>Warhammer 40k is Warhammer Fantasy in space
>Warhammer Age of Smegma is Warhammer 40k not in space

Argue these statements as one combined statement.

Everyone forced to build sigtard armies just in time for the new grot release, who slaughter sigmar's chosen with ease.

Nah, I'm good.

No.

Heres a pictorial bestiary of the mortal realms instead.

whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Pictorial_Bestiary_of_the_Mortal_Realms

40k gonna get 10 codices next year. 10 fuckin codices in a year.
Yeah, I know that GW will mostly be like
>copy the 7th codex
>add some new fluff about great ass rift and primaris
>new profiles
>call it a day
Still, for fuck's sake - don't tell me it's so hard to make new battletomes for AoS. When we saw a new one the last time - aetherpunk dwarves, right?

other guy:
>on the bright side it might be a strong tome due to power creep
you:
>how dare you try and see the bright side of anything!!! you are a bad person and need to feel bad and never feel good.

Soon

>Warhammer Age of Smegma is Warhammer 40k not in space
Fuck, I wish it was true. I want new weird ass machine-focues grots and orruks

Yeah it's pretty infuriating. I did get this though, but again they could be like "isn't a summer campaign enough for the year?"

Although 40k is their big cash cow, so it makes sense it gets more focus.

>Obligatory: is overlords of the iron dragon/hammerhal/weekender anthology up on the megas?

What even is this?

>Although 40k is their big cash cow, so it makes sense it gets more focus.
Literally cannibalization. It's so stupid we didn't get cross-aos/40k mortal chaos worshippers kits for each chaos god. Like take tzeentch acolytes and put some funny guns in the box

Are Ironjawz a decent pick for a new player?

Yeah, they are fine. Cheap to start and collect (Start Collecting box + Skirmish Warband box + Megaboss = 1000pts ironfist army), fun to paint and easy to play. Glass-cannon army but enjoyable

>Ironjawz
>glass cannon
>most fragile unit is 4+ 2W

40k has all the models updated and in place. new battletomes means new models, all the new models that GW had that could be made into tomes were already.

give back fantasy

>new battletomes means new models
>What are BCR
>What are Pestilens
>What are Seraphon
>What are FEC
No, not really

>all the new models that GW had that could be made into tomes were already
If a faction has 8+ warscrolls and each of them can be build from a boxed kit then it's just okay to be "battletomed" - same as FEC or BCR

Yeah. When aos dropped, GW confiscated my books too. I want them back!

I'll never use them, but they were mine and part of my collection. It isn't right. I feel you, man.

LIke I said in the part of sentence after the comma, all the armies with relatively new models that could have been turned into tomes already have tomes. All that's left is older stuff or stuff with not enough models to make into army.

>All that's left is older stuff or stuff with not enough models to make into army
Uh, every army that got allegiance abilities with GHB17 was okay to have a battletome on their own. Wanderers, Dispossessed, Slaves to Darkness etc. Also there are still armies like Daughters of Khaine, Gitmob Grots and Moonclan Grots

>All that's left is older stuff or stuff with not enough models to make into army

...

You do realize GW will not turn those into one big faction again, right? If it didn't get a tome yet, it'll most likely have to wait for redesign, or be condemned to "grand alliance" status when new replacement armies like the rumored shadow aelves come out.

Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire general thread Did anyone play the game? How did it go? I had a lot of fun with the core set.

Settra refers to himself in the third person.

I can't believe this hasn't been fixed in how many years?

>like the rumored shadow aelves

this sounds fun

I've picked up the core set but haven't finished assembling it yet. I really don't like the stormcast helmets so I ordered some female heads to swap onto Brightshield and I'm gonna scrounge something for Obryn out of what I've got lying around. Made me realize there's a real shortage of plastic female miniatures out there that are good for parts purposes. After that I get to try and find people to play with.

You can still play it. Nobody took it away from you.

They are going to make more female models for 40K and AoS. Look at Feminist40K on facebook.

In all honesty, about bloody time. I don't give half a fuck about gender representation or shit-ass tier quotas but god damn it has GW's release schedule been a sausage fest up until almost now (and then we've got only a pair of characters!)

I saw some angry threads about that a few days ago, I'm not going to wait however long that takes to get into production and released and to show up on bits sites that aren't in Australia or England before putting Brightshield together though. Plus now if the next Stormcast warband has a female member I'll have some heads sitting around already.

Does the Sylvaneth Wildwood rule Roused by Magic trigger when the target of the spell is near the woods, or does it refer to the caster?

>Female space marines
kys

Where did anyone mention female space marines?

What are you working on /aosg/?

I really hope that when the AoS RPG comes out, we get some foundation at last for world building. I wanna make my Chaos Dwarf Slave Helltrain already damn it.

>Screams across the realms, no rails required, setting everything on fire.

What models are those?

stormcast aetherwings

The image for one.

Thats not a space marine, that's an inquisitor

>I don't give half a fuck about gender representation or shit-ass tier quotas
>Uses the term "sausage fest"

>White lion chariots are better
>Regular chariots look cooler
FUCK

>Regular chariots look cooler
I disagree, the charioteer with one foot up on the railing ready to give someone the chop on the driveby makes it a cooler looking model.

Was the five visible inquisitional sigils too subtle?

I just bought some astrogranite debris to do some basing.
Any tips?

not him but its pretty easy to assume from the thumbnail its some stupid grey knight female fanart. i thought it was too until i clicked on it

Who is this and how do I learn more?
Watched this cunt.

youtube.com/watch?v=sSeVoGb_ARA

Pretty gud.

I made all my Wanderer Hero models female using heads from other kits and green stuff. It isn’t hard and let’s you individualize your models. Work a lot better than Facebook groups

>Implying this isn't shameless self-promotion

War is a sausage fest you dumb cunt.

They're not making dolls for a dress up tea party.

Grey knights are also covered in ]['s you presumptuous coon

Has anyone converted this for use in a Skaven army?

...

Yeah the proportions are just way off. Can't be skinny like that and be in that huge armor, just look at the neck

...

>buy hey at least its not boobplate!
Fuckers need to fuck off with their 'muh realistic armor' when shit like this is common in the setting.

...

Terminator armor never made any sense as a wearable thing, you'd have to have shoulders wider than your torso's length.

I got to about 4 minutes and closed tab.

He's an idiot. Completely ignoring his personal bias against it, being transparent about his feelings for it, he also got so many things wrong. Like how sigmar called dracothion 'mallus'. The quality to be expected of a butthurt fantasy fag.

yeah i got 12m in and rolled my eyes at the lol spess muhreens *airquotes*humor*close airquotes*

Im pretty sure he thinks hes genuinely hilarious

I'm not going to argue with you least you get triggered again but, to quote tolkien:

"The genre is called fantasy, it's meant to be unrealistic you myopic manatee".

And considering how much of a metric fuckton of bling they rack per mini I'd beg to disagree in your last statement.

Holy shit this thing is bad. Literally "i slept thru the lecture, plz gimme your notes" rambling.

Worst thing is that the braindead twats on youtube like it... which means the plague is going to spread.

Great, incoming wave of turds ahead. Fun thing is that the guy doesn't give a damn about being corrected.

He doesn't even play miniature games that I can tell, either. All his videos are video game footage.

Basically this guy is becoming the face of "lol age of smegma, here's what it is"

So, basically Veeky Forums

I mean you do realize that Veeky Forums was founded because /v/ and /b/ were getting flooded by clueless babbies who had just gotten into Dawn of War, right?

1d4chan's pitiful approximations of the fluff are a symptom of that.

Plausible, considered Termie armor for non-SM was all modified, either scale down to fit or having extra control crank/mechanism for smaller body.

On the other hand I think most Inquisitor will stick with their power armor over the Termie armor anyday, without all the censor and neuro UI, any non-SM inside a Termie armor is even more dead than a Termie inside a spacehulk, you can't run, you can't turn quickly, you can't even see well.

If an inquisitor want more protection, they'll bring a rosarius, or wear an artificer armor.

I can see the feet going to the knees, but where I draw the line is where your have the arms going. Makes no sense at all.

But regardless, it's fantasy. The sooner we can leave "muh realism" behind, the better off everyone becomes

At least tg/ kind of grew out of it.

>>Obligatory: is overlords of the iron dragon/hammerhal/weekender anthology up on the megas?

Seconding this.

Why don't Duardin use swords or spears?

Because that's for pansy (a)elves.

Because hammers and axes exist.
Also, Kharadron Overlords do use Swords and Spears

They are against war-specific weapons, instead only using functional items with a primary purpose of construction or tree-felling. Using a war-specific weapon is considered shameful in dwarf communities.

Interesting.

Go and fucking die on a cross. Honest to god, I've seen people try their god damned best to provide quality information and then this fucking retard seems to be poised to be the one to get the most attention. Fucking sad.

...

full cover of neferata.

You know what? These guys look fine. I rather like these KO models.

Arkanaut warband for Shadespire when?

Any chance of someone posting the Hammerhal novella? I really don't want to pay for a book that I already own 90% of...

user...
You're supposed to keep the piracy on the tabletop.

I just wish their rules were better, or points cheaper. They are currently suicide to put on the table in matched play.

>Who is this
the reincarnated plant-zombie of the beloved everqueen Alarielle

Sad to see the Bretonnian Nerf. I know its to move away from compendium units though.

>slowpoke.jpg

Yep

See this is the problem I have with a massive expansion of new blood in to the hobby. Any time you mention something before AoS, they stand like idiots trying to understand you. One kid over at our local even asked what Warhammer Fantasy Battle was, I was so chocked it probably looked as if I just had a stroke. I just thought to myself "so this is the future of the hobby..."

Why do you like Sigmar over Fantasy? Wondering as I'm not involved in either yet.

>Why do you like Sigmar over Fantasy?
one is a currently supported game with new content added regularly. The other is out of publication, and unsupported.

tell me more x

To be frank, I don't see why there's still so much complaints from the old grognards about this. Fantasy gets about as much attention now, as it did back in your day. Needless to say, we rarely saw updates to books or models, and when we did all you guys ever did was whine like little girls on just about every aspect of the hobby. And now when fantasy is dead and buried, we see no updates on books or models, so you don't have to imagine spending all that money you never spent anyways back when WHFB was a thing.

>Gets overly dramatic when someone doesn't know a reference to old outdated material
I normally don't like to spout the autism meme, but I think I'm going to have to invoke it here.

Having a problem with new blood in a hobby is pretty autistic. Tabletop wargaming is not your sekret klub. People shouldn't have to endure a crucible to enjoy the same hobby you do.

When someone says they don't know what Warhammer fantasy is, you can just say "it was essentially the prequel to AoS. It was like LotR's middle Earth, but much cooler and with more war." Then point them to tw:what. Rather than "IKPTFGHMLRRTCH- HOW DARE YOU, SIR!"

Why would a kid know what WFB is? I knew fuck all about things that existed before I was born at that age too.

It would be impossible to get a game of fantasy as nobody within 100 miles plays it, and nor are they welcoming of new players.

So how is this as my first Ironjawz army?

Megaboss (Bestial Charisma, Boss Skewer) - 140
Warchanter - 80

Brutes x5 (Dual Choppas, 1x Gore Choppa) - 180
Brutes x5 (Dual Choppas, 1x Gore Choppa) - 180
Ardboys x10 - 180
Ironskull's Boyz - 80

Ironfist - 160

TOTAL: 1000/1000

No Im not saying

>doesn't know a reference to old outdated material

Im literally saying the kid didn't even know the phrase Warhammer Fantasy Battle. And was under the time, bragging away (quite loudly I might say), on how he knew so much about this new game Age of Sigmar.

Had I been a man with less integrity I would surely had slapped that kid straight, but I just stood there like "what...??".

Looks like it's ready for a good scrap user

It's not at all surprising to me that someone hasn't heard of WFB.

40k id be surprised
