Imperial Guard or IG is what they use to be called until few years ago. As for what to grab, it's kinda up to you. Kreig thing fluff wise is meat grinding their enemy down. So you'll want a fair amount of troops. Probably some tanks so you don't wear your self down painting up to much of the same thing.

You can't update Space Marines, you need new Space Marines. In that spirit, I think Ynarri will get new stuff. I think that Drukhari will too. I think that Tau may get some stuff too.

No faction besides Primaris (and DG but they are completely new kinda) did get anything. No updates, no new models. GW has problems keeping the CURRENT kits available. Just take a look at the tyranid page on their own webpage. A new codex is released (and not a bad one), a perfect opportunity to sell kits. Fexes? Gone. Tyranocysts or whatever they are called? Gone. Hive Guard? Gone. If you want to play Nids you can't get the models that are used in the codex from the original manufacturer. Thats disappointing.

Don't remind me that one day I'll be the old guy in the corner with his OOP models who is a bit jaded. Mostly fine. Outside of a few stinkers GreyKnights and sorta AdMech It's all been pretty well balanced. IG is a bit strong, but the real problem currently in a competitive sence is soup lists. Shit like taking Rowboat and all the best units from across the Imperium currently are top tier. Chaos and Imperium can do this the best currently. I'd imagine and hope that some Xenos will be able to compete with this once their codex drops. Once everything has complete rules I don't see why Eldar Soup and Tryanid Soup could work.

CW eldar nonsense. So the new craftworld stratagems and Quicken allow for some crazy positioning nonsense.
I can take 5 five man aspect warriors (DA x2, FD, and banshees),and a 5 man unit of wraithguard, and 2 wave serpents, then after seeing your army decide which of those go in the wave serpents how, then if I want to deep strike up to 2 the units or deep strike the WS.
Then I can have any of the units advance 6" before shooting if needed, and if I pull of quicken move any of those a second time. With a reroll on the quicken because of the relic.
Oh, and the 10 man scorpion squad can get +2 to their charge so only needs 7 to get in.
I still use the reroll strat for critical and easy to make rerolls (like saving a FD from an exploding transport), but everything else is going to the CW strats now.

i'm planning to have their colour schemes to be white, with their helmets half painted in their original chapter colours. their left shoulder would be coloured in those colours as well, except without the chapter insignia.
