Infinity General: Just Trying To Help Edition

Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where sometimes botched doctoring rolls can cause some confusion.

Finally stepping up and meeting with a local gaming group to play some games after having played the red-veil intro games for some time.
Im taking this list with, not sure what I will be facing

CwBgjAPgzCIQEgRQAQxMghgGwC4FMAnAOwxwEsA3PCATgFIZ6wwQB2OgQhge+dYFZOUMDxF8AHEPZQo7ZjRCcATJKgq6zAGySO6tZK3sOLBieZgoyzQyXXm/IyJhiQmpZzDBTX5raGWZS2Zxdy4AmQ0wELoAAVAGeLAlEB14qETk1MV0xSSU2JigA===

>Maggy as main killer, najjarun with nasmat to keep her going a bit longer
>Azzie as secondary killer
>Hawwa as hacker, with Barid to drop repeater and deal with hostile hackers
>Lasiq VSR to hold down lanes
>Lasiq VR to move it midfield and drop into supression
>Ghulam medic with nasmat to keep people going longer
>Hunz to slow people people down midfield and FO. Also second repeater
>Hafza LT will holodisguise as Ghulam FO
>Three mutts to fuck shit up

Am I making any big mistakes?

Also, does the zoc of my hawwa also count as a repeater field for my barid and vice-versa? As in, if hackable opponent enters or activates in the zoc of the Hawwa, can the barid ARO hack it as if it was a repeater field?

You don't have much in the way of anti-camo.

And no, hackers do not act as repeaters for other hackers. They can all ARO hack through a repeater though.

What would be a good-anti camo piece in the haqq roster? Or what equipment should I be looking for?

Djanbazans and whatever the sensor remotes are called.

Multispectral visors are the best things for engaging camo since they ignore the to-hit penalties, but they still need to discover the markers like anyone else. MSV2 has the added bonus of seeing through smoke, making it a lot more versatile.
Sensors can spend an order to discover all camo markers within their zone of control, and sniffers can expand that area. Can be very efficient against massed camo and sidesteps the inherent advantages that camo markers usually have.
There's also direct templates like chain rifles and flamethrowers, which can use intuitive attacks to hit camo markers at short range. They're not something to rely on completely though, at least not until you've got some experience. They're better as a backup.

how playable is this list?
Neoterran Capitaline Army

10
DEVA Lieutenant (Sensor) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24)

FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10)
FUSILIER HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 18)
FUSILIER (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)

LOCUST Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Breaker Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Shock CCW, Knife. (0.5 | 38)

FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8)

SIERRA DRONBOT HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25)

BLACK FRIAR (Albedo, Biometric Visor L1) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser, Drop Bears / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 28)

AQUILA HMG / Pistol, Shock CCW. (2 | 62)
SWISS GUARD Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) MULTI Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (0.5 | 70)
5 SWC | 295 Points

deva is beba, locust is emily, father is nisse, aquilla is orc with a hmg, fusiliers are fusiliers and a hmg spec ops, drone bots as themself.
only swiss is a problem nothing from outrage or the starter looks like him. the akalis is beefy, but not beefy enough. I though about using a hac tao or another orc as her.

>Multispectral visors are the best things for engaging camo since they ignore the to-hit penalties

It's definitely the hard counter, but not as readily available as softer counters like Mines, Flamethrowers, Sensor, Koalas/Madtraps, etc,.

Ghazi make for great camo chasers, FO remote can multi task, Naffatun carry Flamethrowers, Farzan Minelayers, higher than avg WIP, and stuff like the Zhayedan/Govads means there's plenty Haqq has for Camo shenanigans.

For a new player whats the best core team for FRRM? Loups or Briscards? Little unsure of where to put my investments to start.

Personally, I would drop the deva to fit 5 fusiliers for a full core link. A BS15 B5 HMG fusilier is nothing to sneeze at.

Loup.
Good dispersion of SWC weaponry, no hard counters

Might buy pan-o, how much of a mistake am I making? I currently play space Ottomans so I kinda want to play space crusaders

The two lasiqs might be a bit much bit I love them so I can see why you would take two. They also depend on the meta, if the opponents are running smoke/camo they are less useful, i would swap one for a djanbazan possibly. What size of board are you playing on? The sniper rifle is amazing for a huge board but the rifle + x-visor is a great choice for a 4-5' board.

my problem right now is that I have only 4 fusilier like models. 3 combi fusiliers and 1 hmg spec ops. I do plan to run a 5 man hmg+launcher link when I get the special dudes box.

You’re proxying pretty much everything else in your list, I wouldn’t worry about counting an outrage character as a fusilier instead of a deva.

pump and dump yujing girls, marry and impregnate pano girls

beba looks very much like a deva, and emily is a hexa/locust hybrid. Plus I think, I will have a deva as a Lt most of the time. What I am thinking about though is buying dire foas. Angus and Bipandra + regulars and the spec ops would give me more then enough fusiliers, I could even give angus a missle lanucher. not that I won't buy the special weapon box at some time in the future.

Marry a flighty PanO whore? Pan O women are made for pump and dump.

Haqq and Yu Jing ladies. much classier.

Go for third option in Haqqislam then, which is enslave and cuddle.

Haqqislam has the thiccest fighters, sat Lasiq sniper

Why no Best Korea units in YJ?

Why no Laotian jungle fighters?

Is there a full list of which nations joined Yu Jing/PanO each? Is every nation on earth working for one of the two?

Best Korean units would be malnourished and abused Chinese units.

*Tariq MANsuri

Morat Chicks: Hunt and Hibernate

I want Tariq to hug me.

There is no list, but most of the nations are either part of one of the powers (I think Haqqislam controls some of the MENA), or pretty much puppet states (I think most of Africa is like that, for example). It's mentioned Iceland, Israel and Nigeria are still independent, with the last one having the greatest chance to become relevant at some point.

Anyone got any Invincible Army (as it currently stands) lists? Also tips for running mass HI? I've read the infinity forums HI primer, but I value the opinions of tg too.
As the list won't have more than 10 orders, should I be ending every turn with a coordinated order suppressive fire?

What about PanO boys?

They're cute! CUTE!

...

Fire. Fielding direct template weapons such as light Flamethrowers. Do not tolerate Camo, burn it.

They look so silly heh.

You know what looks even sillier?

Anybody got a good Black Friday deal?

There was supposed to be a Blue Wolf TAG back in the days of 1st and 2nd. Sadly it was only ever featured in a small piece of art.

I wanted to buy some Customeeple stuff, like every year. But it looks they're not having a Black Friday sale.

That wasn't really Korean either. Guided missile bot is the only Korean unit so far iirc.

But hey, at least there's a Thai unit.

So looking at the armies as I get interested - which army tends to have the highest Movement across the board? Taking into account these skills I'm reading about like Climbing Plus and stuff

Look for CC-oriented armies. JSA and CHA are pretty good at moving around.
Another approach is looking at mech armies. PanO is more of a shooty-army, but you can go heavy TAG and REM and they all are fast af boi.

It's mostly about what units you take. In terms of raw movement value bikes are the fastest. If you want bikes you'd go JSA or Haq. After bikes the fastest are TAGs and REMs. Sphinx is a 6-6 TAG with climbing plus, that's mobile as fuck. But really any army can field TAGs and REMs except maybe Ariadna and Tohaa.

That's just the raw move stats though. There are also skills like Airborne Deployment, Infiltration, and Impersonation which can start you across the board, in a game that is usually limited to 3 turns sometimes the fastest thing is just starting where you need to be.

Honestly you could pick just about any faction and then stick with the "faster" units.

New USAriadna player here. Got some more games in, lost one and won one. Got to try out my Devil Dog team, and it did hella work.
Is there a lore explanation as to why the Antipode "turns off" when the Devil Dog dies though?
Also, I'm thinking of expanding my army by getting a grunt box and a Blackjack. Does this sound like a good idea?

It's a K9, user. You know what happens when a dog-handler gets shot in the line of duty? The dog goes to ground and will not move for anyone else. It won't take orders, it won't move, it won't respond.

The Blue Wolves were not explicitly Korean, but they were Yu Jing TAGs that operated for the White Banner Army. So they might as well have been.

Japs can be hilariously fast between their decent yankee bikers, Shikami, etc.

Antipodes work with a weird hive mind where three doggos makes one individual. Ariadna has taken advantage of this to basically mind control them, which is why their Antipodes need a handler. Devil Dog's buddy is basically a hack job barely smarter than a normal dog, first thing it does when it stops receiving orders is get the fuck away from all this gunfire.

Disgraceful djazban and naffatun

Kum w/ Chain Rifle can also work

Grunts are a solid link. The sniper is nice and cheap. Personally I don't like blackjacks and think their model is GW terrible.

>doesn't like The Winning Hand

Trash taste. Blackjack's only flaw is the edgy lore

Fair enough I suppose
>Personally I don't like blackjacks and think their model is GW terrible.
It doesn't matter I guess, cause they're all out stock anyway.
What are some other options I can go for?

Please tell

What is everyone's opinion on the RPG?

Is it just me, or is it kinda weird that people are more likely to die to a doctor than to someone shooting them in the face?
I mean, I get it back in the days of old medicine, but this is the future man.

>The Pangguling is produced by the factories from the Nakhonthai Thai region, on planet Shentang, as a sign of the plurality of the glorious Yu Jing StateEmpire.
human-sphere.com/index.php?title=Yaopu_Pangguling

I take it as abstraction, represents the doc either being unable to save them or just unable to get them back on their feet. The game probably wouldn't benefit from rules where a doctor drags an unconscious dude back to the dropship so he can spend weeks recovering in a space hospital.

It's kind of amusing. My favorite being the fact that Paramedics are usually taken not only for ITS specialists but also because you intentionally kill your own unconcious troops in order to slot in units from your second combat group into the first if it was otherwise full from starting 10 strong.

Also Russia may still operating some Colonies around Jupiter, so they're assumed to be independent.

Sure, Medicine may be better in the future, but weapons are more destructive.

Can't be easy shoving someone's organs back in in such a way that allows them to murder other people while being shot at by the enemy and yelled at by almost everyone.

Bought operation icestorm and beyond icestorm, housemate bought the Tohaa 300pt and I nearly bought the combined but decided not to. Cost €130 in all, not bad.

>civil society is bad

goddamned Nomads

I figure it's not "stop the bleeding" but rather "shoot them full of adrenaline to get them killing again"

>civil society has one strict definition

Not sure if Yu Ching or Pan O...

I understood that is how medkits work (just add some nano mumbojumbo to the mix). Unconsicious troop is somewhat of a Schrödingers cat, either dead or a alive. Doctor roll is as much detecting, whether this patient can be helped by this doctor's skill. So a failed roll could mean the wound suffered is too severe to heal immediately.

> Unconsicious troop is somewhat of a Schrödingers cat

Do Fusilier Paramedics have hammers in their medikits?

112 emergency for Adriana have that sweet axe for quick mercy killing.

68th for Acontecimento

The only flaw was that the box didn't give us two Blackjacks, the other one representing Lo-Tech A

Behold: the most Polish Infinity table!

Desperados are a crazy good addition too.

I think Lo-Tech A will be basically the same, but with "severe system damage".

Basically pointless. Its like saying each of Tohaa models must have their own inactive state models.

Fusilier Angus is cute.

I'll would rather recommend the box of Marauders instead of the Grunts.

I'd recommend the Minutemen over the Marauders over the Grunts.

I get the joke because sausage and beer, but is that a good amount of terrain?

I hear the Warsaw championship is going on now?

Why the marauders? More advanced deployment shenanigans?
Why the Minutemen? Just cause they're really good fighters?

Solid statlines, cheap cost, unique loadouts, and 4-4 MOV.

bump for advice

Right, finished painting my second infinity model, (first one being tech bee) and now working on order sergeants (I liked the look) thoughts on the colour scheme? (yes I did 2 thin coats with thinned paint, gw paints)

I am also gonna maybe have my first introduction game at the legs next week! Can't wait.

Fuuuuuuuu

Yea, I took a few pics of the tables there. I'll post them in a minute if you want to.
I didn't take part, I'm too shit.

imgur.com/a/XU76U

That's not all of the tables. Taken with phone camera, sorry.

>Tfw you were registered and got sick the day before

The pic is a little blurry, but that's an old Maggie on top of the transport plane.

When I saw what the scenarios were I regretted not signing up. But I think I had enough ass-whopping from Sathuli for life.

It's a bit open, but I think those placards are supposed to be difficult terrain and/or saturation zones.

You can train on me when I finish painting my Haqqis.

>Infinity RPG Core Book has Reverend Agent and even Hassassin Fiday career options
>but not even an Order Sergeant, let alone a Knight

I know Knights will probably be described in more detail in the PanO book, but come on.

ten smak solonego kabanosa....

>Joan of ARC

If you're going pure Invincible Army, you're playing Vanilla.

Yes, I snuck a Wu Ming in there, but it's worth it for that profile.

>obvious HMG HI lt

Any advice on making an ISS army?

I like the idea of running a Penal Legion type force but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the options on display.

>it's still a HI LT with automedkit

What exactly is going on in this image?

1. Get Kuang Shis
2. Get Kuang Shis
3. Rui Shi
4. Oh yeah, Kuang Shi controller and some hacker to enable remotes
5. Some HIs. Most are good or decent. Wu Ming Duo can be cheap and effective doorkicker unit and they make a decent pain train as a Core link. Su Jian is just Bullshit in positive sense. Crane and Hsien give you more tools to fuck camo.
6. Sophotect ofc. and yudbots
7. Some filler and oddballs, such as ninja, Dakinis and Garuda. All are pretty good in their tasks as effective order grabbers or cheapish beatsticks with some nice skill. Maybe some Celestial Guard or even Pheasant CoC if you fear for your lieutenant.

I'd start with that kind of roster. There are much more options and many of those are at least interesting if not even good, but those kind of units are what I see most often.

If you're as much as 7 pts under, you should try to work something in. Even as little as a second Yaozao for your engi.
