The rogue is a black-clad edgy sneaker who fights with two daggers.
The barbarian is some big dumb fellow in 80's cheesy outfit.
The bard is some guy in fancy clothing, a strange instrument and armed with both a rapier and a sharp tongue.

What's the fighter's ultimate stereotype, Veeky Forums?

grizzled war vet with leathery skin and a grip like death.

Plate, sword and board.

Sounds like a paladin to me.
Half-plate, battleaxe, shield, with a great sword for backup.

>Sounds like a paladin to me.

Paladins are just fighters but holier.

Human male, chainmail, sword and shield and stubble

Full plate and a greatsword.

Winged open-face helmet
Breastplate
Loincloth
Bracers
Greaves
Sword and shield

...

Is that Oliver Queen?

This is actually one of the big problems with the Fighter class. As the name implies, they are meant to be an incredibly broad character type.

Grizzled
Eyepatch
Heavy armor
Shield
Some sort of unelegant weapon like a mace or axe

I googled 'Human Male Fighter' and this was the second result. I post the second result because the first result is literally a paladin and is referenced as such in the file name

This time I just googled "D&D Fighter" so as to not narrow it down so much. This is the first page of results

Here's the result for Wizard

Breastplate, gladius, shield. Silly hat optional.

Cleric

Bard

...

...

...

and finally Paladin

>paladins are just fighters with holy symbols plastered on them

Why is this allowed?

This is why I autistically believe in the 3 man archetype X 4 (or 5) way power source method.

Warrior, Rogue, Spellcaster

Might, Cunning, Magic, Gods, Nature(? this one is debatable)

Human male in scale mail, armed with sword and shield.

Hm. Tell me more.
