russian ice princesses fucking when?

Just let it go.

Oh shit, don't tell the followers of Morr, but there are skeletons in this thread right now!

who has better feets, the lady or katarin? asking for a friend

So, Warhammer's Halloween is Geheimnisnacht
Geheimnisnacht is associated with Nagash and his spirit stirs when it comes (and he once came back to unlife for one night)

Does this mean that by pre-ET canon Nagash should have a pumpkin head?

Just in case since other thread is ending, dwarf user:
Probably a couple different ways you could go about it, depending how literal/fancy you want to be. No word for star that I can find, so you'd probably have to make a word from scratch or another compound word. Most literal would be I think Ungor a Bruzak Drazharri which would be Cavern of Purple Night-fires. Some other fun words to consider:
grung mine
irkul pillared vault hewn into rock
khaz underground hall/chamber, palace halls
ruff large underground dome, either natural or constructed
As far as other ways of saying star...Skarrenzharri would be Sky-fires, zoniti *should* be little suns.

How would you go about improving the end times?

Alternatively if you liked the end times well enough as is how would you improve Storm of chaos?

Less retcons, less predictable “eviler factions win”

I took a few pics from my most recent game yesterday- dark elves vs empire using a modified version of scenario 3 from Circle of Blood, race for the bridge. I’m working on getting a full battle report but wanted to tease.

Has anyone else been able to get any games in?

>Has anyone else been able to get any games in?
I played a game of 2000x4 Triumph and Treachery last tuesday. Got shrecked but atleast I rolled double sixes on EotG three times with one Warshrine cast. Too bad I only brought one Daemon Prince with me.

Why is that lady on the pegasus on the ground?

how do you roll for race in WFRP?

a massive shake up like that should be used to delete shitty factions and/or introduce new ones or situations

for instance you could give chorfs an outpost closer to the old world so they could be more involved in the setting.

honestly i would have deleted the warriors of chaos because they are too outdated as a faction and dont make enough sense in setting. you already have norsca that does basically the same thing but better and its actually sort of confusing trying to make them be two different things

they are too high fantasy for warhammer world and the end times would have been the perfect chance to squat them with a last alliance of men and elves type situation what im trying to say. then the setting would be like the end of lotr where evil and betrayal seeps back into the world

also change the aesthetic of the goyimpire to have less floppy hats

In the core rules, you don't. However, if you really want to...

why are there so many hobbits?

So what is the deal with the underwater civilizations in the Warhammer world? They're mentioned numerous times in armybooks and background fluff.

>It is even said, by old crusty sea dogs, that the dark currents of the Great Ocean actually hide an entire underwater kingdom. Such wild speculation can hardly be given credit, though it is difficult to disprove.
>Marius Leitdorf went mad after seeing a glimpse of an underwater civilization. Not many men can be said to have waged wars against forests, swarms of bees and half-imagined fishmen.
>The temple-city of Chupayotl slips into the sea. Rumors speak of an undersea race of beings taking residence in this city of gold hidden deep beneath the waves.
>In the year 554 a Dark Elf corsair fleet is dragged beneath the waves by an onslaught of submersible craft that appear to be half ship and half kraken.
>A sunken pyramid city rises from the depths of the ocean directly underneath the wayward fleet of Lord Valdisson. A great battle is fought between the Warriors of Chaos and the city's scaly, web-fingered inhabitants.
>Mermaids have an upper body somewhere between Human and Elf, usually female, atop the tail of a fish. Their hand are claw-like. The upper-body's appearance ranges from a savage attractiveness to a hideous and hag-like twisted mirror of humanity.
>Triton is lord of the sea, a wild, powerful demi-god who can control the elements and tame the monsters of the deep. Most of his kind have passed on from the Known World, and Triton himself is perhaps the last to linger on. He is old beyond telling - perhaps as old as the world itself - and has little to do with the affairs of the short-lived creatures who traverse the seas in their fragile constructions. The Elves know something of his heritage, and it is believed that much of their Sea Lore was passed on to them by Triton and his kin many, many centuries ago.

gw just keeping a cthulhu faction in the oven

could have used skub times to introduce them make them playable

Adventurous is more like "this is a fantasy adventuring party." Demographic is how many people there actually are. So Dwarfs and Halflings have similar populations to Asians in the US; there's not a lot, but if you go to certain places they're all you'll find.

man this seems easy to set up and really cool

>an old one who fled to the ocean during the great catastrophe and has since gone crazy
>sunken lizardmen are changed to fishmen by him and worship him
>as a faction can have them pop up anywhere in the world with a coastline or large rivers so easy to get them into action in the setting

the lady. although katarin wears killer ice high heels

Do you think it would be fair to use the same numbers if you were rolling up an adventure from outside of the Empire?

where did you get this from?

hobbits dont even exist outside of the empire do they?

So as a dark elf player what tips do you have for using Cold One Knight, they are such beautiful minis, the first ones I bought, I usually play against empire and my opponent brings a great cannon and shoots them to pieces. How o I save them?

If you're from Bretonnia it should be 1 is Dwarf, 2 is Halfling, and 3-100 is Human. Estalia and Tilea are going to have lower numbers of Dwarfs, and Halflings are only rarely seen outside the Empire. Elves are rare everywhere.

Lumpin Crook's Fighting Cocks are a Regiment of Renown, and it's safe to assume some Halflings appear in Tilea as a whole.

The Feastmaster tribe of Ogres is known for having captured a whole bunch of Halflings, and in a rare piece of foresight, their Tyrant Blaut Feastmaster didn't eat them but instead assigned them to cooking duty, thus improving the tribe's overall food quality.

It's an ancient GW in-joke. Whenever someone would ask the studio guys which army book was coming next, they would always answer 'fishmen'.

And now there will never be another army book coming ever again. ;_;

It's sometimes mentioned that Pygmies might be related to Halflings, but nothing beyond that.

Please help me guys, I want to use my cold one knights without them being blown off the board.

Personally, I prefer "alternate history" wank. For example, "what if the Elves won the War of the Beard", or "what if The Empire of Man was based in Araby" or "what if Lady Magritta's election was not nullified by the Arch-Lector of Sigmar" or otherwise. Are there any "alternate fantasy" scenarios you could see as being worth exploring?

I personally am a fan of the "Araby Sigmar" scenario leading to The Empire being NotOttoman rather than NotGerman, simply because it adds opportunity to explore/fluff out those areas that GW skimmed over, the game would be far more "mobile" than infantryblockspam, and there were some amusing ideas out there.

For example, without the alliance of man early on, the Dwarfs get overrun earlier. "(Karaz-a)Karak is burning." and retreat southwards in huge convoys of repurposed mining equipment. Their traditionalism dies out faster, especially with the loss of Anvils of Doom, and their engineering becomes less towards ancient holds, and more towards staying mobile. While some Dwarfs settle in The Empire, they're now mostly a nomadic civilization residing in steam mining-crawlers, with gyrocopters and sandskiffs serving as outriders. In short, they're Homeworld Dorfs.

go carpet bomb somewhere else sandnigger

They occasionally travel to other places - Bretonnia barely has any, but a few travel there. Most Bretonnians are ignorant enough they think they're just short humans, because fuck Bretonnians actually knowing or understanding anything, right? They don't care what Skaven are, apparently they don't know shit about elves...

what the fuck are you talking about and why do you hate bretonnia? are you this sandnigger and just talking shit about the white chad faction? bretonnia has more interaction with elves than the empire and hobbits basically are short humans. and whats wrong with not knowing what something you never encounter is?

I have the sa me problem with my verminlord. I've just learned to use terrain or just load up on some anti artillery units and hope for a good first turn.

Question for the thread then: would 8th have been better if cannons kept the "no premeasure for cannons" rule? Cannons seem to be the most consistent killers in the game. You will pretty much always hit with your 10-from-the-back playstyles.

Apparently, most Bretonnians don't know elves when they see them - Wood Elves are somehow super mysterious outside of odd travelling Wood Elves from the Empire, and outside of a few coastal cities Bretonnians never have interaction with High Elves.

It just disgusts me how Bretonnia is pretty much all but set up as stupid and ignorant. I get that the whole 'Skaven are supposed to be kept secret' thing in the Empire would be ruined if the Bretonnians just openly knew about it, but the Bretonnians have been invaded by Skaven before, they should know their shit. Bretonnians not being able to recognize elves for what they are is flimsy at best and stupid at worst. They should know about Wood Elves from Athel Loren, especially considering the yearly invasions and the occasional times they've worked together. They should have enough interaction with the Empire to know what the hell the halflings they're going on about are. It's making Bretonnians stupid for the sake of it, without any other Old World nation having to be treated like that.

>white chad faction?
Is this nigga serious?
>and whats wrong with not knowing what something you never encounter is?
It means you are dumb. To be fair Bretonnia is written dumb on purpose, doesn't make the faction less dumb.

No, Gehem is based on the pre-unified and gentrified AKA American ideas of holidays, where it was a night to fear and fuck with your neighbors, and not one to celebrate.

Each culture has their own version, usually celebration came before or after 10/31. I think the early Brits treated it as a day to be pious, like an extra Sunday.

Not that much of an alternate history, but dwarves completely acknowledging chaos dwarves and fighting them on a daily basis would in my opinion help them both to get some more character.

youre getting upset over old gw memes

just take it to mean the peasants are brain dead retards and only the nobility are educated and can use common sense

the empire is exactly the same way with skaven by the way and they even had an empire called "skaven slayer" or some shit that fought back an empire wide invasion of skaven

bretonnia never got another book after they were in the "lets make monty python jokes" phase of their existence.

It is an alternate universe, a what if campaign. Much like every other campaign you go back to status quo at the end, but keep anything that the fans like such as special ruled or certain models.

Ice Maidens are actually expected to be celibate.

It's only when you hit Ice Witch that the vow of celibacy expires.

They're pretty cold and distant, but apparently Ice Witches have married their way into pretty much all houses of power. And of course the Tzarina is the greatest of her kind since the first. This is a woman who built half a fucking castle out of never-melting ice, among other things.

At what point does an expensive unit with 2 wounds and heavy armor become better than a more numerous and cheaper unit with 1 wound and light armor?

buttsecks doesnt count and in case youve never been to a porn site, slavs are obsessed with it

by buttsex i of course mean the witch pegging you with an ice dildo

Depends who your fighting really and what you want them for. Also what 'numerous' means.

I play skaven and I could field 50+ units of slaves as a tar pit, but you know what would make short work of them? Pretty much anything that can deal multiple attacks, magic, arrows, ect. But if you mean "10 elite troops or 20 regular" then I go for tougher guys.

>When she says "sure we can try anal" without saying what she means by "we."

to be fair bretonnia is also 2 editions old

Depends on where they are. Since Bretonnians rarely travel further than their field in their whole life, a man from carcassonne or Parravon will likely see the WE like magical fey of legend, but a Bretonnian from L'Anguille knows elves all to well

Katarin doesn't go around barefoot.

Geheimnisnacht stands in for Walpurgisnacht too, and it's not a holiday to be celebrated in the Old World. It's a time when - like the days that inspired it - the barrier between this world and the afterlife are thin, when the air is charged with magic, and when daemons bend their ears to foolish invocations by mortal men.

It was always weird how the Chaos Dwarfs were so isolationist and insular, simply existing as a handwave to give siege weapons to primitives that otherwise lacked the industrial base for them.

The idea of Chaos Dwarfs taking a more expansionist angle (factories need slaves and souls) would have been terrifying, and getting an "evil" faction that didn't have comically unreliable toys would have made them an interesting alternative to Skaven.

October 23rd has come and gone, as has October 27th. Once again user has shown himself to be a liar, and that Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th Edition will never happen.

Like said, it's an old inside joke, but it reflects the real life rumors and stories that always used to surround the sea and the idea of lost or alien civilizations. Add to this lovecraft's modern deep ones, with the easily-tied-in themes of mutation, dark sacrifice, and rape, and it's no surprise there's mention of a sea civ under the waves.

They work much better in the RPG.

You can find them in Tilea, but they're not common in Bretonnia, Estalia, or Kislev - probably mostly confined to the local 'Empiretown.'

Bretonnians know what elves are, but think of the 'fey' incorrectly as a separate race. Considering how reclusive Athel Loren elves are, and considering they almost always only appear in the form of the Wild Hunt, this is understandable.

Bretonnians sometimes mistake dwarfs or halflings for mutants, especially in isolated places like Mousillon.

the lady doesnt let her perfect feets touch the filthy earth though. and even if they did ever get dirty she would have me to give them a tongue bath

shes like a sexy slann

>Those 6e Troopers
Holy shit I'm so fucking jealous

Wouldn’t the lady get a boy she’s /ss/ing to do that?

What are the peak hours of this thread?
Aussie? Euro? East coast? West coast?

I'm guessing Euro, because WHFB was never that big in the US.
The US has a lot more people shitposting though, so maybe I'm wrong.

Can you stop trying to force your fetish into this?

No.

The Lady prefers manly men. See: Gilles le Breton.

I think there was a quote about wood elves being taken care by little boys.

In the other thread, there was discussion about doing a "Legend of Sigmar" spinoff game, with rules for the assorted pre-Empire tribes. Be it cavalry&chariot Brigundians, Braveheart Udoses, wolfywolf Teutogens, insane/accursed Thuringians, etc. such a setting would be an interesting alternative to "present" WHFB games.

Is anyone here interested in crunching out such a game?

i was hoping total war would go there in their next games since they did the same thing with shogun 2

And maybe they are all for Orions giant beast dick, what do we know.

Don’t they do something to brainwash them and keep them eternally children?

I'm in need of a drill to use on for my minis.
Do you think that one of these two are worth their price?

I'm kinda sceptical about the cheap one from china. Pic related.

>Wood Elves have the equivalent of Kokiri as servants

>you already have norsca

Norsca is not a separate army, it's just Warriors of Chaos.

A source that refers to Sea Elves shouldn't be taken too seriously.

It's fine. The WFRP 2e use of the term is just a reconciliation between old and new fluff.

'Sea Elf' in the modern canon if just the term humans use for High Elf traders because they tend to be a little more cosmopolitan than their aloof Ulthuani brethren.

Ogres keep them around in their kingdoms. They arranged a deal with the hobbits: make the garbage they bring back into something appetizing, and the hobbits in turn get to live.

4E?

Nope.

It's actually not confirmed if Gilles and the Lady had a liason, though it's popularly believed. There's also a rumor that she gave Louen a cheeky kiss.

4e doesn't real

she definitely got the long louen dicc with beakie being the ace wingman and dicking down the ladies horse

Veeky Forums, how much of a Chad do you have to be to marry a powerful, attractive ice witch? Asking for a friend.

Pretty damn manly, considering it's a pasttime to wrestle bears in Kislev.

At least this Chad.

Don't mind me, I was trying to give a storytime in /twg/ and found out too late tha image size is quite lacking there.

...

Stay inside this Geheimnisnacht, or you burn.

A modern classic, this one.

damn this is a nice color scheme

i like it more than tomorrow

>Kegh mon princess

>comparing some lazy elf hiding on a paradise island to the warrior-queen of two warrior races who stand at the door of Chaos and spit in its face

Chaos Dwarfs were easily one of the best things in WHFB and unique as fuck, it's a shame GW never gave them a chance

They got a really badass forgeworld model lineup, and are going to be in TWW.

Better then what happened to Sisters...

>going to be in TWW

Sauce?

They said all sixteen races supported in 8th edition we're going to eventually be added. That includes Chaos Dwarfs.

Hopeful thinking. There's no confirmation that I'm aware of, but the inclusion of Norsca and a lot of bits and pieces of old lore support the idea of them being included. From what I understand TW:W is exceeding their expectations and shifted their plans around to make more content. I can't imagine the Chaos Dwarfs will miss the opportunity to be included. I certainly hope they are. I was never a fan of them until recently when I started reading up on their lore. Now I'm working on an army for them.

technically they already are in total warhammer I and II

they crew the chaos artillery

Karak Zorn mentioned to dare to trade with Chaos Dwarfs on TWW2.

Sure they exist in the setting. That doesn't mean they'll be a playable race. I'm pretty sure they will be, but there's no guarantees yet.

you act like its absolutely nothing or like some throw away line they put in some units description

they have spent time modeling units for the game already. its a pretty sure bet they will be in III

Just a quick question, would Chaos Dwarf's actually trade with other people besides Norscans? Like aren't they super, super, SUPER xenophobic (more then the Dark Elves). I couldn't imagine a caravan of them being welcomed in Empire held lands.

I think they trade with Ogres too don't they?
