What was your first character?

just roll monk

Fighter with rounded stats with the exception of low per.
Was really nothing special but was played well enough to break his shitty little dragon hunt

Spec'd as a barbarian but I hadnt pulled the trigger on it yet

Fuckin hell. You need to be worse than a level 8 fighter?

Level 8 aristocrat who challenges people to fisticuffs. No weapons except for a family sword he's not proficient with.

Wasnt even anything special. Dice seemed to like him but I wasnt criting every other round or anything

Play a straight Doppelgänger. Their effective character level is 8 for some reason.

>deliberately makes useless suboptimal shitbag character who is just there to fail and make life harder for everyone out of spiteful autism

user, are you at least half of every group I am in?

Sorcerer with 8 Intelligence and 8 Charisma. Put the rest in Strength or something.

No spellcasting whatsover, since your stat is below the 10+spell level threshold. Not even cantrips.

No bonus feats.

Only 1 skill point per level. Put that into Profession: Beggar and survive off the pity and disgust you evoke.

Thread should have ended here.

Either make a truenamer or commoner

Truenamer or an npc class.

this is the funniest choice by far

This sorcerer KNOWS all the spells he'd normally get, but he's too weak-willed to actually make them reality.

This is a character with no class features apart from an optional familiar. He has low BAB, shit saving throws, no skills to speak of, low hit points and shit proficiencies. He can't contribute in combat beyond trying to hit things with a stick, once per round.

Is your pic a photo of your DM?

>This is a character with no class features apart from an optional familiar.
Toad familiar. The only benefit this nerd gets is 3hp.

>The virgin caster
>Low stats except ion those he can't use well
>Knows spells, but too weak to make them reality
>Low BAB
>Bad saves
>dies from a stiff breeze
>no good with weapons
>only friend is a 3HP frog

>the Chad Fighter
>Amazing stats all around, makes perfect use of them all at all times
>Doesn't know any spells, but doesn't need any. His force of will is enough to prevent any magic from being cast around him
>BAB is the stuff of legends
>High saves all around. Will Saves, Reflex saves, princess saves, burning orphanage saves. Has never failed a save.
>Can beat a hurricane to death with his bare hands
>Master of all weapons, even those that don't even exist.
>Has more friends than he can count or even keep track of.

Name him Pepe.

Maximize your Con. Split your levels into 8 different classes. This will boost your saves but absolutely tank your BAB. Spend your feats on Toughness, Improved Toughness, Great Fortitude, Iron Will, etc. Wear full plate without heavy armor proficiency.

A character who is totally useless but is hard to kill is the most useless of all, since he is unlikely to be replaced.

...

OP: can confirm GM has int 3 wiz 1
>TL;DR: OPs DM is potato

Not the WORST char you can build, but hey. Its less obvious.

Half orc wizard/cleric.
Play his as a shaman. Put most of your high stats in Str and Con. You will be the largest and in chargest of the group. So you should go first and try to act as a tank. Use spells accordingly. Avoid uberspells or broken combos. Just go for a few Bulls strength, armour boosting spells etc.

Wont hit the broad side of a barn.

Make the most broken character possible, that don't depend on rule interpretation that your DM could veto.
Wait for him to make you reroll again
Reroll Fighter

just be a really amazing character that just derails the game/attempts to solve the situation a different way

works every time, if not, DM probably sucks

So that's how she did it

But why though?

this, easily

Level 1 Fighter, Level 1 Rogue, Level 1 Wizard, then take 5 levels in the Survivor Prestige Class from Savage Species.

The ideal survival build is
>Level 2 Monk
>Level 1 Ranger
>Level 1 Cleric (or Druid)
>Level 1 Bard
for +7 in every save at level 5, then continue dipping into two-good-save classes afterwards.
Maximum CON, DEX, and WIS, minimum INT and CHA, moderate STR.

He's an incoherent wildman raised by owlbears, but he sure ain't dying anytime soon.

Eh.
