Not old enough for resculpt, if you want to ask that. O-Yoroi was the first computer sculpted TAG after really long dry spell of big robots afrer Marut.

Going to play against Onyx Contact Force for the first time this week. What sort of surprise cockfag elements do they tend to pack?

I thought I remember seeing someone say that the new JSA starter was in the process of getting completed. And it would make sense if CB keeps up the trend of resculpting old sectorial starters in desperate need of it.

At the moment we have these starters in need of a resculpt:

>Merovingians
>Shasvastii
>Qapu Khalki
>Japanese Sectorial
MO is confirmed for happening in January or February, and MRRF and Shasvastii probably have to wait for their sectorial updates. That only leaves JSA and QK on the chopping block, so both are probably going to happen sometime next year; I'm predicting JSA in spring and QK in summer, if the rumor was correct.

Oh, and there's vanilla/Vedic Aleph, but that's also probably waiting for the Vedic sectorial we're never going to get. Fuck everything.

Don't forget vanilla Ariadna. That thing is old as fuck.

Are the combi rifles and chain rifles on the Shaolin Monks in the current style or are they old and chunky? I can't quite tell from the official pictures.

They're Pre-CAD so they're older style, but they do hold up rather well, and chain rifles and combi-rifles look the same as the newer CAD, just bigger sometimes.

No one cares about the combi-rifle version so it's all good.

Keisotsu look like fucking garbage m8. Other jap stuff is mostly fine, but the starter really needs a do-over.

I hate hakamari's look and wish he looked even more like a skinny hoodrat domaru. Keitso models are old but what sort of update is needed? They shouldnt really be even top 5 coolest models in JSA. Them looking slightly underwhelming almost seems like their shtick.

They don't need to look incredibly cool, they just need to fit the modern scale and not look like dogshit.

Haramaki could probably be redone simply because they're small and always next to the oversized Domaru, but they probably won't be for a while.

Haramaki aren't too small, modern Domaru are too big! It was a scaling error that was too expensive to fix when they noticed it.

But I can't put my finger on why I don't like Hakamari. It might purely be that Corvus got better at photographing their models but for some reason these power-armored samurai don't pop for me. And thats a sentence I never thought Id say.

I mean, I know what the new classified is, but if I draw "retroengineering" and go like, "yeah, so this is this new mission", it's pretty awkward to check the document without looking suspicious.

Uniquely, the HVT: Kidnapping cards don't all have the same art, unlike the other ten scenarios. This actually makes it slightly harder to tell at a glance what card you've drawn.

In some scenarios you have [Designated Target] HVTs, which are enemy troopers. The top-ranked player at mid-season gets to choose which faction gets the Improved DT HVT profile (+1 PH, +1 ARM, +3 BTS).

This file is basically all of the S9 book, minus the ~8 pages of fluff and the list of winners from S8.

Hi guys, I am starting infinity and have Operation Icestorm and Beyond, PanO. If I were looking to expand the collection from this what would you recommend? Played my first 2 games yesterday, after 4 years of not playing any wargames (stopped playing WMC a year before MKIII because I moved to study in another city) and I loved it, the game was really fun and I love the models.

PanO has a lot of options, what's your playstyle?

First two games, so I can't say I have one right now. I did enjoy having absurd stats and just gunning the enemy down with high armour HI tho.

Crocmen are nice.

You should probably try an Aquila Guard/Swiss Guard if you love HI gunship. The first has a more defensive approach, the latter it's the champion of alpha strikes if equipped with a ML

Does camo cause -MOD against speculative fire attacks?

No. Range and spec fire's own mod are the only ones.

what about cover?

Oh yeah, there's also cover mods but unless they're a sapper or have nanoscreen you can just position the template so they don't have cover against it.

Templates never give cover bonus to the target.

That's just the ARM bonus after the hit. Cover between an impact template and the target still gives -3 BS.

Though of course that's irrelevant if you choose to shoot the spot next to your target with spec fire instead of the target itself.

Dronbot Remotes. You might even want two boxes.
Auxilia and Armbots (either) are good too.
Nisse HMG and/or Black Friar for additional MSV2.
Support Pack for Doc/Engi and Palbots.
Croc Man for infiltration. Maybe Mulebots for EVO hacking and 8pts Baggage Order.
Swiss Guard already gives you a godlike heavy hitter, but you may want to consider a TAG in future.

Avoid most Knights and Bolts, Fusilier box is okay, but not essential.

is the beyond box "worth" it for a pano player that doesn't player nomads? the swiss is a good unit, but I can't get my head around using a bolt medik or a baghmari.

That's a Kamau, not a BM. They're both decent either way, cheap mimetic HMGs.

The Bolt is only good for proxying something else though unless you go into NCA.

Top-heavy. Sounds like a bit of an uphill battle, though I suppose it depends on how you outfit the Bagh-Mari. Could work in some scenarios, but it would be hard, as nearly everything in that list is an order-hog (Bagh-Mari are a bit too expensive to use only as defensive cheerleaders).
