How about replacing that Deviant link with the Geist preview?

Only if you limit the thread exclusively to discussion of published material.

>Should thread be kill?
Yes. I don't know why anyone keeps fucking making them. All that's going to happen is the same thing, people shitposting and then people whining about the shitposting.

We're at the point where we've got people who don't even want to talk about games, ideas, or characters, and shit on people who do, and then we've got a bunch of other retards who take it as a personal offense and a crime against creativity that people don't want to talk about their fansplat and don't treat it as an actual game in the setting. Literally the worst of both worlds.

Just delete the thread while you're still able to.

there's a difference between not taking part in a discussion and actually insulting people who bring up something
just live and let live, if you're not interested in soimething, you can just ignore it

>there's a difference between not taking part in a discussion and actually insulting people who bring up something
Yeah. The difference is the latter is what's happening here.

Precisely this.

Does any gameline have mechanics for "Ambrosia"?

>Ambrosia
Can you define what you mean by that ? Do you mean the drink of the gods in ancient mythology ?

So, anyone excited for the new VtM video game recently announced?

>new VtM video game
as in, an actual video game and not a telltale half-assed shitfest? got any links?

calvinayre.com/2017/10/23/press-releases/foxium-chooses-microgamings-quickfire-platform/

Not a Telltale game, that's for sure.

I meant as the "food/drink of Gods."

If there is no canon material on it, I'd make it a condition for food stuff with effects being little bit of everything from Golden Apples of both Greek and Norse Myths to Food of Faerie and Hades's Pomegranate.

I guess you could see some Goblin Fruit as being similar to Ambrosia.

And I guess a specialise Mage Legacy might be able to create Perfected Food.

check out Goblin Fruits from Changeling (assuming you're talking ChroD)
I think there are going to be expanded rules on making custom goblin fruits/food in the upcoming 2e
old gods in general tend to interpret well as True Fae, regardless of cultural origin

>old gods in general tend to interpret well as True Fae, regardless of cultural origin
Well both are shapeshifting rapist douches(if we take from greek mythology)

There's also the Lost Pantheon for high Wyrd changelings worshipped as gods.

With almost total control of reality within their vicinity.

By the way, is there an Ancient Greece dark era? Is it criminally lacking Changelings and Fae?

I, user who asked about Ambrosia, am actually Changelingfag and thinking about making a small faction that focuses on catering divinely good (and addictive) food to anyone. They could make nice Chronicle or element of one.

I think there is one takeing place during conquests of Alexander the Great

DE1 has hellenistic mages, DE2 will have hellenistic changelings and prometheans.

I think it was Changeling and Beast setting in Dark Ages 2.

Right! Prometheans are named after Greek myth and have an entire splat based on that animated "perfect woman."

Light the Knights of the Knowledge of the Tongue?
I'd say it would work better with vampires as their blood is addictive while also increasing lifespan.

Also gives you superpowers since ghouls can learn disciplines and vampires can learn out of clan disciplines through blood drinking.

Neat.
Never really got into Prommies, though. Any reading suggestions apart from core that might help getting into the mood of the splat? I'm having trouble seeing how to build a lasting group game with it.
>Lost Pantheon
what book is that from?

>what book is that from?
Lords of Summer.

Considering making it intersplat. This way they could cater to multiple "pantheons" and provide bonuses to almost every template. Vampire, Lost, Mage and maybe Demon?

Would McFarland bang that?

I would say drop demon and maybe add mummy?

This isn't mere "party" but like an entire business so adding Mummy shouldn't be backbreaking.

Demon is notorious for being nigh-incompatible with almost anything.

Thanks, amigo

Demon make great "side-npcs" with some minor plotlines.

In myvtr game Demon used to own the local Rack untill he got dragged off by angels. He was guest staring in at least 7 sessions.

demon worked pretty well for me when i was running a mage game. the guy running the demon almost kept up power wise

I don't mean actual demon characters, as you can refluff them, it's just that including God-Machine itself into the setting kinda overshadows everything else.

Mage is just as bad in that regard in my books. Some could peg Gentry in same category.

Hmm imho it isn't that bad. GM like Exarchs or Luna are way out there and do not really interact with players unless it is very high end play. Fact that there is an overarching being affecting the workings of the world does not really affect themes and workings of say woof or vampire

At least Supernal Realm is outside the world. God-Machine is literally the world.

So was Gaia in oWoD, but it didn't really matter.

You can easily scale it back a little without taking the fun out of it for Demon.
Hell, Unknown Armies had an equivalent of G-M and setting still had buttload of other stuff.

Could Demons conceivably create a pocket of alternate reality/looped time where it's always night and have vampires pay out the ass to access it? Would you play a game set in that kind of setting?

I would play it. As a Vampire, VII infiltrator or Unchained running it.

>demon creates a literal rape dungeon the size of a small province and vampires pay money to get there and hunt poor mortals trapped in the land of eternal night
>PC is a party of hunters who are investigating mysterious disappearances and they finally find the place
>the land is stuck in the 19th century, and maybe was created even earlier
>the only way to lift the curse is to kill the master of the castle, survivors say
>the party climbs the stairs of the ancient castle, facing many dangers, until they finally find the master
>"DIE MONSTER, YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD!"
Of course I'd play the fuck out of it.

That would probably require Demon to became pocket god-machine in terms of power and achiving Hell. I doubt he would spend that power to cater to others.

Anyway it could work as sort of vacation resosrt for Vamps. Even better pocket dimmension for Promies to unload disquiet in

>tfw dracula's demon form was an actual demon

amazing ideas, stealing all of this
maybe an agency using suborned infrastructure ? or one very powerful demon that found a way to escape angels within his own realm of hell (but can't really leave it) and has grown crazy and very fond of vampires
I feel like there's so much potential with Demons finding their Hell and going off the handle, deciding they'll rule over the masses, renaming themselves Satan, etc ...

How about Demon providing Predator Kings with their own pocket Pangea?

So question for a thought thats been. I've gad a thought for an antagonist of a Changeling the lost game i plan to run. He's a centimami Promethean whome after contact with a Changeling decided he's still interested in the whole transcedence thing, but he wants to be a True Fae instead. How bad is this as a concept and how should i go about it?

I like the concept and it sounds pretty functional on the CtL side. Not familiar enough with PtC to give advice on that side...

Well only humans can become Changelings and True Fae are ascended Changelings so... he'd have to become human, then get intentionally captured by a Fae, then escape, then go through the hassle of gaining enough power as a Changeling to effectively become a True Fae.
That seems a bit convoluted and a bit too much work, but he could try and make bargains with goblins and fae folk.
Or he could just abduct humans and try and change them, use them as slaves, torture them with Disquiet.
What exactly appeals to him in True Fae?

While Changeling can become True Fae according to text True Fae can spawn from basically nothing, and a ST can say there is other ways to become one.
An interesting dilemma would be this: What's correlation between Magnitude and Wyrd and how would Promethean approach conversation of its connection to Principle and Divine Fire to connection to Narrative Causality.

>What exactly appeals to him in True Fae?
Everything that makes then terrifying to Changelings. The ability to directly control all aspects of everything in it's domain with impunity. Naturally he doesnt realise that the true fae are incapable of true creativity so despite the infinite power he'd still be in some way less than human. But that would make the reaction to "the truth" somehow interesting to me.

Fun thing: Give him lots and lots of Tokens and True Fae enablers. The Enablers should preferably want to see him fail just as much as they want to see him succeed.

I've heard GtSE had some stuff on other templates afterlife/souls. Can someone summarize?

Any kind user got a pdf of Beckett's Jyhad Diary to share?

Hunter Chronicle with main theme "Humanity is [Blank]."
One of the stories is True Fae slowly falling in love with Humanity, slowly becoming human.
Any other pitches?

A nosferatu getting lynched by mortals for curing sick children with his blood.

I wonder what the 16th gen vamps would function like.

I'm not really sure what Mask and Dirge from VtR are meant to represent. Is your Mask the front you present to mortals and your Dirge how you are around other vampires? Or is it more like your Mask is how you act outwardly around both other vampires and mortals and your Dirge is how you actually are/your inner motivations?

The latter makes more sense to me, but some of the examples the book gives makes me not so sure.

The True Fae story should probably be dubbed "Infectious" and has G-M's Angel falling in parallel.
"Ungrateful/Vain" for Nosferatu one?

Yeah I just go with the second option since it makes more sense. If vampire does not interact with mortals what use would he have of the mask?

Yeah, the other thing that bothers me is it seems in the first way it would be entirely possible to have a vampire with the same Mask and Dirge. Like your stereotypical Daeva is probably going to be charismatic and flirty around both mortals and other vampires.

Well another interpretation one could try is Mask - as something he thinks he is and Dirge - what he is "in the dark". And this could be both good and bad
>Prince who thinks himself unmovable hardass has repressed charitable side
This is just an idea tho

So how's the Jyhad Diary? Some user mentioned it got released to backers two threads ago.

It's like 600 pages so would anyone even be done reading it?

That's what... a few hours of reading, at most.

vastly depends on the reader, mate. and I don't think lots of people would read that much in such a short time.

Has anyone shared the Changeling Fiction Anthology?

How would vampire react to exposure to sunlight in Umbral realms?

Would it be true sunlight even? I'd rule it as extreme discomfort/small bashing damage.

It's not that big, a third of the pages are images, and the other two thirds are like newspaper cutouts and dialogue

So what's the actual content?

More important question:

Do vampires grow pubic hair?

Grow? No. Although they could still have it. That's a weird image though, for some reason. A vampire with pubes.

Your body returns to its state at the moment of embrace. So if you shaved before embrace you wont get new ones

Can't they spend blood to look alive and get their hearts pumping though? Would that help?

as much as other hairs, i guess

Would definitely help my dick.

Well, the content consists of cool stuff and plot hooks you could include in your games as well as the state of the VtM world immediately before V5

It only works for short time(unless you Ordo Dracul - then can make it work whole night) but whatever change would occur will be reseted next time vamp takes his beauty nap

It doesn't make their heart pump, but it makes them look more alive.

Huh. I just read something in that new book (Thousand Years of Nights) that suggests that the Mask for mortals/Dirge for vampires way of doing things is actually the right one.

>Elder Ventrue have a hard time remembering why they should bother to show a convincing face to the kine. Over time, the Aloof Curse becomes the Apathetic Curse. The elder can only regain all his Willpower at once through his Mask when one of his Touchstones is present. If he has no Touchstones, he can’t regain any Willpower through his Mask at all.

That seems to imply it pretty heavily to me, at least. Though, as I say, I find that way of doing it to be kinda weird/nonsensical.

It might be true. I don't have books on me at the moment so can't check.Still does not make sense to me

No. Not yet.

>I wonder what the 16th gen vamps would function like.

From the preview chapters on the kickstarter page, we're given rules on 16th gen vamps, and they're basically just weaker and even more pitiable versions of the 14th/15th gen vampires in that they suffer from the same weaknesses (and the few benefits).

>Lethal damage from sunlight, and both stamina and fortitude can be used to soak it.
>Only 4/10 bloodpoints can be used for fueling disciplines, boosting physical stats or healing. The remaining 6/10 bloodpoints can only be spent to awaken each night. Any time a 16th gen has only 6 or less blood in their system, they can't do anything that requires blood (besides waking up each night).
>Any time they spend blood on healing/disciplines/stat-boosting, they must expend two blood points to obtain the effect a normal vampire would achieve with just one.
>Their disciplines can't go higher than the second dot.
>They cannot create a bloodbond, nor can they create or sustain ghouls with their blood.
>They can eat regular food and keep it down for a significant period of time, and their skin isn't as pale or cold as regular vampires'.
>They can create dhampirs by breeding with a mortal.

Literally catering to Twilight fans. Not my face pls.

>Do vampires grow pubic hair?

Vampires don't grow any hair, ever. If a vampire was bald when they got embraced, they are gonna be bald for all eternity (excluding any blood magic or vicissitude shenanigans).

Similarly, if they had a jungle of hair "down under" when they were embraced, then that's what they'll keep for the rest of their unlives.

They can still shave it or trim it as they wish, though. At the end of each night, it'll grow back, but with practice and modern convenciences (electric razors) it'd probably be done in minutes or less.

>Can't they spend blood to look alive and get their hearts pumping though? Would that help?

They can use Blush of Life to make themselves appear mortal; their skins will feel warm to the touch, they will begin to breathe again automatically, and may make their hearts APPEAR to beat again. As in, it's an illusion; their hearts are as dead as ever, but someone holding a hand to the vampire's chest will feel the skin beating outwards rhythmically. It's not their heart beating, it's just the vampire's body doing its best to blend in amongst prey.

So no, doing that wouldn't grow hair either.

>So what's the actual content?

Beckett's Jyhad Diary is basically a book that does an ACCEPTABLE job at tying up a lot of loose ends in the VtM mythos before V5 hits, and gives a lot of storyhooks to players who want to run potential Gehenna scenarios.

Note that most of these scenarios aren't the "APOCALYPSE WORLD ENDING THREAT, REEEE!" stuff we saw in VtM Revised, the threats are more like legendary chronicles that are designed to be ideas for how the players can help cancel Gehenna, rather than be forced to suffer through it. Postponing the end, as it were.

Actually, that doesn't really sound like Twilight vampires at all. They aren't hurt by sunlight, their powers would definitely be placed above two dots, they're super cold and very abnormally pale, and they can't eat food at all. They would hack it back up like a regular vampire.

The only thing is dhampir, I guess. But that's only because of a dumb thing on Meyer's part. Vampire chicks can't have babies because their bodies are frozen, but vampire guys can impregnate chicks because guys' bodies are the same forever.

>Literally catering to Twilight fans.

Sparkle sparkle.

But silliness aside, being able to walk in sunlight for a minute or so and probably only suffer a very severe case of sunburn isn't all that spectacular when you take into all the other drawbacks. I mean, the thinbloods aren't Blade; if they try to stay out in the sun indefinitely, they're still gonna burn to a crisp, it's just slower than a regular vamp. Which, if they're looking to kill themselves out of despair means that their death would be prolonged and even more painful.

Being a thinblood would suck balls.

If i can figure out how I'd host it through google.

Is this a fucking slot machine??

What would be a safe number of dice to be guaranteed to get at least 1 success in CoD?

3 dice averages out to 1 success, iirc.

Google chronicles of darkness dice probabilities on blogspot. 4chin considers the link spam.

You can use sendspace.

Not exactly, it's a digital slot machine.

>you can get three sux with nine dice most of the time
That's, what, mid-level?
