In the last thread, I did read in disbelief an user praising the deathshroud. I am a DG player not using Morty, I assumed the DS terminators were an overpriced, niche unit for Morty only. Am I wrong for overlooking them?
Camden Walker
Hey /40kg/, I'm finally gonna spend some cash and get into plastic crack, but I'm stuck between Necrons, Dark Eldar and Tyranids. >Who's the most fun to paint/play? >Are any of them fucking horrible this edition?
Thomas Morris
my dudes > your dudes
Noah Ward
Those bastards can roll over Knights in a single turn. It's all about how you use them, rather than what their rules let them do. Dirty bomb your enemy. Mob them with cultists and poxwalkers, so much so that assault and rapid fire weapons count for dick, then drop in the DS behind them with a beefy HQ. Proceed to eat face.
Nathaniel Morales
Necrons are the worst in all those categories.
Justin Powell
Wow, rude.
Zachary Morris
nids are supposed to be getting their codex soon, so I would wait until it comes out and go for them. Most of the armies with codicies have been more competitive.
They are also easy to paint and can be made to look good relatively easily.
Gabriel Harris
>nids are supposed to be getting their codex soon It's already on pre-order and basically all the info is leaked.
Joshua Campbell
That is a fucking awesome costume. I'm not he, and I also think the Deathshroud are shit, but they are 100% NOT for Mortarion. They're way too slow to keep up with his 12", and their main ability explicitly excludes Morty, Deathshroud are exactly what the lore sells them as, Morty's eyes and ears. If you are hellbent on using them, have them guard your weaker Lord, Sorcerer, or go on a footslogging rampage with Typhus or another LoC.
Landon Turner

Connor Howard
Jokes aside, what should I get after the SW start collecting to round out to 1000pts? Some user asked about Deathwatch SC + Dark Imperium last thread. Would it work here too? Also how are Space Yiffs doing in the 8th edition?
Daniel Ramirez
I suppose they are a "all or nothing" unit, perhaps? Like you have to use 5-6 of them and 1-2 characters to take the maximum advantage from the situation...
Luke Hill
For Yvraine and her husbando Bobby G.
William Hill
Let's play a game, fa/tg/uys
>Best chapter >Worst chapter >Needs more lore chapter
For me: >Blood angels >Yiffers >Howling Griffons
Carter Anderson
Since you're saying chapter rather than faction I'll say:
>Lamenters >Space Yiffs >Lamenters
Joshua Powell
They're niggers, just like you
Jack Peterson
>Like you have to use 5-6 of them and 1-2 characters to take the maximum advantage from the situation... I guess, if you suck. Build your army with the goal of crippling as many units as possible, as many HQ as possible and giving out as many debuffs as possible. You're sure to win.
Caleb Barnes
They've done a ton of damage for me. Only used them twice so far. 1st time they destroyed a Redemptor Dreadnaught in 1 fight phase. Today they destroyed a rhino.
They basically get the same number of attacks as power fist terminators but without the -1 to hit. Also Plague Weapons.
Very killy imo.
Jaxon Carter
Is there anything worse than a furry nigger?
Jason Wood
>chapter Snooooooooooooore
John Cooper
>Howling Griffons >Marines Malevolent >Raven Guard Right, but you could spend around the same amount of points for Blightlords and get double the amount of attacks against the knight. Not to mention trading in those shit-tacular hand-flamers for actual guns.
Landon Kelly
Id go with Dark Eldar. They look like fun to paint and look like fun to play
Christian Bailey
>get double the amount of attacks against the knight Less likely to get kills though.
Jacob Smith
A gay, pedophile, furry nigger.
Dylan Murphy
Sorry this is a very generic statement and not of help at all. See here as an example >Build your army with the goal of crippling as many units what the fuck does it even mean? You mean morale bombs?
Jonathan Campbell
2 furry niggers
Easton Nguyen
Tyranids are awesome, codex is great and there's a good range of viable fleet tactics. Almost all their range is beautiful plastic with a unified scale and aesthetic. Go with them.
Justin Ramirez
Blightlords have 1 more attack if comparing 3 DS vs 5 BL.
Also DS weapons are better.
Blightlords are for shooting mostly. They have decent melee sure, but it's not their main thing.
Elijah Rogers
How many did you use?
Jaxson Gutierrez
>imperial fists >space yiffs >mentors
Jordan Rodriguez
Are the Lamenters still around or are they an extinct Chapter?
Cameron Nelson
Fun to paint depends on your preference Easiest is Necrons Complex is DE Most colour variety is Nids
>Are any of them fucking horrible this edition? Don't hedge things on rules. Rules change, your models won't change into something better. Buy what you want to build.
Camden Harris
>Space Wolves >Dark Angels >Exorcists
Ethan Wilson
>tfw win my first game with pure primaris
Samuel Johnson
a gay, trans, pedophile, furry, brony nigger
Xavier Nguyen
>Hurr 40k community is so fuckin cancerous - we need new not-waacfagging players >le ebin nigger replies
Caleb Taylor
My marines have green weapons, should they have blue or purple plasma coils?
Joshua Brooks
Drop morale, boost your own. Double tap with rapid fire at 18" with DG rapid fire weapons to draw the enemy in to their own rapid fire range and then pin them with terminators and other TEQ's. Use Myphitic Blight-Haulers for improved saves for everyone in range. Tarpit with everything you can. Remember your rerolls bla bla bla
Brody Rodriguez
3.
10 str 8 attacks is nothing to scoff at.
Asher Young
I don't think they are officially extinct, but I'm pretty sure they are all dead apart from the dreadnought in deathwatch.
Obviously for me its >Da Orks >Dem pointy-eared eldar gits >Da greenskins could always use more o' dis lore fing. Lore's like dakka roight?
DIS LAD GETS IT!
Joshua Morales
The points are limited, you cannot do the three of them. Good termies, good double tapping plagues+Mephitic, good swarms. If you want decent antitank and drones, you can choose only 2 of these, tops.
Jackson Sanders

You're a big guy
Ian Martin
>Best They're all the same, they're all boring >Worst They're all the same, they're all boring >Needs more lore None of them, space marines should be squatted
Mason Richardson
>Chaos >Guard >I wish Necrons had more character-developing lore and less "and then these fuckin robots woke up and killed shit" lore to be honest
Camden Jones

Josiah Long
For youya grot
Benjamin Bell
40kg is toxic shite most of the time
Parker Robinson
A forgeworld customer.
Jeremiah Carter
>tfw Tau keep getting nerfed
Nathan Thomas
>Imperial Fists >Space Wolves >Sons of the Phoenix (combining the best of Dark Angels, Black Templars, Blood Angels, Emperor's Fist, and Word Bearers all in one shiny new Primaris package)
Gabriel Collins
I dunno, a big guy just made a veiled reference to wulfen... I think?
Plus 'ebin nigger' replies are always good for a laugh (even if you're on the receiving end)
Adrian Scott
>he doesn't convert his own characters
Nicholas Phillips
Someone gimme a quick rundown on why people hate space wolves?
Juan Garcia
> roll over a knight in a single turn!!! Yeah. Maybe if you max out the unit, and have an HQ near by to give them re roll all wounds, and a plaguecaster to be +1 S... and all that ends up more than the Knight Deathshroud can not normally just 'roll up a knight dawg'.
Lucas Cook
wulfen niggers are cool
Lucas Wood
They're basically the special snowflakes of the setting. Also, furries.
Joshua Rogers
Space Wolves Grey Knights Every Primaris founding chapter
Evan Cooper
They were cool space vikings in 3rd, but then GW made them into space furries, that ride into battle of wolves.
Noah Turner
How would you anons fix deathwatch in their codex?
Brandon Roberts
They were cool when I was 14. Then I grew up.
Connor Cox
They are still horrible Mary Sues
Nolan Anderson
Yeah, I noticed this during the 7th edition but other generals are usually getting their shit together and trying to help newcomers because fresh blood is always useful. Here I got super handy nigger jokes. Guess I will find other place to ask or other game to spend my money on
Andrew Wright
i wish i didnt have a backlog so i could buy tyranids
i regret not starting them but everyone said they sucked in 7th so i went with chaos
chaos is cool though
but look at this happy little termagant
hes like a alien veliciraptor from space with a alien velociraptor from space gun
Jeremiah Hill
Dubs decide whether I go with Imperial or Renegade Knights.
Jayden Edwards
Definitely look into the playstyles and decide what you want to do. Play some games with other people's armies if you can.
Dark Eldar are quick and deadly glass cannons Necrons are tough as nails and fairly shooty Tyranids are about swarms, giant dino bugs, and often a lot of psykers
For painting, necrons are the easiest, nids have the most flexibility, and dark eldar are sleek and scary. Look at potential paint schemes on google and see what you like. All 3 are pretty distinctive and cool in their own ways.
Josiah Perez
>Gee Brother, how come the Chapter Master lets you have TWO Power Fists ?
Nicholas Lopez
>WAAAAAAAAAh >MOOOOOOM >40KG WAS MEAN TO MEEEEEE Back to le reddit kiddo.
Ayden Bell

Blake Phillips
If you go with Imperial knights they must be Mechanicus aligned
Matthew Sanchez
Orange.
Landon Sanders
Nobody cares, fuck off.
Jason Rodriguez
This is pretty much why 40k players get the worst rep
Have fun kids
Jackson Reed
though I personally do enjoy 40kg your comment is as braindead as an ogryn servitor
Noah Cook
nigger
Joshua Ward
Congrats user, I've won 3 in a row with just Primaris and a 4th yesterday with a Redemptor thrown in. Refine your list if possible, Primaris get crazy optimisation when it comes to re-rolls.
I tend to do it like firing lines when it comes to my infantry because it means re-rolls are put to use constantly. I'll be changing things up once I get a repulsor.
Once anything crosses the 12" mark I make it rain Inceptors and Reivers from the flanks and behind. Fun times.
Sebastian Foster
>Pssh, nothing personnel, kid.
Grayson Jones
They have all the benefits of being a space marine with none of the drawbacks. they get to spit in the eye of the setting and get away with it while being complete mary sues. Also furries
you guys think that a lot of wounds? I buff my defiler to do about 20 wounds a turn. Hit him with prescience, blades of putrefaction, and virulent blessing and he does double damage on 5+ wound rolls and hits on 3+
Dominic Brown
I want regular deathwatch dudes to be able to take stormshields for like 10> points
Kevin Lee
user FOR PRESIDENT
Ryan Martinez
Get buff bro, I appreciate your killyfiler
Christian Bell
We'll see with the codex
Joseph Gray
They break too many rules of the setting, and they're way to heavy with the wolf shit.
