first for bravustormu novel

Can we get some memes flowing?

>refused to meet the charge
Tyranids confirmed pussies who get wrecked by daemons in melee, how will they ever recover? Eternally NPCs

I think it's a cool bit of fluff and I play chaos.

How to make the Astraeus worth it:
Body: 475
Main Cannon: 60
Las Rippers: 25
VS: 4+++/5+++/6+++

With Necromunda coming out again soon, and rules for old gangs supposedly being in the making going off the website, have two questions:
What models make good starts for converting Redemptionists/Cawdor gangers?
And would there be any practicality to converting a whole guard army based around drafted Redemptionists being sent on a massive crusade?

flagellants and witch-hunters probably. Would be a cool army, but would preform the same as any other IG army. games-workshop.com/en-US/Empire-Flagellant-Warband

I want to do a shooty marine army. Should I go Imperial Fists or Raven Guard (Raptors chapter)?

How to fix Orks:

>give every weapon an additional shot (3 shot shootas, 2 shot sluggas and rokkits, etc
>give deffguns and burnas D3+3 shots for the whole unit

Music and model check time. What're you listening to and what're you working on?

youtube.com/watch?v=EH6wdRVqoXQ

Still doesn't fix compounding To Hit penalties completely removing their ability to even shoot in the first place. They need to either ignore them altogether or count anything higher than a -1, as -1.

...

Could easily just say "nat 6's always hit" in the same way that natural 1's always miss. It wouldn't even affect most other armies, so I'm not sure why GW doesn't do that.

...

>Listening to
Nat Geo Wild talking about animals and shit.
>Working on
10 Hellions, but currently taking a vidya break.

Are those some sort of mass produced chaos robot?

Why? Why would chaos produce robots?

What is it looking at Veeky Forums?

Orks is the meme'st there is.

...

Men of Iron.

>More Dakka!: Always hit on a 5+ regardless of negative ballistic modifiers.

...

It's looking at (You).

Working on Inquisition Acolytes and listening to I Feel Love after watching the Punisher TV show.

Memes for the meme god.

Is there any reason I shouldnt be running a Hellforged Contemptor as my dedicated can opener for Tsons? It's faster (b4 wound degrade), gets more attacks, hits harder, and is more survivable. All for about 50 more points than a helbrute.

>tfw Tribes is dead and I'll never get a Diamond Sword tribe model to run as a marine captain or inquisitor.

No, plus is doesn't have any of that disgusting flesh shit that'd ruin your tsons' aesthetic.

No, there isn't.
Contemptors also look better model wise.

>What models make good starts for converting Redemptionists/Cawdor gangers?
>And would there be any practicality to converting a whole guard army based around drafted Redemptionists being sent on a massive crusade?
I'd recommend looking into the frostgrave cultists. Cheapest way to get guys wearing robes and pointy heads.

Could work, although I think it would probably greatly enable any army with access to strong shooting that's otherwise mitigated by middling accuracy (IG and Tau, mostly).

A few eBay auctions later amounting to 250.00 and I got all these orks. I plan on painting deathskulls. Are they a unique enough paint scheme?

well that was easy

You just had the follow the damn train mario

Maybe, but IG and Tau are typically hitting on 4's, so it'd only make any difference at all if you were giving them -3 to-hit or -2 to-hit and they moved before firing their heavy weapons. Not going to happen so often that I'd think of it as meta-altering, let alone game breaking.

>activate windows
pleb detected.

>Are they a unique enough paint scheme?
The only deathskull I ever see are my own. The five or so other Ork players I've meet at tourneys and shit mostly paint their dudes Goff. Few Bad Sunz aswell.

I wonder if the Eight will get datasheets in the Tau Codex. Or FSE supplement, if that ever happens.

Not as rare as finding a snake bites army, which I've never even seen before. But yeah, that's pretty unique.

>how will they ever recover?
Winning the fight and BTFOing the daemons from range seems a good start.

That's a real slick looking gaming station

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
followed soon by Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison

I'm just procrastinating finishing this Lascannon Marine so I can practice plasma gun coils and heat discoloration, since I'm gonna need to strip some Plasma Cannons and Black Knights soon.

1 Hour of epic, emotional... music.

Rate my black tide:
Battalion Detachment (3CP):
> Black Templar Tactics
HQ:
>Terminator Chaplain w/ The Crusader's Helm (117)
>The Emperor's Champion (108)
Troops:
> 3x Crusader squad (10 initiates, 10 neophytes), power axe and flamer on the Initiates, power sword on the sword brother (3x249 = 747)
Elites:
> 3x dreadnought w/ missile launcher and lascannon (145x3 = 435)
> 5x Assault terminators w/ TH/SS (280)
> 2x Chapter ancient (76x2 = 152)

The chaplain goes with the assault termies so he can buff the frontline of crusaders when they arrive. Emperor's champ and each chapter ancient go to different crusader squads. Dreads try not to die and maybe kill a tank.

>The only interesting piece of new fluff in the Tyranid codex is that a Hivefleet is building and protecting something
>The only interesting piece of fluff is when Tyranids don't act like Tyranids

Explain this bugfags.

First list I've put together in 8th, currently have about 900 points of this painted, how's it looking boys?
I haven't really followed the meta so I don't know how good it will be.

I just cant bring myself to pay microsoft $100

i dont even game anymore :( i open the steam app and just look at the games and i never play...

im actually pretty excited to paint orks. this is the only time that i've had this feeling about painting before.

youtube.com/watch?v=DkeGMaq0O98
And working on my last set of rubicae.

Although, a while back I came up with an idea and I liked it quite a bit...Synthwave with Gregorian chanting. I mashed this one up real quick. youtubedoubler.com/m9W2

If you're spending 117 points on a Terminator Chaplain, why not spend the extra three points on Grimaldus?

Also, power axes on 1-attack initiates are sort of a waste. You're better off saving those points for other stuff.

Who knows
If Enclaves is a Sept in the codex, then probably a few will get a sheet.
Farsight+Bravestorm and maybe the Botside

Well get to it user. Deathskulls are 10/10 taste
>i dont even game anymore :( i open the steam app and just look at the games and i never play...
I know this feeling all to well.

Rate my homebrew unit, Veeky Forums

This is a special unit, taking up an Elites slot, that has the Keyword 'Astral Scorpions' in place of ''.

The Astral Scorpions are a spacefaring chapter with a penchant for trading. They do this using their Warp drives to transport luxury goods on demand, so that richer clients on more advanced planets can receive supplies and general goods that they wouldn't normally have access to from the slow, sub-light speed cargo ships that Imperial worlds usually rely on.

The Merchant Marines, hailing from the Pleasure Planet homeworld of the Astral Scorpions, have retained their world's iconic calm demeanour and negotiating skills, and the chapter uses them to negotiate trade deals with advanced Imperial worlds, especially Forge Worlds but also some of the richer Hive Worlds, in order to gain access to more advanced and powerful technologies which the chapter then utilises against the myriad enemies they routinely face as they travel the stars, trading across the entire Segmentum Solar and even beyond.

Merchant Marines are distinguished from their brethren by their purple armour, often partially covered by exquisite cloths obtained from the marine's many diplomatic and economic ventures.

Merchant Marine
>can purchase +1 special or heavy weapon for any tactical squad in the army, or +1 flamer, plasma pistol or eviscerator for assault squads or up to +2 heavy weapons for devastator squads; all require that the unit numbers 10 models, and cost 5 points per squad on top of upgrades
>can grant up to 3 non-unique Imperium units in your army the 'Astral Scorpions' keyword for 10 points each
>can take an Orbital Bombardment for... 20 points?
>can replace boltgun with any special weapon or melee weapon

Wargear: Artificer Armour, Boltgun, Bolt Pistol, frag/krak grenades
Statline: same as Techmarine
Cost: 50 points
Keywords: Character, Astral Scorpions

Why are Lychguard's 4++ Dispersion Shields 15pts when a 3++ Storm Shield is 5pts?

What are your favourite Warhammer Youtubers?
I really like Tabletop Tactics for games, Warhammer TV for painting, and Bruva for comedy stuffs.

remember that those initiates also only have 1 wound, so if they get killed while you're footslogging towards the enemy you'll end up wasting a lot of points for nothing

...

Arch Warhammer does a great job in his lore videos. I don't care too much about his political videos, but his recent run-ins with the feminids have been interesting and I feel he's very correct with his stance against them.

Paints arrive sunday along with 20 more boys. Going to be fun. Should buy some simple green to clear some of these paint jobs.

From what I hear about orks I doubt this but can I play casually and have fun with orks?

I'd just wait for Cawdor to get released, at most that will be in a years time.

> Grimaldus
I suppose I could counts as my chaplain to be Grimaldus. I only really run him because he's been the leader of my army since 6th and in this edition he's finally survivable enough to be warlord.
> Power axes
Yeah this is true, sucks that they hit crusaders with that. Maybe I should save the points and drop the ancients for a vanguard squad?
It's kinda hard to fit them in a transport and maintain a strong infantry group at the same time... I could do it if I dropped the ancients, a crusader squad and a dread but it seems to be better to just have more of them to soak the wounds than go anywhere

Duh ya git.

>Listenan gachigasm

>Workan on
this ugly piece of shit here, kustom battlewagon that is really just 2 trukks smashed together and other shit. yellow will be better in a few more layers at least.

hardcore history

building a toxicrene

I made a ork faction with my friend and we are painting it up now. Da Nite Krumpaz are all about being the fastest and sneakiest so of course their colors are crimson and deep purple. Their symbol is a deep purple choppa with crimson teeth coming out of the blades

Its because bugs are inately uninteresting.

I would keep the Ancients - they're awesome with big Crusader squads.

A vanguard vet squad might be a nice addition, but you're better off dropping a dread for it than the Ancients

>tfw you find the recasters contact info you've been searching for by accident
Yes of course. It's casual games you can do whatever man.

you could have some of them in the front just armed with chainswords or combat weapons or whatever, and let them get shot first so your axes survive up to close combat

So, I recently found out about Chapter Master. I've been playing the version from the bay12 forum.

Does anyone knows if there is a more recent version?

they were one dimensional

now they have another dimension

Got any pics?

this makes me happy. i just have to convince everyone else to play casually too.

Me at 7am : "You know, the grey knight paint scheme seems like a snap to paint well, I think ill paint all 30 today."

Me, now at 10 pm :

How many did you get through?

not yet, we are still stripping and getting all of the orks up to a standard look before we start adding the crimson/purple

Don't forget the blue armor sheen, user!

Im just starting on the gold..... also I think there is more than 30.

Where is this from?

Paint the eyes blue and boom your done.

Anyone have the updated rules for dark vengeance? specifically the dark angel characters?

which episode? celtic holocaust was pretty damn good. I feel like the main point was kinda muddled but it was a great story about caesar and the gauls/celts.

genghis khan

> Unusually, the design does not originate directly from the work of Archmagos Dominus Cawl’s Repulsor transports designs, but instead
blends his innovations with STC technology supposedly recovered by the Minotaurs Chapter during the so-called Perun Cross Incident,
a battle whose records are sealed to all but the higher echelons of the Inquisition.

> As such, production of these vehicles is focused among
the more distant Forge Worlds, primarily the fortress-forge of Mezoa, where the gaze of Mars cannot so easily pry.

How does this not violate the Treaty of Olympus?

I was thinking of painting Grey Knights black with red so they have a more inquisition theme to them. Would this raise autistic screeching?

>How does this not violate the Treaty of Olympus?
Who's going to stop it?

What are the terms of the Treaty of Olympus?

...

Lore question. Can an astartes chapter have their own army of human serf soldiers? Recruit them from the chapter homeworld and put them in charge of artillery, armor and logistics.

High Lords of Terra know about it and the Minotaurs are their pet chapter. The representive of Mars likely knows about it and lets it go given Guilliman told them "let it happen or I start purging Mars since there are others more than happy to re-negotiate how things are."

>now watch closely Imperial Citizen, while I show those xenos my "Emperor's Mercy."

They do to an extent. Ultras in particular.

Yes, most do that. It'd be too much trouble to recruit and train a marine for every task where manual labor is required.

If you want to bring a lot of long range weapons, RG seems better.
IF's chapter tactic is more interesting than it seems, but their stratagem is 'meh'

>The amount of effort they spend purely hunting fallen rather than doing their jobs is kinda overplayed
You've gotta figure that 99.9% of Unforgiven deployments don't have anything to do with the Fallen. Sure, it's over-represented in the novels, but the vast majority of the time the First Legion are pretty standard if taciturn Space Marines.

Is it okay to leave my Stormraven off the flying base and just put it on the table on its landing gear? I don't like the risk of it falling over and shattering

Basically,

> Mars gets to remain a separate entity distinct from the Imperium
>Mars supplies the Imperium with weapons and machines
> the Imperium supplies Mars with a steady stream of soldiers to be trained as techpriests and astropaths
> the Mechanicus gets to operate Forge Worlds on other planets
> the Mechanicus gets access to any STCs found by the Imperium

I’m just getting started. All I got right now is the start collecting Ork pack and 5 stormboyz. Haven’t even played a game or painted the figures, and I’m still waiting for the new codex to come out. Any advice for this noob.

Yeah it's a shame. I already play them in 30k so I was hoping they'd play similar in 8th.

>>give every weapon an additional shot (3 shot shootas, 2 shot sluggas and rokkits, etc

Every blast weapon is still garbage. Given how fragile Ork specialists are they need to be absolute glass cannons to justify their cost. You could double the shots of all Ork ranged weapons and you still wouldn't include most of them in the average list.
