>Post opening hand (no mulligan), guess commander. Using tappedout playtest mode because I'm too lazy to get a good photograph of the physical cards, but I'll play.
I'd probably keep it. It's not the world's greatest hand though.

Spaghetti?
Ethan Perez
I'd probably keep this.
Connor Lopez
>Angry Avacyn Got it. I decided to move forward with the test. T6 able to land Guardian Angel with Sunbird's into my choice of Day of Judgment or Ravages of War (probably Ravages), Magus of the Disk in hand for next turn even if I wipe lands. Naturally, if it were a real game, Avacyn would eat a counterspell right there.
Here's another, should be easy to guess. Hard choice to throw it back or not, probably depending on what I'm facing as a table. Should probably throw it back.
Julian Moore
Scorp God? Pretty generic Rakdos
Ezuri
Uhhh R/G Omnath?

Connor Ross
E-Celebs throwing shit at each other. Just ignore it.
Brandon Ward
Lazav?
Colton Fisher
nope. I can see why you might think that with the RA and Keeper, though.
John Long
I am also lazy I don't actually have a reliquary tower in there, I must have put that in by accident
Elijah Fisher
Meren?
>Pic Related 0/10 would throw right back. Also probably impossible to guess, will do another hand for the same deck if folks try and are way off base.
Camden Gomez
Short summary, cosplayer Christine Sprankle announces her departure from MtG, names MTGHQ as a primary source of harassment. MTGHQ denies it, or doubles down, people post some mildly objectionable stuff he's done, he gets death threats. Now you've got one group of people calling for his head, and another spamming cuck.
Nicholas Smith
No Rashmi?
Alexander Gray
I'm still waiting... Cmon guys this should be easy.
Here's my other deck it should be even easier. p.s. good luck beating this hand
Lucas Anderson
So he's still a faggot who doesn't play the game and bitches and moans while starting shit? Lame
Anthony Flores
>Rashmi? And here's hand 2. Still not great but I don't think I'd go to 6 over it. Free mull, sure.
Oliver Murphy
White/green lands?
I'm honestly baffled, but it could be Saffi ft. Lands.

So I've got a friend.
He's been playing EDH (Magic in general, actually) for about 6 months.
Once he learned how to actually play the game he went on a netdecking frenzy and just researched EDH and magic super hardcore
So he has this "booksmarts" take on magic, he knows a hell of a lot about competitive EDH decks and shit, but he has very little in-game experience compared to me and most of the rest of the group.
So this weird thing keeps happening. His first deck he built was a stax control deck (with no combos that just drags the game out forever), now his second deck is a combo deck that either wins on turn 4 or dies miserably after a single counterspell.
This would all be fine with me, however he doesn't actually enjoy playing them. He feels like a dickhead when he drags the game out with stax, and he gets a momentary high from the combo deck but then apologizes and switches back to his stax deck, even though no one asks him to.
It's a really strange situation. It's like he has an aversion to just playing a regular fucking EDH deck like everyone else does because he spent so much time researching the gay shit that try hards play.
What should I do? Should I do anything? He feels really guilty playing the decks he has spent good money on (More money than any of my decks cost.) and I hate to think that he has and will continue to waste his money on shit he isn't enjoying.
Henry Miller
[[Kormus Bell]]
Zachary Wood
Nope not meren
Nicholas Evans
Sounds like he enjoys winning, and is just being apologetic to deflect anger.
Just say "hey man, seems like you're not actually enjoying those stax and combo decks much. Want some advice on other archetypes?"
Christian Wilson
O-Katagachi? Phage
Jayden Russell
It's sasaya
Josiah Reed
Get together with your group and put down a budget deckbuilding challenge. $75 is what I've found works best. It's enough to get a few pricier cards while still being required to make some cuts to stay under budget. When you're building something cheap you pay a lot more attention to the roles of the cards in your deck, and it gives you a greater appreciation for when things go well, which seems to be a problem for him, not paying attention to what he enjoys.
Grayson Lewis
Ayyyyy good work and good dubs
Jackson Green
>O-Katagachi? dingdingding! I was hoping someone would get it from the more obvious spirit tribal, but I did test out at third hand that happened to show the 5C identity better.
Andrew Martin
Sounds like he should be playing a competitive format not EDH
Adrian Gutierrez

How to beat kruphix god of horizons?
Tryhard in our playgroup keeps shitting on us with it
I have meren, kaalia, atraxa, budget is not a limitation

Ramos?
Christian Taylor
Most important parts of the build would be the mana base and the sac engine. You want lots of dorks to fuel Meren, I would say at least 4. Elves of Deep Shadow and Birds for sure. Also you want all the best rocks (crypt, sol ring, chrome mox, felwar stone since you don't have a talisman, vault not so much since you won't have a lot of high cmc).
Your main strategy will be to use Meren to recur cheap creatures with etb effects for maximum value. You want sac synergy cards like Viscera Seer and Grave Pact as well as workhorse creatures with repeatable effects like Fleshbag and Brain Maggot. Check out this list
>Post opening hand (no mulligan), guess commander.
Swamp, Swamp, Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth, Massacre Worm, Death Cloud, Draco, Sword of Light and Shadow.
One of these cards gives it away.
Nicholas Bennett
How much of a That Guy am I if I join a playgroup and ask if I can run nonlegendary commanders
Volrath
Matthew Gomez
>Post opening hand (no mulligan), guess commander.
Nathaniel Wilson
Yidris then
Volrath, too easy because of Draco
Ask if they are interested in playing Ambassador and present some fun choices like those you posted.
Ian Bell
Yidris and you'll tutor for ramp
Bentley Wright
Cyclonic Rift should be banned
Camden Brown
seedborne muse should be banned first

Post decks that are fun in multiplayer and don't make everyone hate you.
Anthony Wood
>no deck where I can tag out my creatures with other creatures through bounce effects, shuffling them back into the deck or saccing them Jalira and Yisan are almost there but I would like something that isn't monocolor
Levi Roberts
It's grouphug, but not, but kind of.
Anthony Powell
If only transfigure were a fleshed out mechanic, that would be almost GB in MtG.
Ryan Taylor
Yeah if there were more of those and maybe a couple more ninjutsu cards I think it would be possible to make a deck with the same kind of feel as GBs. Did maro ever say where transfigure is on the storm scale?
Josiah Gomez
Look, I fixed Samut. Now I won't feel bad for playing her.
Mason Russell
Nice trips, speedster.
Gavin Rivera
That's the same except for the art, no? Also why doesn't she just have "Creatures you control have haste" rather than breaking it into two statics?
Isaac Barnes
Nope
Andrew Adams
>her
Jonathan Ward
She's a boring but decent Commander. But her art is just atrocious.
Cameron Long
I'm building this, post list.
James Barnes
The art is a huge improvement but she's still a fucking mess of stapled design.
