Is /pfg/ kill?

How do I Altair in PF?

The Voyager got 2hu's seal of approval and actual praise last thread.
So that's something.

2hu is incapable of thinking outside statistics and hyperoptimization. His seal of approval is only math and combat based. It means very little if you're not playing an all combat game.

Sounds more like it matters a lot in any game where combat isn't uncommon.

2hu does place a lot of emphasis on roleplay, they just believe good roleplay should never justify bad mechanics

Is that supposed to mean anything?

DMs, how do you rule potion glutton? That shit is just a mess considering there's no caveat for alchemist extracts and the "normal" section is wrong.

to 2hu, everything is combat. Even social interaction becomes an excuse to weaponize statistics, skills and roles.

So, no, it's still combat to him.

According to 2hu, the only point of having a conversation is for debates. To them talking has no value outside of what you can argue or dispute about, there is no such thing as a mundane social chat, as those are pointless to 2hu.

I was referring to in game, actually, but that is a good point.

2hu does not see "combat" or "skills", he sees a DC and he knows how to raise his roll so he beats the dc 95% (or 100% for the case of skills) of the time.

2hu thinks that players use butchering axes and take Zenith Strikes/Reflected Blade Style in real games.

delete your pic op or i will cUM

to be fair on this point, most /pfg/ goers do

Never seen an app with it.

I was under the impression that most of pfg min-maxes for fetishes or jokes, and only a few shitters min-max for damage

Yes. We've become a cult of personality and unwilling to talk about games that don't take place online or use the standard campaign setting.

So why do we hate the Voyager because 2hu likes it?

we talk about custom campaigns all the time

We just no longer talk about the setting they're in even when really cool shit is going down in them

Poisons are underwhelming from the perspective of a player because they're expensive and often have low DC's, however if you're only planning on taking out a few opponents at a time before the next payday their relative worth goes up. The ones most worth it are the ones that require multiple sequential saves to fully negate, however the low saves will stay unless you become a class that specifically deals with and makes poisons. Don't use them unless you've already done something to lower their ability to make saves.

It's not that we hate it. We just spend too much time thinking about the opinions about it.

I haven't seen it yet, and my players could have used it against the pair of Sahuagin Brutes (not really CR 3) they fought in the session before last.

>We just spend too much time thinking about the opinions about it.
Doesn't that make you more autistic than the autist?

pls go back to argument class, those are some impressive fallaces

Then what's the consensus on the Voyager for real?

There is no consensus, because 1) no one's been talking about voyager and 2) /pfg/ is not a hivemind

Wasn't Voyager talked about last thread?

2hu brought it up at the very end, I guess?

Then instead of discussing it in this thread, it looks like people are discussing 2hu/discussing discussing voyager.

Not really. This is my first /ptg/ post since people started talking about the Voyager, and I don't play enough Psionic games to know how good it really is. I would have to ask one of my players to playtest it themselves.

Even then, it's better than talking about high heels in combat.

I've played a character with a Butchering Axe but it was a Sphere Practitioner not an inititaotr/akashic fucker.

Like why is the butchering axe gettting so much shade thrown at it when it's AoC, Powerful Build, Effortless Lace, Enlarge Person stack spamming that makes it busted?

What about after those are capped?

Okay but what if we took a Voyager and put them in high heels?

>paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateEquipment/magicArmsAndArmor/weaponSpecialAbilities.html

Cunning
Dispelling Burst (needs someone to cast a Dispel Magic to store in the weapon)
Glorious
Ominous
Spellstealing

Don't get elemental effects. Mid and high level monsters are probably immune.

Shocking Burst, Thundering, stuff like that?

Which book were they in? I can't find the image I saved of the page.

Did anyone save a copy of the initial playtest Voyager?
Wanted to compare to what we have now, but I can't find my copy. Coulda swear I had saved a copy.

Reposting again in the hopes I get some feedback.

So made a new dumb homebrew thing: the Genealogist Fighter, who channels the power of his heritage to fight. Allowing whoever takes it to become a half-human half-elf half-orc half-dwarf half-goblin half-troll half-triaxian half-kobold half-drow.

Madokami best goddess.

Which are the most fun and interesting curses?

Unending hiccups.

youtube.com/watch?v=X5d7QPXDDDY

Erectile function. This will give the subject a -6 to Dexterity, so it's within the limits of Bestow Curse.

>paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/spells/bestowCurse.html#bestow-curse

>prolonged erection

It can lead to penile amputation. Seek immediate medical attention if an erection lasts for more than four hours

Or find another mage to get rid of it.

What kind of mage specializes in treating penises?

Probably a member of the Priapism Consortium

A Phallumancer?

>aperto Woodfield
Captcha gets me

>what is Ease-The-Tease

Reminds me of that Colombian 66-years old man who overdosed himself with viagra and had an erection for days to impress his new girlfriend. The penis became inflamed, fractured and showing signs of gangrene. In an effort to stop the gangrene from spreading to the rest of the body, doctors had no option but to amputate the penis.

But...
>I immediately moved on to a new playtest mini-campaign in which both of the PCs are 7th-level voyagers (metronome), and by playtest game, I mean "it took us until the climax of the second session to reach combat, because the entire adventure had been investigation, infiltration, and in-character chit-chat before then."

Yo PFG

I'm making a cleric. A barb 2/cleric18.

Firstly - Like the build?

Secondly - Magical Lineage. It knocks out a metamagic level on a single spell that I choose. What spell?

I want to make a Paladin based around charging on horseback and impaling the shit out of the enemy.
What kind of build do you suggest?

>What kind of build do you suggest?

Take the feats for mounted combat and charging?

small and use a riding dog, so you can actually use your build indoors

It's a small archetype, but interesting. Smaller than I expected it to be, really. I'd consider giving it sense motive on familial diplomacy, possibly instead of intimidate, but that might be too much. On the other hand, Fighters aren't known for drowning in skill ranks.

I'm sure there's something really stupid that could be done with Enhanced Heritage. Multiple stupid things, even. It's a late feature though (only getting its first one at 9th level) because it's replacing Weapon Training. I can see that this archetype really takes away almost nothing, just gives you more options, so I'd actually suggest hitting two birds with one stone by replacing the Fighter's first bonus feat with a feature from a race ala Enhanced Heritage. If someone wants a character who has some mutant feature in the background of their PC or as a key piece of their build even from early levels, they can do it, and having it replace the Fighter's first feat means the archetype isn't a complete no-brainer. On the other hand, even as is it might not be a no-brainer to take since it has opportunity cost against other archetypes. So, something to consider perhaps.

Aside from that, are you planning to add other stuff to the archetype or is it complete right now? Since capstones are basically just fluff anyway, have you thought about replacing the capstone with something cool, like an ability to shapeshift at will into races you have Racial Heritage for?

Storm of Blades is a nifty spel

Which is the best yōkai kitsune subrace?

...

I once ran my PCs through a blighted cave that was so saturated with curse magic and spite that simply lingering in it was bound to get you cursed. Had a whole random table of curses made for it, PCs had to save every few minutes against getting a new one- most of them were harmless but annoying, but some were actually bad. By the time the PCs were done there, one of them was made acutely aware of time passing (consciously aware of each second, granting a perfect awareness of how long something is taking but getting a penalty on most mental checks from the constant distraction), another was turned into a pacifist (dealing nonlethal with attacks no longer takes a penalty to hit but trying to deal lethal put a -4 on the attack roll) and was constantly given the feeling that he was being watched. Another was magically made certain that they sky might fall at any moment and so was unnerved if they had line of sight to the sky, and the fox familiar grew an unkempt beard which couldn't be trimmed or groomed and gained false memories of an unlife lived as a 1,000 year old lich (which is the only curse that was never eventually removed, because as a Mauler it had no way to communicate this to the party and the other PCs literally never learned about it).

Hi guys, I heard that you have online sessions. Is it possible to join any of them?

What's /pfg/'s view on loli characters?

They are to be constantly picked on.

unless they are overwhelmingly smug - is such case, they do the picking

They're called Halflings, and I haven't seen anyone play one in a long time.

no

how does Mahou Shoujo stuff work out in pathfinder?

>paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advancedRaceGuide/coreRaces/halflings.html
>d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/pass-for-human/

They've got you fooled.

There was a Magical Girl archetype in Ultimate Intrigue.
>d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/vigilante/archetypes/vigilante-archetypes-paizo-inc/magical-child

I don't know how well it works in practice.

Not particularly well, for the most part. It's a pet-focused magic class that doesn't have a particularly strong pet (unless you use the Mauler/Vigilante Form loophole). Paizo even went so far as to make their Transformation Sequence a talent that can be taken by other kinds of vigilantes, thus invalidating it almost completely.

Does that mean I can use a regular Vigilante to be a Kamen Rider?

I would strongly suggest Supers games like Mutants and Masterminds for magical girls proper, but for a magical gir-themed character, PF has some neat stuff. Chosen One Paladin is good for beatsticks. If you're willing to go with 3PP, there's the Aegis, and we obviously can't forget the casting characters.

Too bad sleeves of many garments got nerfed hard, it used to be helpful for this.

>Paizo even went so far as to make their Transformation Sequence a talent that can be taken by other kinds of vigilantes, thus invalidating it almost completely.
You have to have access to magic of some kind to use the talent, so if you're a mundane then nope you're shit out of luck, magic users only fucko unless your DM isn't a jackass

Indeed you can.

How do you solve a mystery?

I roll a knowledge check, two perceptions, one Linguistics check with my occultist and two flat INT rolls.

Alternatively I get a gay dude, a hooker, a lesbian and a stoner who eats dog food to do it for me.

Always ask not "how" or "what" but "why at every single step"?

Punch everyone

You just need a SLA, so just trait for Magical Talent as a human. Any monk levels or just run Shielded Gauntlet or Pummeling Style, Fist of The Avenger, Lethal Grace?

You probably don't need to multiclass-vigilante gets plenty of options to improve their unarmed abilities.

I wouldn't say it's 100% complete, but as it is it currently covers just about everything I wanted it to handle. Also I should point out that Enhanced Heritage doesn't *replace* weapon training, it just gives you the ability to replaces AWT at the normal weapon training levels, so you can still get AWT stuff with the feat.

Replacing the capstone with the ability to transform into your racial heritages does sound like a good idea though, so I added it.

Yeah, I think the only dip to really go for is one in Construct Rider Alchemist. Because a Rider needs a mount.

How does your mom handle rapes? He makes me grapple and pin and then each thrust is a melee touch attack that deals 1d3 plus .5 str mod in non lethal damage that provokes attacks of opportunity

Dm* stupid phone

He doesn't because he's neither edgy or frequents /pfg/.

You sound like a cuck

You sound like a cuck.

You're a feminist, raising other men's kids is literally all you do

You're projecting your own faults onto others to make yourself seem more stable as a person.

Don't reply to bait.

Well in our game we play as male adventures and all monsters are females and try to rape us (MGE-style setting).

So
>get pinned
>mg does a grappling check to climb on top of you
>roll her smell, grinding and hotness against your resistance
>if you don't get a boner you get another chance to throw her off, if you fail the same thing happen again the next round
>if you get a boner she puts it in you
>your ejaculation resistance goes against her oral skill attack or her vaginal attack (DM chooses which one she does)
>if you fail you lose a pleasure hit (our version of taking damage)
>if you run out of pleasure hits you ejaculate and you're effectively "knocked out" for the rest of the battle

disgusting

They get apped to lewd games.
It must be unendingly frustrating for their players to realize that nobody actually wants to bang a child.

To each their own.

What do you mean?

>if you get a boner she puts it in you
W-what?

I misspelled, meant to write "if you get a boner she puts it in her". Sorry about that.

>you lost me.jpg

>Player apps to game with a loli
>Nobody talks about them
>If they get accepted, nobody sees them as anything but children
>They never get any except from PCs or monsters depraved enough to molest children
Loli bullshit is a meme.
