> FURST FOR DA BAD MOONZ

FIRST FOR LIONNNMNNN

I strongly disagree with that statement, OP ! Don't lump us nidfag Veeky Forumsents with those silly trolls.

>I2
>I gay

...

Do we know what the battleforces will be?

I miss I2posting

just wondering

Anyone have a copy of the new nid rules yet?

Me too.

So what are good strats for Marines these days? Just starting them and no one plays them in my area so exp from 0laying against them. I do want to roll with Iron Hands for fluff reasons.

I fucking wish Melee Guard was still a thing
Or Shooty Orks

So next codex is for the gay marines.

Fucking boring! Anything else would be more interesting than another colour coded rules for marines

cheer up friend. Did you know that lictors finally have a niche in that they can guarantee a 4+ roll for genestealer cultist units arriving from cult ambush?

>t.Carnac

Because they have now deep strike? And this is how deep strike works.

I like how the grip on the wrist changes from steps 1-2 and then back from steps 2-3, meaning any guardsmen actually trying this (and somehow strong enough to stop an ork's swing in step 1) would find the move doesn't work as described. It's a nice touch.

What looks better? The chain-bayonetts or the regular knife ones?

Melee Guard you say...

Lightning claws

just imagine a pike formation of imperial guards and all the pikes have flamers attached to them

Nidfags still worse than carnac.
And Swarmcuck is even more cuck than Be'lacuck.

>the monolith will come at you with his Monolith
What sorcery is this?

You mean flamers with bayonets?

>not bayonets with flamers
Shit weapon would not requisition munitorum

no bayonets with flamers with 8 inch range from the tip of the pole

You can't put claws on a gun.

when are you just going to let it go carnac?

...

but you can put a gun on a claw

You're not trying hard enough

>not equipping your fists and claws with guns
>laughingloyalists.jpeg

When will these Monoliths ever learn...

>shooty orks
Don't worry, the ork codex will include rules for the new klan Sonork, who adapted their tactics after deciding daemons "ain't no good for choppin', dey just dissolve when you krump them" and so destroy daemon armies at range. They'll get bonuses to shooting, and also their weirdboyz will be able to suck psychic energies away from the enemy. Fluffwise, klan Sonork have set off to push daemonic incursions out of the galaxy and destroy the rift "so den everywun left in da galaxy will be worth fightin' against".

>Carnac
>calling Be'lakor, Be'lacuck
>nothing about muh big role in end of times

see Carnac's hatred of nids has transcended his love of chaos. He'll even shill for necrons or other factions, so long as they have any fluff at all that one ups nids.

You forgot the big choppy that ignores invuln saves

What black magic are you using?

And real Carnac is not even here.

You can kind of get melee Guard by playing Renegades, but the problem is that Renegades are complete shit as an army.

Behold the magnum opus of the eldar intellect.

Gun claw!

melee guard is a thing now with GSC!

...

I hate the chain fists in 40k, they're such a disappointment.

When I first heard "chain fist" I though of basically the knuckles in a fist being a chainsaw. Like a chainsaw version of brass knuckles.

IT'S THE DEVIL'S WORK.

Well, traitors got this and older chain-fists replaced the middle finger with the chainsaw part. Does that help?

Daily reminder that scum sucking Nidfags lied.

Kronos does not eat Chaos corrupted worlds let alone daemon worlds. It's only function is just to obliterate these places to prevent the spread of Chaos.

The lore calls Chaos the anathema of the Tyranids. Tyranids cannot devour the daemons and avoid eating anything corrupted by Chaos as a general rule. Because of this, Kronos can only sustain its losses in its campaign against Chaos thanks to the pre-digested worlds that he other Hive Fleets leave as offerings for Kronos. This counts as lore rape since for the longest time Tyranid fleets have been shown to treat their other brother fleets with hostility.

As for the splinter fleets spilling from the Great Rifts and other Warpstorms, these are the survival remnants of the tendrils that have been dragged into the Warp when the Great Rift burst into being.

Best legion by far

...

Bad Moons are the shooty clan.

Ah yes, of course.

Honest question: got tyranids any better? If so, why?

I've seen the leaks and I'm rather underwhelmed..
I still love them

Fuck off with this shitty pasta.

>This counts as lore rape since for the longest time Tyranid fleets have been shown to treat their other brother fleets with hostility.

they adapted

Daily reminder that you are getting mad at a faction in a british miniature-pushing game having specialists for beating another faction in this same game, all of this on an anonymous bamboo-eating image board.
Nice pasta btw.

>Tyranid fleets have been shown to treat their other brother fleets with hostility.
They fight each other as a method to determine which fleet has developed the most effective adaptation suite, not out of any actual dislike. They're all the same being when close together, remember? Two fleets meet, they fight, the winner absorbs the vast majority of the loser and any cool tricks that the loser might have. End Result: A very slightly smaller combined Hive Fleet with all the tricks and genetic information of both "parent fleets" together. No reason that the Hive Mind couldn't plan cohesive strategies outside the "Enforced natural selection" thing.

Bamboo shoots are legit fucking delicious.

Daily reminder literally no one cares what you think.

Unless your meta is Imperial Fists, Tyranids and Death Guard. Yay me!

In 5th ED, 6th ED, and early 7th Ed GW pushed a Tyranid vs Necrons angle with the Silent King uniting of the dynasties as against the Tyranids being a major arc for the Necrons.

In late 7th ED and now 8th ED, this appears to have been dropped as there is NO mention of the Necron vs Tyranid rivalry. Instead the little Necron lore we have has the Necrons uniting against Chaos instead. In this new codex the Necrons had the honour of being mentioned only 2 times and both of them do nothing to emphasis any sort of rivalry or special hostility between the Necrons and Tyranids. A large portion of the codex is dedicated to showing the rivalry between Chaos and the Tyranids (page after page). Describing both of them as two rival super predators that will not rest until the other is driven off or destroyed.

Can any justify this?

Adapted

Can anyone fucking state where they are getting this fluff info? Otherwise it's just bullshit.

>he says when each thread has anons caring what I think

Seriously, Nidfags BTFO themselves here with their tall tales.

How do I nidzilla cheaply? I heard that it's the most budget-friendly way to play 1000pts nids

No nid and crons codex yet?

Where the FUCK is the Ork Codex lads

Dude, youtube has reviewers opening the codex and showing the contents. The Beast of Wars (IIRC) channel showed most of the lore pages in the book. Just pause and zoom in.

>being so buttblasted about this

Tyranids don't care much for Necrons. They gain nothing by fighting them so they usually just avoid them. Only Necrons care for Nids. It's a one-sided rivarly. I guess if GW would continue that thing we'll see it in the new Necron Codex. And even then it's only a single Necron faction that care about nids. I don't think Imothek has ever fought them.

Not a troll, what do you mean?

take some rippers for troops, fill every other possible slot with monsters.
Wait for the codex to have the final point costs and all that jazz.

>He'll even shill for necrons

You realise that's why he's called Carnac in the first place, right?

Probably just buy two of the new Start Collecting boxes and a few other gribblies to pad it out.

Yes I can : shut up Carnac.

Who is Carnac?
Why everyone hate him/it?

You tried this before, fuck off back to /pol/.

>Didnt win anything in AoP
Feels bad man

>They gain nothing by fighting them

And they gain nothing from fighting Chaos and yet they are evolving themselves and expending resources to defeat Chaos.

Seriously, the Necrons are being shafted here with writers not knowing what to do with them.

He is a slavfag of /40kg/

He is very special shitposter.

But now everyone who don't like tyranids is called Carnac.

It's the sliding scale of bad guy.
Chaos is the biggest bad guy so they fight the good guys mostly and don't care about the other bad guys.
Nids are probably the second biggest bad guy, so they have to fight chaos to prove that they're tough too.
Necrons are the same but for Nids.

Those are yours ? Don't worry, they look great. Also, respect for playing Deldar.

What was your list? Dark light spam again?

You can do it with Catachan Regiment Docrtine. Add a "Priest" which could be modeled as a NCO, take Straken, and then go with what you like for fluff.

There’s always next year.
Base your flyer bases. They look more appealing to the eye.

>And they gain nothing from fighting Chaos

Are you a drooling retard? Chaos want to eat the same thing. They are competing for the same resources.

My list? 3 raiders with kabalites in them with splinter cannon, 2 squads of 5 blasterborn in venoms, 5 scourges with darklances, 2 archons in venom
So yeah darklight spam
This got first

And the Necrons want to enslave the things that those two want to eat.

I don't see why the Necrons should be pushed out of this threesome.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY (nice looking, tho. Guess he deserved it)

Every year its this exact same asian guy with dark angels who comes in with golden daemon tier board and we never see him in the shop ever.
Its magical

It's not a threesome.
Chaos is the number one bad guy, and the rest try to fight them to earn street cred.
When the Necron codex comes out you can bet they will be fighting against Chaos.
Unlike the Tyranids they might actually have a chance since they can create pylons though.

I really don't understand why thats allowed, you'd think GW of all people wouldn't want people who never shop there to enter especially with the same entry every year.

Does he just keep submitting the same angels?

they look nice but that would really be lame to enter the same tourney with the same exact models over and over.

Hey Ork players. Miss me and wish I was a Strategem yet?

working on getting a painted 6k together for a game against a buddy running imperials. Should I bother running a Killbursta tank? I fear his shadowsword will just delete it.

If you can't understand why the thing that want to eat people see the other thing that want to eat people as a competitor while not seeing the thing that want to just make people build huge statues as such I think you have bigger problems than not understanding 40k fluff.

Meta says that the optimal loadout for Harlequin Troupes and Troupe Master is for them all to have an Embrace and Fusion Pistol

But since there are only two of each per box and I can't find any bitz sites that have more, what would be the optimal loadout with what you actually get in the box?

> You also get 6 swords of two distinct designs, 6 shuriken pistols, 6 harlequin’s kisses, 2 harlequin’s embraces, 2 harlequin’s caresses, 2 neuro disruptors and 2 fusion pistols. There is a power sword as well should you wish to upgrade your Troupe Master.

Well, so I can just buy 2 new SC boxes and 3 more boxes of stealers to have some tunnel fun and buffing my dudes with broodlords? That's my current list idea but I don't think that's the cheapest way to play nids desu - it would cost me nearly as much as swarm box + old start collecting

Get your hands on the old or new Start Collecting (or both) and sprinkle in another TMC or support units like Venomthropes (can run them all as cheap HQ Neurothropes in a Supreme Command for extra CP), Hive Guard for dedicated ranged attackers (which stacks well with Kronos adaptation), and grab another box of cheap troops if you can so you have more CP.

Personally, I'd get the new Start Collecting, Zoans to use as Neuros, couple boxes of Horms, and a Lictor. Can play Kraken or Kronos if you like.
