Humans are hardwired to find uses of things, not to destroy with great prejudice. If we can put it to use, we will keep it and alter it to serve our needs. If we can't we will expel it and keep it away from our lands, but not destroy it (high effort, low reward).

In a world of where Centaurs exist, Humans would put them to use in the same way we do horses - and we'd also instruct them in dexterous tasks and teach them quicker thanks to language. Centaurs are a straight upgrade to a normal horse, and we'd want that serving our purposes instead of killing them all off. And by not enslaving them, we don't give the Centaurs any reason to revolt against us (which a normal horse couldn't do). If we did enslave them initially, however, it wouldn't last forever.

That was just an example. You can imagine how you will what humans could use other creatures for. Humans are so resourceful and easy to form symbiotic relations with that pigs and cats volunteered to coexist with us - they aren't actually domestic, but living with humans is highly beneficial to them for survival with hardly any downsides. These animals aren't too primitive to find better ways of life away from Humans, they instead know that Humans provide a good deal and see no reason to go looking elsewhere.

Far from needing to enslave anything, it wouldn't be so strange to suppose other races would be drawn to the good deal we offer. And potential threats to Humans would quickly learn to steer clear of Human settlements and cities for fear of harsh punishments.

Feeling the need to have every race hate Humans, or have Humans kill/enslave every other race, just shows how edgy and simple-minded you are.
