Penis13, soon to be crowned king of Veeky Forums league.

should I get BB2 whilst it is on sale?

Yes

I already have a lot of teams from pe-ordering bb2. What should I do if I want to just complete all the available teams?

Legendary and Team Pack only net me chaos dorfs, khemri, and and the official xpac. One is like 30 cents more expensive than the other.

Save your money and go play on FUMBBL, it's free (well, you can donate but you have to be a fucking retard to do that.)

But more people play bb2.

check steam and do the math yourself.

What is your least favourite kick-off result Veeky Forums? I think Riot can be pretty disruptive.

Is the Deathroller worth it for a new Dwarf team?

The deathroller isn't really worth it period, but if you want to spice up a pretty boring team it could be fun.

Damn shame.

If I play Chaos, will I have to go for the whole Pile-On, Claw murderfest to be good, or can I just do what I feel in my heart? I just want lots of mutations.
Otherwise I’ll just roll with Chaos Dwarfs.

In bb2 clawpomb is optimal but you can still play with block and mutations. Just you kay run into other killer chaos.

Riot when I want to leave and its t8/16. Perfect defense when its not mine

1 thrower, 2 gobbos.

Decent for a tabletop team?

Are you retarded?

A little bit, but it's never stopped me before.

What teams can incorporate the humans from the box game without too many more purchases?

I wanted to get a mino and four chosen then i remembered the lineman for chaos were beastmen...

You really don't want gobbos on the orc team. Like max 1 gobbo maybe if you have a troll. Where as orc linos are some of the best linos in the entire game.

Troll is a debatable player, some love him some hate him. Throwers should only be on an orc team at the very start basically as an anti wood elf player. As soon as a blitzer rolls a stat up or dodge the blitzer should become the new ball carrier.

Sculpt horns on them for Beastmen.
Use them as Marauders for Pact.
Just run a Human team with them for a challenge.

Just play a Chaos team with human linemen instead of linegoats. (and paint them all Chaos-y)

The Legendary package will give you everything so far. Given what you already have, you may as well just buy the expansion and manually buy the other two missing teams.

pro elves before christmas and four teams in 2018

Chaos Renegades have human linemen and are awesome

Just use two linemen instead. You need as much armour as possible and Orcs hate being outnumbered vs other teams.

Human Blitzer, double 5 roll, first roll. What would you take here, the +1 MA or +1 AV? Another Blitzer already has Guard so i'm inclined to build this particular one as a somewhat specialist Blitzer for offensive(Frenzy, Jugg etc.) if I take MA or defensive purposes(Stand Firm, Guard) if I take the AV.

AV is normally seen as a waste. I would go dodge instead. Makes him a pain for the enemy and he can get out of fights easier.

mighty blow

Its not so bad in bb case. Was always quiet.

Good, very good, maximum distance between crotches, minimized risk of accidental docking and ball contact.

This season's finals confirmed 100% straight despite reports of one or more sides possibly being gay.

What is the source for this photograph, by the way? We need to eliminate the possibility of contamination from one of the involved parties, which would throw the whole thing into question again.

Advice on what to use for primer?

I got some rustoleam from walmart that says it bonds to plastic but it seems to go on super thick.

What do you mean by Primer?

Congratulations to Wolbum and his Chaos Waste Overlords on winning Veeky Forums FUMBBL League IX!

I hope everyone who took part enjoyed themselves.

After a moment of reflection though we'll look at the future:

Veeky Forums FUMBBL League X is going to be more Xtreme than ever. In a fortnight's time we will have been been going for more than two years and hundreds of games.

As such, I hope it's going to be something of a celebration season. Coaches will be allowed to enter both the Veterans and Rookies divisions for the first time, with ANY* team from the past allowed back into the Veterans competition, and any Stunties being allowed into the Rookies alongside the usual fresh teams.

*excludes previously kicked/banned teams and ones that have played in non-Veeky Forums competitions.

GW primer is actually decent, if expensive. Also, you might just be using too much if it ends up too thick.

So I'll be opening sign-ups this weekend, Friday 10th and closing them on Saturday 18th, giving me a little time to sort out any issues with DoA coaches and the usual.

And if you hang out online with anyone who used to play with us, why not give them a shout?

>ANY* team from the past allowed back into the Veterans competition
I'm tempted

i know for a fact rustoleum works, unless it has many kinds of primer it should work if used correctly.Any primer is fine, but check in /wip/ for better infos.

Is a 5 Vampire starting roster viable or would I only be testing my masochism?

Bump

gw chaos black, wouldn't use anything else

no

The only GW spray primer I use is the silver one because other brands tend to repel water.

...

Well thats that plan out the window.

Why are there no Daemon teams.

Could easily turn those into a variety of undead with some bits or greenstuff or just the right paintjob

There is the khorne team. Also serious issues staying stable in the mortal realm for so long.

Daemons can't materialize for an hour at a time?

In real time, blood bowl games would take all of thirty minutes start to finish. On fumbbl they take an hour. In person they can be up to like 2 hours as people bullshit about stuff.

Unless you got some kind of daemonic wizard or a warp portal nearby sustaining them, every hit to a daemon hurts their ability to stay in the mortal realm. It takes focus and getting punched by an ogre will destroy that.

>30 mins

Would have thought at least 90 minutes.

>90 minutes
To think and do every move while calculating rolls takes about 2 hours.

If everything is happening as it would in the real world, meaning simultaneously, a drive would take a couple minutes tops.

Well youre forgetting the scrums and all that. I actually dont know how long a game is according to fluff but considering rugby takes 80 minutes, od estimate the same for blood bowl. Or 60 minutes for american football.

I cannot imagine it being as short as 30 or 15 minutes.

I took the MA because being able to go fast was a nice boon. He levelled up again and got an 11 so now I can take AGI boost and he'll be a solid runner in a pinch.

Good stuff. Sounds like a solid player.

Can beastmen be turned into runners instead of blockers? I don't wanna be that guy.

>In person they can be up to like 2 hours as people bullshit about stuff.
Four minutes per turn times thirty-six turns, plus approximately eight set-ups of four minutes (assuming 2 points per match), means the length of the match is capped at just under three hours. Even without bullshitting, two hours is a pretty normal time for a game. And that's if both players know the rules.

He meant in the fluff user. As in if Blood Bowl was actually being played.

Do you mean ball carriers? Yes. Give one sure hands and you got one.

Bump

Why play renegades over chaos or nurgle? Why play underworld over skaven?

It's a fact that any team that can field at least 1 troll and several goblins is coached by someone with a big penis.

Underworld rats get normal access to mutations, trolls are generally better than rat ogres since you only need to baby sit trolls, rat ogres shit the bed if you only want them to move.

>renegades over Chaos or Nurgle

Renegades have 3 Big Guys, a more diverse and wacky roster and technically are better at the start due to having an Ag4 Dark Elf. Also some fun shenanigans with Goblin and Troll or Ogre. While they share the name Chaos, they differ far more than Chaos do to Nurgle.

>Underworld over Skaven

Same reason you'd play a Stunty team over a normal team, a challenge and change of pace. Also Skaven's Rogre is a pretty bad Big Guy as far as Big Guys go.

Which team lets me get the most mutations?

Underworld or Chaos. Underworld gets to their mutations faster because there's more basic skill to start with in the blitzers, throwers, goblins, and because in some cases there's nothing better for them to take early on like Extra Arms on the throwers or Claw on the Troll. They also like using a lot of mutations that Chaos doesn't use as much - Two Heads, Big Hand, Tentacles.

But Chaos is the better team in the long run.

There is only like what 6 mutation teams?

Chaos (start with no skills but get mutations on singles)
Nurgle (same as chaos, but big guy needs doubles for mutations)
Chaos Renegades (pact) (same as nurgle but has 3 big guys also not in BB2 and fumbbl doesn't have the chaos orc yet)
Underworld (has skills, big guy gets mutations on singles, shitty team though).
Skaven (mutation on doubles)
Chaos Dwarves (Chorfs) (mutations on doubles, but only for the 6 chaos dwarf blockers)

>morg n throg

UW is definitely the best team for having fun with mutations.

Played Blood Bowl 2 on PC. How accurate is it compared to tabletop version? Outside of Dawn of War, is there any vidya comparable to regular Warhammer FB or AoS?

As of now, on BB2 Legendary edition ther really arent that many differences from the tabletop experience. especially since they re-instated optionalising the beneficial skills for edge cases. (like dodge, tackle etc.)

For fun, plus they do different things. Underworld has acess to mutations on everyone iirc

>phil lewis
You just know he slays pussy.

i'm rather new to this and have mostly been just playing test matches with a couple friends to learn the ropes on fumbbl
what do i need to know if i am to sign up for a league? what are the general rules and unspoken rules i should take note of?
if it makes a difference i mostly play the big lizards and orcs
what are the divisions and differences between them?

>what do i need to know if i am to sign up for a league?

Be prepared for the time commitment - online leagues tend to move faster than real life ones, for instance ours you are expected to be able to arrange and play your match within the span of a week.

>what are the general rules and unspoken rules i should take note of?

Don't be a cunt, bad luck happens to everybody eventually so there's no need to get too salty, don't be a slow playing fuck (or at least get faster).

>if it makes a difference i mostly play the big lizards and orcs

You'll be fine, people don't look kindly on Lizardmen but it is what it is.

>what are the divisions and differences between them?

League is free play and individually organized tournaments. You can make an [L] team and use it against any other [L] team who agrees to play with you (or find an opponent in Gamefinder), or you can apply it to a League and participate in structured matches. [R] is similar to [L] except it will contribute to your coach ranking on fumbbl if you feel like growing your epenis, and ultimately both coaches have to agree to the match. [B] is like [R] except there is no filtering - you will be matched against the closest team in TV rating to yours, which means only the higher tier teams tend to be played there.

Custom leagues and rosters also exist and fall under the [L] umbrella, as that is the only division that allows for custom rulesets.

I ran into a strange situation in my tabletop league recently. For sone reason they think the ball bounces twice if it lands in an empty square. I tried to point this out in the rulebook its one but they interprated it as two.

How can I highlight this isnt the case without causing a ruckus? The comissioner is also convinced this is the case.

Bump

Why do people not like Lizardmen?

has GW any news on releasing any teams or are they don't give a shit due to 40K?
( I haven't read anything from the comments above)

They were surprised with BB2016 success and now plan a release schedule every quarterly than 1 per half year.

They've got the best combination of strength and mobility. Their lack of skills hampers them a bit early on, but once the Saurus get their skills the team becomes very difficult to deal with. And in previous editions that would take a fairly long time, but the new MVP rules (previously, it was completely random, now you can narrow it down to three players, meaning your Saurus get all the MVPs and skill up much faster) alleviate that immensely.

What's more, the team is kind of a magnet for new players, who look at the team concept and understandably think it looks very cool. Unfortunately the team also teaches a lot of bad habits - relying heavily on a strength advantage means they haven't learned assists properly, overall average to high movement means they haven't had to learn time management, etc. New players move to other teams and bring their bad habits with them, do poorly, experienced coaches get annoyed by new coaches who aren't learning anything being carried by how forgiving Lizardmen are.

I'm about to do this. Started with Lizards and I've been playing them in the last 2 leagues at the store. Next season I'm playing Necros most likely. How do I know if I have bad habits?

Do you expect your players to make dodges? Do you feel one of your front line should be able to block one of the opponents with little risk? If you had an elf, should he block another elf in front of him or dodge away? Play a few games on BB2 with a human team, and see how many turnovers you have. That should tell you.

>going from lizards to necro

Now don't get me wrong, those are 2 of the best teams in the game once you get above dwarf tv but are too low for murder chaos. But the skill floor on Necro is one of the higher skill flaws, as in they are one of the harder teams to play as.

All their players move at different speeds, no more than 2 positional of a tip. Start with very few skills, wolves are st 3 frenzy so you really need block on them and guard on everyone that can get it. Fleshies are kinda expensive for fresh players and need block really before guard so you need to get them to 16 spp before they can really help the wolves. Zombs are only good at getting punched in the face. Ghouls are kinda shit and have av7 no regen, and wights are slow and need to get guard, tackle, and mb because otherwise who will?

They are a good team, just a lot harder to manage than lizards which only really have the weakness of lack of skills/rerolls at tv1000, and having to deal with leaping elves.

Not him but of the three undead, who start strongest and who ends strongest? Do Vamps become good at any point?

No, but they are some of the most fun I ever had in an organised league.Taking teams like Vampires in a persistent league is stupid. but in a league with no more than 10-12 weeks their super human SPP hog vampires can really become peerless bb players in a way some other teams struggle to match because they end up splitting the SPP around too much.

That and hypnotic gaze is just so much fun to play with.

Please respond.

What roster did you start with?

They're probably confusing ball scatter with ball bounce.

An inaccurate pass scatters the ball twice, then it bounces once when it lands.

Undead certainly have the strongest start -Mummies are just that good. Necro I would say gets better in the long run because they have an answer in the Werewolves to the av9 bash teams that start removing anything av8 or less on your team with mass MB + Guard, and they're also handy against elf teams who would love nothing more than to leave your ma4 zombies and golems in the dust.
