The portrayal of Ollanius Persson in the audio story, 'Perpetual' really changed my feelings on the character. He's essentially just Dr. Who and I'll continue to consider him as such.

Most people probably just find him too bland. His only real thing is that he is perfect, nothing particularly interesting in terms of demenour, fighting style, or tactical doctrine.

The 8th edition rules are pretty shit imo doesn’t fix anything balance wise and in some cases makes it worse

So what are chaos Horus and Emps going to be? I imagine Horus is going to be pretty close, just with stats around 8-9s. Maybe with psychic level 4-5. I hope they don't go too crazy with them.

There's no real way to have big E's tabletop stats reflect anything in the fluff. You can't balance a game around a guy that can blow up stars with his mind.

My prediction is he'll be an undercosted titan as an infantry unit.

I don't know if FW is going with the Molech fluff, but if they do Horus will be his equal.

Hey, if I do well enough on my round of exams I can always defer entry and have another crack at it after a year of comparatively less work. There's an incentive to up my game if ever there was one, although probably not the best idea since I have excellent backups.

The Night Lords are a machiavellian legion. What Curze did in Nostramo mirrors what Machiavelli believed about how principalities should be ruled.
Remember when Dorn reprehended Curze and his legion for flaying some beaten random soldiers? It's how a prince(emperor in that case) is supposed to rule over a recently conquered country(or world/empire). A people accustomed with freedom isn't going to willingly accept being ruled by foreigns that conquered their world through war. When they find the opportunity, they're going to rebel.
