B) Hey, thanks for finally updating the template!
When Arcadia freezes over
So, by the end of the week?
... You've never been to the Realm of the Duchess of Frozen Tears, have you?
I haven't planed my vacations yet
In Arcadia the vacation plans you.
Soviet Arcadia sounds like a game hook
You've been trapped by True Fae pretending to be Stalin. You escape his Arcadian Gulag and emerge as......
Chav (Wizened)?
No, not Stalin. That would be silly. Fae seldom mimic historical figures, they prefer stories.
The Big Brother, the Glorious All Seeing Leader of the Party, the Uncontested and Wise Ruler of Oceania, etc. etc. etc.
I can dig it. He would have changelings act out as members of his cabinet and then purge those who dissatisfy him
Any Indians here care to shed some perspective on Ravnos, in general? I haven't looked too much at them, but having finished Beckett's Jyhad Diary I now feel like reading through the Revised Clanbook for them.
What is the difference between becoming an Archmaster and Ascending in oWoD?
>It does have the advantage that Disciplines don't cause Paradox, but it still wouldn't usually be worth it.
Due to the xp costs, or other things?
Prefer the original dirty thieving gypo bastards.
Do you like the gypsies book?
Been a long time since ive read it. For its time i was meh. Today SJW faggots scream about how offensive it is.
Boo hoo.
Both combined. Actually, the immortality might be worth it if that's the sort of thing you want.
Look at this mighty brave reactionary contrarian who boldly fights against any slight made against him.
Just because "seejeewees" call it shit doesn't stop it being shit, but go you and your misanthropy.
Might be stepping bit too much on toes of Exharch with this title but it should be descriptive of Big Brother without being too much of a callout to 1984:
>All Seeing Hegemon of Oppressive Conformity
Any examples of the other issues?
Weird things to note:
The avatar can get addicted to vampire blood.
The beast is part of your soul as well.
Did i say it was great? No i said it was meh?
Where were you back in 94 when it was published. Probably still being flushed into yer dads hanky.
This sounds like something straight out of Exalted
Well, Exalted does have a lot of references to cWoD.
To be honest from my glimpse, Exalted Fey are much more like Gentry than Fey from Dreaming.
I know about ebon dragon and scarlet empress. Was there anything else?
Isn't the Gentry based on Exalted Fey? (Who are maybe just Excrucians from Nobilis with a grim fairy tales coat of paint)
A bunch of stuff. Some of it is similar. Other just share names as reference.
Some examples:
There is a Luna and Gaia.
There is a Malfeas in Exalted.
There are Neverborn in Exalted.
Some stuff about the underworld is similar.
Some Infernal powers reference Kuei-Jin powers, I think some actually look very similar.
From what I recall you can have semi decent fae in exalted(or at least one that can behave)
Yeah, you are probably right since CtL was probably published after Exalted featured Unshaped and Raksha.
Curious question as I don't know much about vtm. 3 mandarins took on single Ante and managed to stal him for 3 days. Would methuselahs be able to do something like that? Are mandarins and methuselah comparable in power?
One of my group is a massive indiaboo and she loves Ravnos despite hating vampires in general.
Confirmed that Geist 2e's playable sub-splat is ghosts.
How do subterranean old cities look and work? Would the roman city below a medieval town look like Old New York where the mutants live in Futurama? Or would mud and earth cover everything not tunneled?
>indiaboo
What exactly do you mean by that?
She likes indian movies or something?
The latter, realistically. Although for style you can have some open areas and clearings.
Yes, a lot. She's also an indian dance buff of sorts and likes the culture in general.
So if she hates vampires in general, what splats do you play?
Would the town being in a desert (so under sand) change anything? Probably just make it easier to "flood" with sand I guess...
I'll probably limit myself to the insides of buildings for open spaces, then.
Bodivistas are obviously 1/3 as powerful and 1 antediluvian, so no they arnt equal I'm power to a Methuselah, remember a methuselah can be a very old 12th gen
Kuei-Jin?
Lots of tunnels of varying sizes and states of decay linking some smaller rooms, catacombs, cisterns, abandoned sewers, and the occasional bigger room or even natural cave.
vimeo.com
That are just squinty eyed vampires, originally called the Gaki
We play Masquerade and Dark Ages quite a lot, just not with her. I've played Werewolf, Mage and Changelling with her. She probably plays any oWoD splat except vampire, really. And non-wod games of course.
Out of curiosity. What is her gripe with vampire
Beckett sure gets his fair share of vampire booty.
Beckett looks and acts like a type of guy who would get a lot of undead pussy.
Apparently, a lot of people think him and Sascha Vykos should just hatefuck each other to get all the enmity out of their system.
who was that guy a few threads back who signed up to an changeling ERP?
I wish artwork wasn't so small in resolution.
She thinks that Masquerade brings the worst of people. Lots of backstabing, pvp, power-grabing and edgyness often for no apparent reason. Can't say she's wrong, but politics and backstabbing is what makes Vampire cool inho to be honest.
It's weird because Masquerade is the one game I've found girls to like more in the Veeky Forums world.
...
...
...
I am waiting with anticipation for his return.
...
...
I see there is some solid art in the book. From what I hear from people book seems solid.
On edgyness I can atest. Local fandom in late 90s-early 2000s was filled with edgelords and this is what drove me and some people I know away from masquarade
That's less readable than Mage 1e.
What would be some other issues caused? Other than the obvious stuff like burning in sunlight.
I'd say the thing that makes Vampire cool is the Disciplines.
Have you seen Mummy the Curse
There's a few things I'd nitpick, like using "she" for default PCs or using 'they' when speaking about Vykos, but eh, they're minor shit I don't really care about all that much in the long run so long as everything else is fine. Which it. Apart from Vlad Tepes being bisexual.

Monday Notes today... Monday Notes are today... Should I hold my breath or be cynical and spare myself of a disappointment?
...
user, no one cares for your gender politics.
...
This does not bother me as long as the fluff itself is good. So I guess the book is fine
Can we get someone to share Beckett's jyhad diary?
You clearly do, given that you replied, rather than ignore me outright.
It's a reminder to not be what you disparage.
Even then, people asked about the book, not your opinion of pronouns.
It was already shared, user.
No one asked about your opinion on my post either, yet here you are.
...
But all splats have cool super powers
...
...
For nMage, what are some good Obsessions if you don't know what the game will be about?
Thank you user.
>I want to be an ass, but not be called out for being an ass
C'est la vie.
I can relate to this.
My group wanted to play Vampire, but I flat out vetoed it because people were already at each other's throats, and Vampire is damned good at exacerbating tensions between people, sadly.
However, shit has been resolved, so I am putting together a one shot to see who is interested in it, I've run Geist and Werewolf in the past.
>someone doesn't like something
>that makes them an ass
How do you live in the actual, real world without sperging out on a daily basis?
It isn't supposed to be readable, the actual letter is below that image
Learn more about the supernal/fallen world.
Get up in the order hierarchy.
Find a gf.
Edge is pretty much core, one of the central mechanics is a balancing act choosing to do evil so you don't do worse in frenzy. And you learn things about people when they're making monsters. I still blame groups more than the game.
Is there a reason why such hard condition as Notoriety doesn't give beats?
How can I suck my own penis using every arcana.
I'm pretty sure they can be other types of asians as well.
The books have been using 'she' as a default pronoun for so long I don't even notice it. Haven't they always done it, actually?
I think they were using mostly 'they' as neutral for the most part, but then later on changed it, for whatever reason.
>you replied, so you do care!
Literally one of the dumbest retorts. Yes, they cared enough to move their fingers around a bit. Sure showed them.
Does Infrastructure Condition have any in-game effect?
Life : Making yourself dexterous enough or your penis big enough to do it
Death : Ghost Blowjob yourself
Spirit : Same as above but with spirit ephemera
Fate : Add enough reachs to the Miracle spell
Mind : Do it in your Oneiros
Prime : Cast Words of Truth and say that you sucked your own penis
Space : Picture related
Time : Go back in time and have some oral sex with your past self.
Matter : Create a blade and cut your dick off, then suck it.
Forces : Rip your penis off and suck it
>Life : Making yourself dexterous enough or your penis big enough to do it
The former is suitable. The latter could cause issues.
>Matter : Create a blade and cut your dick off, then suck it.
>Forces : Rip your penis off and suck it
Anyway that doesn't involve mutilation?
Matter can create a synthetic mouth construct to blow you off. Forces could generate a sucking force gentle enough to fellate without injury.
>Does someone who shitposts on /wodg/ function as a non-autistic human.
user you sort of answered your own question there.
Each of those is 1 arcane beat when you pull it off. Hows that for an Obsession!
How do you do it in ascension?
They've been doing it since at least 2nd Ed Masquerade. I'd prefer 'they' since it's been the correct form for referring to an ambiguously gendered or non-gendered subject since before Shakespeare, but whatever, it's not a big deal. It's definitely not part of the current agenda, WW have always been doing it.
Ask your ST if they'll pretty please let you do it and then argue them to death when they say no.
