Wait if Russ and Horus fight how does Horus make it to Terra? Russ is Emperors chosen Executioner who can beat any Primarch easily so whats going on here?

Russ gets his ass kicked and his whole command killed.

...

...

>Nearly got his ass beaten by Magnus
>Can win against Horus
Does this look logical to you ?

Cool b8 OP but everyone knows Russ is jobber supreme of 30k, he literally hasnt won any battle versus any primarch. He's so fucking pathetic the Khan left him to die against the Alpha legion because he was ashamed of Russ and couldnt trust him, Leman has gotten his legion ass fucked by Alpharius/Horus/Magnus and rendered powerless when he could've stayed on Terra when Dorn asked him to.

>he literally hasnt won any battle versus any primarch.
Tell that to Magnus' snapped back.

Considering Magnus is canonically the strongest Primarch and the Russ took him down anyway yes it seems logical.

>‘Magnus,’ he said to the wraith. The figure formed of silver fire gave a graceful bow.
>It has been a long while since we spoke anything of substance.
>Once, not so long ago, he would have smiled to see his wisest, most powerful brother. Now, the smile read false, and didn’t reach Lorgar’s eyes.

>Lorgar opened his eyes at last. ‘Why me? Why was I brought here? Why not Horus or Guilliman? They are the generals I will never be. Why not Sanguinius or Dorn?’ He laughed then, a sneering, private snort. ‘Why not Magnus?’
>Ingethel grinned, insofar as its mangled mouth would allow. The gods have touched many of your brothers in ways both obvious and occluded. One of them bears wings upon his back. Is that part of your Emperor’s genetic intent? Did he not wish to destroy all religious reference? Why then would he breed a son that stands as an angel incarnate?
>Lorgar brushed the point aside. ‘Enough cryptic idiocy. Why not Magnus? He is the most powerful of us all, without a shadow of doubt.’
>Magnus. Magnus the Red. The Crimson King. Ingethel laughed inside Lorgar’s mind, and gestured out onto the plains. He is already with us, whether he admits it or not. He came to us without needing to be summoned, and without ever considering the notion of faith. He came for power, because that is why all things of flesh come to us. And in five short decades, when the galaxy begins to burn, he will come here himself.

Just because primarchs say shit doesn't mean anything. Dorn thought he could take on Angron, but we all know how that would turn out.

>Just because primarchs say shit doesn't mean anything.
It means more than no quotes backing you up. Lorgar was all about Horus and how great he was, yet he adamantly think Magnus is the most powerful.

If Russ can take him then Russ can take anyone, exactly as he was designed to be able to do by the Emperor.

Russ only won because he had a hard counter in the form of sisters of silence and no small amount of luck.

Besides, we already know from Weregeld that Russ gets badly injured. He lost.

Russ was getting his ass kicked and only won while he was flailing around in pain and got a lucky strike to Magnus’ eye. Right before that he had his chest plate punched in and one of his hearts punctured, along with getting burned badly with psychic fire.

The Russ vs Magnus fight was pretty much the Captain America vs Iron man fight at the end of civil war, with Russ being Cap. Magnus got distracted just enough for Russ to deliver the back breaker on him, without that lucky opening he would have been fucking killed

Russ himself admitted that he doesn't know if he can beat Horus. Garviel Loken openly stated "Horus Lupercal will kill you" when Russ told him his intention to go after Horus.

And if we're looking at 1v1, then Angron beat Russ (yes I know the Wolves would have killed him as a result, but he won the brawl).
Also, when Corax saw Angron at Istvaan he thought fuck that, only Horus or Sanguinius would stand a chance, no mention of Russ.

NO. Laurie Goulding commented on this. Russ could have killed Angron and ended his legion then and there but choose not to.

>Laurie Goldberg

No.

Yes, the Wolves would have killed the World Eaters en masse, and I acknowledge that Russ was trying to teach Angron a lesson, but that doesn't mean that Russ wasn't fighting for his life by the end, with Angron's boot on his throat.
Even the concept of the Wolves being the anti Started legion (a concept they, but few others believed) has been debunked. In The Emperor's Legion Valerian says that it is a dirty secret of the Custodes that o e of their remit is to take out the Astartes should they need to.
Also, when the Thunder Warriors, who individually are more powerful than Space Marines, needed sanctioning after a prison riot, the World Eaters were sent in.

Apologies for spelling, filthy phone poster. Also all is canon and none of it is.

>MUH EDITOR WHO LEFT THE COMPANY
Death of the author fgt. If One Primarch is lying on the floor drooling and crawling away you cant say he on because of a maybe.

Russ gets knocked the fuck out a lot. Around 4 to my counting.

>Russ is Emperors chosen Executioner who can beat any Primarch easily
>barely beats magnus
