>Nidoking was like any younger brother
>Annoying
>Obnoxious
>Always thought he was better than me
>Then again everyone thinks that about their brother
>But truth be told I liked him
>I would never say it to his face
>He was fun to be around
>We'd always joke about magic and cards
>Make random memes about things
>Talk about band shit
>And finally there was me

>Nidoran
>I'm a pretty awkward dude
>I tend to keep to myself
>I get loud when I get excited
>But I'm typically pretty quiet
>And that was our Lgs
>Most of the times it was just us regulars and maybe a couple of randoms
>Since our shop was pretty small, we usually had promos left over
>The storeowner would hand those extra ones pretty regularly
>He was also a pretty chill dude
>Anyways
>So we all decided we wanted to go to GP Orlando, since it was the only limited GP in the near vicinity
>The other guys had gone to plenty GPs before
>But this was Nidoking and I's first
>After begging our parents to go, we finally had the chance
>The guys at the store wanted to take us
>My parents were still hesitant about driving and staying with them though
>So we made a bit of a compromise
>My parents would come with us
>ohno.jpg
>Fortunately, they would not be going with us to the actual event
>They would go to Disney
>crisisaverted.jpg
>So we would ride down with my parents
>Go to the Grand Prix
>Stay the night at the hotel with them
>Then drive back with the lgs bros
>Seemed like a good plan
>Nidoking and I went online to buy tickets
>Decide to buy the all access pass
>Seemsgood.mp5
>Access to all side events seemed great
>We could play modern and draft all we wanted after we were eliminated

>It was set then
>We were going to Grand Prix Orlando
>The day came earlier than I had expected
>My bro and I got up at the crack of dawn
>The car was packed
>Parents were woken up
>We were ready to go
>The drive down there was peaceful
>The anticipation of tournament level magic coursed through out our bodies
>We were in a zen like state on the way down
>Waiting, just waiting for our chance to make day 2
>Even though we realized the chances of making it were slim, that didn't stop us from dreaming
>After a couple car ride, we arrived
>The convention center was huge
>intimidation.jpg
>For some reason, there was also a gymnastics competition being held there too
>Watching grown men decked out in nerdy regalia next to little girls wearing leotards was quite the spectacle
>My parents dropped us off
>We said our embarrassing goodbyes
>Then headed in
>The center was bigger on the inside than I imagined
>Rows upon rows of tables and chairs all lined up stretching across the entire floor
>Booths filled with card traders selling their wares clustered near the main entrance
>The judges' table stood intimidatingly higher than everything else
>Nidoking and I headed to check in

>Since we both had the same last name, we'd figured it be easy
>"What's your last name?" The attendant asked
>"Nido" I responded
>He looked through the boxes
>He looked through the boxes a second time
>He looked through the boxes a third time
>"I don't see you on here, go over to the judges' booth to clear things up"
>Strange
>For everyone else check in seemed to be an in and out deal
>When Nidoking and I reached the judges' table, we soon realized what was wrong
>Apparently the all access pass let us into all the side events
>But not the main one
>Shit.webm
>After a bit of a dispute, I coughed up the $200 necessary for both of us to join
>Finally we were given our playmats and decks
>We sat down at the assigned table
>And waited for the judge to give the all clear on opening the packs
>After ensuring everyone had a GP promo, the sound was given
>And the race to build a deck was on
>My sealed pool wasn't half bad
>I had some spicy things such as 4 Bastion inventors and a Scrapper champion
>I decided to go all in R/U improvise
>I carefully made up my deck and wrote it down on the sheet

>Then headed to meet up with the others
>Squirtle had 3 byes after winning the PPTQ, so he was mostly there to make sure our decks were not embarrassing
>Magikarp apparently brought along one of his students
>A kid named Polywag
>But everyone just called him Bubbles
>Polywag was about as bright as Magikarp
>He was pretty inexperienced
>So much so that it probably wasn't the best idea to bring him to a GP
>But, hey, the more the merrier, right?
>Magikarp also brought along a girl
>Her name was Piplup
>She was quiet
>Seemed like she didn't want to be there
>Didn't really understand magic
>I was having a hard time figuring out if she just wanted to see what a GP was like
>Or Magikarp just dragged her along as a date
>Anyhow, everyone's deck seemed pretty sweet
>Scyther, in his usual cocky attitude swore he couldn't lose
>Pinsir confirmed the sickness of Scyther's deck
>Squirtle pointed out that, if need be, I could swap red for white after game 1
>supersecretsideboard.gif
>Bubble's deck was a bit of a dumpster fire
>But not as much as one would expect

>Squirtle made some modifications to it
>And around that time, round 1 began
>I was against an older dude
>Early 40s, balding
>He was nice enough
>After a quick 2 games I won the match
>Turns out a turn 4 Bastion inventor was hard to beat
>It felt good being 1-0
>Maybe I would make it to day two after all
>Our group reconvened at our pre-determined spot
>Turns out, everyone won round 1
>Even Pollywag
>But there was no time to celebrate
>Round 2 began
>I was up against another teenager
>Guy around 16
>Curly hair
>Game 1 was over pretty fast when I got mana screwed
>I was tempted to side in my white, but decided against it
>Game 2 was a win for me
>I smashed in with my Scrapper Champion to take it
>Game 3 was a grind though
>It was a constant back and forth of "play a creature, removal; play a creature, removal"
>Finally, I ran out of gas
>And got hit in the face with my opponent's own Scrapper Champion
>I was now 1-1
>Well above the 3 losses needed to make day 2
>But still disappointing
>Returning to the meeting place, I found I was the only person that lost
>Sadtown: Population: Me

>But hey!
>I was still in it
>And the games were close, which was nice
>Round 3 began
>I was against this old lady
>While most old people turned to Bingo
>She turned to magic
>I asked her how long she'd been playing for
>Her 4 digit DCI number explained it all
>I was pretty intimidated
>Not to mention I'd be embarrassed if I got my ass kicked by my grandma
>Game 1 went by slowly
>I had to be pretty patient considering the speed she played at
>But eventually I won
>Game 2 went much the same
>Several turns went by when she had lethal on board but didn't notice
>I didn't have the heart to tell her
>And promptly murdered the old lady with Bastion Inventors
>Hey, this was a tournament
>There was no time for chivalry
>Afterwords, we got to talking about how much the game has changed
>Surprisingly her least liked change to the game was the removal of mana burn
>She said it made the game much more strategic
>Literally the only person I've ever seen who liked mana burn
>We laughed over a couple of jokes
>And I was off to check in with my team
>This time it was a bit of a mix
>Scyther lost
>His mood about his deck went from one extreme to the other
>Called it garbage
>Classic Scyther
>Pinsir won easily
>Squirtle was getting some action next round
>If he won half his matches he'd day 2
>"If I fuck this up I'm going to literally end myself," he joked
>Magikarp lost
>Pollywag won, somehow
>Weelde won
>Nidoking won

>I was 2-1
>life seemed good
>We headed in to round
>I was against a guy in a hoodie
>Right from the start it was down hill
>I knocked a card from the top of my library
>It landed face up on the floor
>ohfuckme.shit
>Call a judge over
>I had to shuffle it back into my deck
>If it happened again, I'd get a gameloss
>The real twist of the knife was when I found out it was a Hungry Flames
>Which would have won me the game
>Game 2 I run the guy over with Inventors
>Game 3 I flood out and die
>Talking to the guy, we got into a discussion about Bastion inventor
>"Yeah, my buddy said there was this dude who crushed him with like 4 of those"
>I laugh and splay out my cards
>Turns out his buddy was the guy I beat round one
>Small world I suppose
>Since it's early in the round, I decide to grab some pizza
>Normally the line is forever long
>But since it was midround, I got a free pass to the front
>Which still sucks because $12 convention pizza
>Food is food tho
>I go to the meeting spot and scarf down my lunch
>Squirtle gets back
>Says he lost

>sadface
>So did pinsir
>Scyther and magikarp were on the losing train as well
>Pollywag is still doing his match
>We decide to see who he's against
>mfw it's some Chinese pro player
>Miraculously, Bubbles won round one
>How he did it, I don't know
>But he got destroyed game 2
>And how, at the height of game 3...
>He was still getting destroyed
>It was over pretty quick for him
>We eventually tell him that guy was a pro
>He laughs
>Brags a bit about how he beat a pro
>Oh pollywag
>Nidoking joined us to say he lost as well
>Weedle was on a roll though
>Only one of us who was undefeated
>Going into round 5, I was wary I was nearing defeat
>I was against this blonde Swedish guy
>Game one was a total punt on my part
>Game two was neck and neck
>I almost had it
>Until a Fatal Push ruined my Scrapper Champion
>And I died
>Horribly
>There I was
>the dreaded 3 losses
>I would have to go undefeated if I wanted to have a shot at day 2
>We met up again and exchanged our wins/losses
>Squirttle 4-1
>Weedle 4-1
>Scyther 3-2
>Pollywag 3-2
>Nidoking 3-2
>Magikarp 2-3
>Nidoran 2-3
>Even though I was at the bottom of the pack
>I could still make day 2
>I went into round 6

>Sudden death mode activate
>I was against a fat dude
>Going full try hard, I beat him easily
>Saving myself from elimination
>And crushing his hopes of making day 2
>Dude was nice though
>He liked my deck
>I told him at the start if it went to game 3 I'd side in my white
>That got a good laugh
>I shook his hand and left for home
>Magikarp got eliminated
>He lost because of a misplay game 3
>feelsbadman.jpg
>Pollywag also got destroyed
>As did Pinsir, Scyther, and my brother
>But, Squirtle and Weedle won
>One more win for each and they'd be guaranteed to day 2
.>Pairings for round 7 went up
>I was against this Asian guy
>Probably my best opponent of the day
>We joked about shit
>Both of us were hopeful to day 2
>We knew one of us wouldn’t though
>Even through this tension, we still were lenient
>He pointed out missed triggers
>I pointed out missed triggers
>I made the same promise to swap out my deck for game 3
>And we chuckled
>Game 1 I got my ass whopped
>It looked like I wouldn't make it to game 3
>Game 2 I eeked out a win
>Game 3 rolled around
>Unfortunately it was taking forever to sleeve up my white
>If we went to time and tied, neither of us would day 2
>He REALLY wanted to day 2
>Since he was being such a bro, I cut him a deal
>If we go to time, I'll give the win to him
>Sure enough, my deck was sleeved
>Time ran out
>A judge came over
>And we went to turns

>Meanwhile, Magikarp and Pollywhirl were gathered around
>Magikarp was looking through my sideboard notes on my trusty yellow legal pad
>The Judge notices this
>"Are those your notes?" She asks
>"Yeah"
>She looks puzzled for a second
>"I'll be right back"
>She walks off to ask another judge something
>I'm half paying attention to her when she returns
>"Normally referring to your notes during a game would be grounds for an immediate diqualification, but since it's so late in the round I'll let it slide."
>Wtf
>Goddamn it Magikarp
>Turns out, because he was flipping over to my sideboard notes, I almost got disqualified
>Thanks dumbass
>I give Magikarp the stink eye and return to the game
>My fliers are about to do him in
>I'm so close
>Then, turn 5 ends
>I almost had him
>One more turn would kill him
>But no
>It's a draw
>Asian-bro sheepishly slides me the judge slip
>"So.... uh" he stutters
>I could totally screw this guy right now
>But he's been so nice to me
>It was my fault we went to turns
>He should have a chance to day 2
>I'm a man of my word, I think to myself
>I sign the slip as 2-1 in favor of him
>And eliminate myself from making day 2
>He thanks me profusely
>Asian-bro excitingly goes to turn the slip in
>Watching him walk away made me smile
>I might have made his day
>I was hoping to get his number or something to keep in contact since he was so chill
>Unfortunately that never happened
>Did he make day 2?
>No clue
>I did, however, see him playing in round 9
>So I hope he did
>It's moments like these that make me love magic
>The sportsmanship of both sides coming together to make people happy
>Even though I lost
>I felt like I won

>I wandered around the convention center a bit after that
>Looked at the booths and such
>Bought some old Mirrodin Besieged for the hell of it
>Got some stuff for my Aurelia commander deck
>Watched my brother play some games
>Going into round 9, Pinsir, Scyther, Magikarp, and Pollywhirl were eliminated
>My brother was on 3 losses
>Weedle and Squirtle were on 2 losses a piece, so they knew they would Day 2
>Nidoking was the one we were unsure about
>Watching him, the first two games were close
>He eeked out a win in game one
>He eeked out a loss in game 2
>And finally in the heartbreaker round...
>He flooded
>The event wrapped up for the day
>Nidoking was pretty disappointed
>But hey, this was our first GP
>We decided to go grab dinner afterwards at a Japanese steakhouse
>One of those ones where they cook in front of you
>feelsgood.png
>Piplup had caught up with us
>I hadn't seen her all day
>I sat next to my bro and Pinsir
>Pollywag had to head home, so he wasn't there
>Plus Magikarp was planning on drinking
>Turns out, drinking with your teacher is not a good idea
>Speaking of drinks, Scyther immediately asked Pinsir if they wanted Sake
>HELL YEAH
>I jokingly asked Pinsir if I could have some
>HELL NO, I AINT GOING TO JAIL
>I laughed my ass off at that
>The waitress comes up for our orders
>Celebrating anything special today?
>Weedle looks at her and says
>Day 2
>She looks super confused
>What's that?
>Weedle responded
>Day 2
>Huh?
>Day 2
>Finally she gave up
>We ordered our food
>As usual the chef came and made it in front of us
>Fried rice was great
>The shrimp I had was p good
>Halfway through the meal I decide to ask Pinsir what was up with Piplup
>Were they dating or just friends or what?
>Pinsir, now pretty drunk just shouts

>HEY MAGIKARP
>NIDORAN WANTS TO KNOW WHAT YOUR DEAL WITH PIPLUP IS
>goddamn.it
>Magikarp looks super embarassed
>So does Piplup
>Sheepishly say they are dating
>Pinsir turns to me
>See? Now how hard was it to just ask him?
>I just kinda laughed it off
>We finish up
>I didn't have any cash on me at the moment so I said I'd pay Squirtle back later
>Scyther drops Nidoking and I back at the hotel
>Parents ask me how it was
>Tell them about my day
>And fall down on my bed
>Lying there, it put everything into perspective
>I usually was very bad at bonding with people
>Never really fit in anywhere
>But here, it seemed like I belonged
>Just a bunch of nerds having a good time
>I smiled and drifted off to sleep
>Day 2 arrived quickly
>Waking up from my sleep, my parents dropped my brother and I off at the convention center
>We said our goodbyes and they drove off back home
>Day 2 seemed a little different from day 1
>It seemed like there was less people milling about
>But you still got that convention vibe
>Pinsir immediately spotted LSV and Gabby
>Made a B-line to them
>Nidoking and I decided to watch the situation unfold
>Pinsir cracks a joke with LSV
>Tells Gabby he likes to watch her stream
>Tells Gabby again he likes to watch her stream
>Tells Gabby a third time he likes to watch her stream
>Brother and I are snickering at this point
>Pinsir finally breaks away from the conversation
>Stares at us both laughing our asses off
>What? Have you faggots never talked to someone before?
>I mock him

>H....hey... ggggggggGaby.....I watch you stream, I really like your stream, strream......
>Pinsir just flips me off
>That was pretty much our joke of the day from that point on
>Decide to enter the day 2 sealed side event
>Most people just got their packs and left
>I almost did the same
>Until I realized my pool was insane
>I had Smuggler's Copter AND Aethersphere harvester
>And Scrapper Champion
>And Winding Constrictor
>And Whiley Bandar
>I proceeded to make the sickest Jund deck of my life
>Man I wish I had this pool yesterday
>Round one no one shows
>Auto-win for me
>Sweet
>Round 2 I quickly steamroll my opponent
>I felt a little bad, I'll admit
>After he blew up my Aethersphere Harvester I played a Monster Truck (Irontread Crusher)
>And he just looked sad
>It was like kicking a puppy
>Nice guy though, he took it like a champ
>Round 3 rolls along
>And no one shows
>I chatted with the judge for a good 15 mins
>Then I got another auto-win
>Sweet
>I was now 3-0
>I could split the last prize with my opponent
>But I decided to risk it for the biscuit
>My final opponent was a girl
>This adorable 12 year old girl

>Her hands were too small to shuffle her own deck
>Asked if her mom could do it for her
>I laughed and told her sure
>Geez, I already bashed a poor old woman's head in yesterday, am I going to have to kill this small child today?
>We joked about things as we got started
>I was pretty lenient at letter her do things
>She was very quiet
>Had this Pikachu she used to "guard" over her deck
>To be honest, she reminded me of a girl I loved
>She was like a younger version of Pikachu I wrote about on /r9k/
>Nerdy, quiet, smart, sensetive
>She was Hispanic too so she fit the bill perfectly
>I smiled to myself
>Hopefully she hadn't gone through what Pika did
>Her innocence was endearing
>We played 3 games
>It was actually surprisingly close
>She won game one
>She almost won game 2
>She could've won game three, but for some reason decided to dump all her mana into a Verdant Automoton to make him huge
>And I killed her with a bat in the air
>I felt a little bad not letting her win
>But tickets
>I talked to her parents about the game
>Gave her some advice (like attacking with that 20/20 instead of just looking at it)
>We each got our tickets
>And went our separate ways
>I couldn't stop thinking about how much she reminded me of Pika though
>I was almost teleported back 3 years ago almost
>While she was walking away happily
>All I saw was Pika
>Standing in the open
>Watching me leave
>How I wished for that whole relationship to work out
>All I knew is if I ever had a daughter, I hope she ends up like her
>And I never saw mini-Pikachu again

>I got back to the group to catch up on what had happened
>Weedle was quickly eliminated from Day 2 unfortunately
>So we decide to start doing team drafts
>Syther, Pinsir, Weedle and I say we are going to sign up
>Suddenly, I spot a sword of feast and famine I need
>Go to buy it
>I get back to the side event station
>Aaand Magikarp took my place
>wtf Magikarp
>Oh I thought you were doing something
>Dejected, I joined a commander pod
>It was Archangel Avacyn vs Atraxa vs Queen Marchesa vs Aurellia
>It started out with a bang
>It was pretty clear the guy playing Avacyn was a tryhard
>Immediately fetches with an Arid mesa for a sacred foundry
>Then plays Land Tax
>The collective groan could be heard for miles
>I did my thing, playing small creatures and artifacts
>The Atraxa deck was pretty sweet
>Thalid tribal baby
>He played out his hand pretty quickly as well
>The Marchesa deck got mana flooded
>Unfortunately didn't do anything the whole game
>Womp womp womp
>I eventually get Nahiri out
>Ult her for Cataclysmic Gearhulk to wipe board a couple turns later
>Then start going ham with Taljic equipped with a big ass sword
>Until Archangel Avacyn gets a friend
>Avacyn, Angel of hope
>But I soon realize something
>I have Pariah in hand
>Attach it to Avacyn on my turn
>Dude starts pumping out tokens left and right from Assemble the legion
>Marchesa is soon out for the count
>Thalidbro barley hangs on with a Progenitor Mimic targeting Avacyn
>Avacyn guy smiles to himself, and attacks me for like 30
>Look him dead in the eye
>Tell him
>I take it

>He starts counting up damage
>I remind him what Pariah does
>His smug look fades
>Embarrassed, he quickly redeclares attackers to Thalidbro
>And then tries to chaos warp Thalidbro's Progenitor mimic
>Like a pro, Thalidbro topdecks a phantasmal image
>He is safe another turn
>But soon, all is lost
>Avacyn player convinces Thalidbro to kill Pariah
>Blows it up with a vindicate
>BETRAYAL
>Feelsbad.jpg
>Avacynbro looks smug again
>Murders Thalidbro in cold blood
>Without my Pariah to protect me, I get beaten to death by soldiers
>We give out the prize tickets
>I give mine to Thalidbro for the spicy Thalid brew
>Thalidbro likes my deck and gives his to me
>So does Marchesa
>And Avacyn, even though he won, gives me his ticket
>Sick
>With all these tickets, I headed over to the prize wall
>I noticed Planechase Anthology cost 400 tickets
>I had 380
>I asked my brother if he was willing to chip in 20 tickets for the monstrous box
>He said hell yeah
>I walked up to the booth
>Justin Parnell, of all people, handed me the box
>I handed him my tickets
>As I was walking away a guy yelled
>Man... I wish I knew that feeling, what can I get for 20 tickets?!
>Nidoking and I laughed our asses off as we went to check on the team draft
>Apparently, we were kicking ass
>We had completely destroyed the first team that went against us
>I walked in on us dumpstering the second
>Off in the corner was something pequilier though
>Bubbles had joined a draft
>And somehow made it to the final two

>Pinsir filled me in
>His deck was garbo
>We are talking Tasseled Dromidary and Consulate Turret garbo
>Only reason why he moved on is that after his opponents beat him, they left
>And because they dropped, he got the wins
>But this last guy was not so casual
>I only saw a little of it, but it looked like a slaughter
>Untethered Expresses steamrolling over Camels
>Monster Trucks driving past the turrets
>It was brutal
>Polywag was getting a proper ass whooping
>After a quick game 2, the carnage was over
>Dejected, Polywag made way way back to us
>We finally beat the other team as he arrived back
>It was getting late
>We had a 3-hour drive ahead of us
>My brother was in the modern tournament for a while
>Scarring the living bejesus out of budget burn decks with his soul sisters deck
>Though, he too was getting tired
>He decided to drop
>We walked out of the convention center weary yet pleased
>We had 2 people make day 2
>I had won a side event
>We defeated 2 teams in draft
>All in all life was good
>On the way out, there were some Coolstuff soldier tokens strewn about the ground
>I had no idea why
>But they were there
>The art looked good so I picked 'em up
>And we headed to the car

>We stopped at a pasta place for one last meal before the drive
>It was Magikarp's idea to go to the pasta place instead of a Brazillian Steakhouse
>Tbh it would have been better going to the steakhouse
>We ate and joked before hitting the road again
>On the ride back, I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time
>Content
>For once things worked out
>I had good people to hang out with
>I finally fit in
>For once in my life I wasn't an outcast
>It felt good
>I drifted off to sleep thinking
>This is my family
>This is my home

Sorry for being so long winded, TL;DR I had a great time at GP Orlando.
I feel like I owe you guys, this community has done more good for me than any other. It just feels like home, cozy and inviting. We may have our disputes, we may have our differences, but at the end of the day we are just a bunch of nerds who want to sit down and play magic, not caring who plays with them. And that is why I love this game. That is why I love this community. You guys are the best, I hope you all know that. Thank you for being awesome.

Still less autistic than me for reading it and finding it comfy, glad you had fun OP

...

No need to shit post two images.
(Filenames)

The fuck is this? No one should read this nonsense, why did you type all that out?

tl;dr

Is this the same magic community we're talking about here?

Please be patient, OP has autism.

Eh, I had a good time, wanted to share it. If you guys don't feel the same or don't give a shit, that's fine. I just wanted to say I'm glad I found this community.

Here, next time try this:

>went to GP Orlando with my bros

Comfy MtG storythread anyone?

Brevity trully is the soul of wit

Cute story but seriously this isn't your blog. Keep this shit to r9k

Fair enough, I just enjoy writing longhand sometimes. That's kinda the reason why I put tl;dr because I knew some people wouldn't want to read it.

I know you have autism, but seriously, I'm a motherfucking genius and you best respect that.

>phrase an OP exactly like I did
>put a humorously relevant or anime girl picture in the OP
>greentext your wall of word vomit later in the thread
>play it cool like it wasn't you if it doesn't go over well
>if you're really lucky, someone might even ask you to tell your story in more detail

OP, I'm glad you're glad.

Glad you like the community here, but seriously this didn't need to be a thread.

You're so autistic it hurts. Every element of your story made me cringe.

Also, having a crush on a 12 year old is fucked up man. Seek help.

>She was like a younger version of Pikachu I wrote about on /r9k/
>/r9k/
And suddenly, I know everything about this story that I need to know.

desu what you did here wasn't very good. You went to time, so you should have drawed. Sure, fun for him to make day 2, but he didn't earn that win and might have taken someone elses spot from day 2 who actually earned it.

So who is more autistic, OP or the people actually reading all this shit?

>this entire fucking thread
What in the sweet hell is this.

Cool story OP. You're a creepy fuck for lusting after a 12 year old though.

Honestly, this thread was a better read than another poorly disguised fetish thread or "X is now in 40k, what happen?" thread.
