STEP 3: Look through Da Curated Archive first. It probably has what you want. If not, go to Da Archive. Get comfortable and browse through the blasted thing. It is over 160 pages long. If you skim over the Personal Collections without looking you will miss 7,6543 pdfs.

Dear CityofCarse, I know a few people weighed in on your photoshopping last thread, but I wanted to share my knowledge. My background is in Beauty Restoration and Photo Restoration/Coloring
Attached is a pretty extreme example, but saturating takes color info and multiplies it, killing shadows and even midtones if overused.

What you need to adjust the black levels up, as scanners tend to wash these out since it's a very bright light.

If you look at the levels data, you'll usually see as attached, that a large portion of the blacks are close to nil, by making all of those nul values true black, you end up with a pic that looks much more like what your eyes see. If you want to adjust saturation after that, it's less likely you'll over saturate.
