I would love to run OP's pic as the big bad of my groups first turf war! I keep finding reasons to convert models for this game. I am making my wife a Gor Half-horn by getting the raging heroes female commissar and putting a beastman head on her.

A Spyrer patriarch would definitely make for a good end boss...their profile in the old necromunda was absolutely beastly.

That's a real model! what book?!

files.sigil.biz/data/fm_02_death_stalks_the_underhive.pdf
Old supplement for Necromunda, there were 10 models for them in total (two varieties each of orrus, malcadon, jakara and yeld as well as the matriarch and patriarch).

nevermind about my google-fu was strong. Im off to fucking Ebay! I'm going to buy Spyers so fucking hard, and start working of updated rules! The last round of the turf war each gang fights a Spyer gang led by either a patriarch or matriarchy depending on how they roll.

It's me, Binderanon. About to start watching Casablanca, so I'll start scanning the beginner and advanced rules and have them up in a little while.

You're a blessing to us all.

Appreciater of this thread. My local store sings yout wishes also. Fuck GW, long live the hive.

Huh, maybe this could also be a cool "keep the Overlord in check" mechanic. Once you get an Overlord with a Gang Rating of over 2000, they are Ambushed by a Spyrer Gang during Downtime as the Gang has caught the eye of the uphivers.

Enforcers when? I want to add some to my current team.

Anyone else a bit disappointed in the rules for Juves becoming Champions? In the old game, when Juves became Gangers they were an advance ahead. Now when Juves become Champions they're 8 advances behind. I did the math and to get a Goliath Juve to the same point as a Goliath Champion requires 72xp and an increase of 235 gang rating. They're not so much "future heroes" as "cheap meat".

Same question here. I've got my Mechanicus Enforcers (currently working on a Champion, actually) ready to go, but I get the feeling we won't have rules till late 2018 at best.

Yes, I thought it would have been nice if it just went Juve to Ganger to Champ to Leader

Here we go my blueberries. This is the Rules to the Basic Rules.

Now let's keep things nice- GW puts out an okay product with some top notch models.

Not all user's wear capes, thank you for being a good person.

Also
>Now let's keep things nice
I really like how they handled movement in this new edition, and how everything is broken up into actions instead of phases. Makes the game feel more organic and dynamic.

Anyone care to comment on my starting gang for Gang War? Wondering where I should spend my last 35 credits. I really wish there were better hand options as I don't feel like converting spudjackers and grenades into axes and cleavers.

Leader with Grenade Launcher and Power Hammer
Champion with Renderizer
Champion with Combat Shotgun and Spudjacker(Or convert grenade throwing hand to axe.)
Ganger with Grenade Launcher and Stub Gun
Ganger with Stub Cannon
Ganger with Brute Cleaver and Spudjacker
Ganger with Stub Cannon and Knife

Thinking I should either add a Juve with two Stub Guns or give my leader a Stub Gun and the champion with the Renderizer a Stub Cannon (If the group I play with is lax on wysiwyg)

Okay my blueberries. Here is the last of what I will be uploading. My conscience is catching up with me. I'm a sentimentalist. Check out Casablanca when you get the chance, it's a great flick with some great material for some cool scenario ideas.

When the time is right and you can afford too, I encourage you to pick up the Gangwars book or just use Scananons, I'm not your boss.

>Tfw try to find something to replace Escher's ugly Las, plasma and fart thrower gun/

what is wrong with their las? Goliath's combat shotgun looks like a fucked up stormbolter. without the named character building instructions I would have thought my opponents were just proxying.

Thank you for the scans!

>it's a great flick with some great material for some cool scenario ideas.
how can you do casablanca scenarios

Just off the top of my head, you could do a sort of baby sitter mission to get a high value couple to an airfeild. Or you could do a sort of shoot out in a cantina or something.

>baby sitter

Look man, I'm a pirate, not an author.

Barrel too thin and frail. And the laspistol, probably amongs the ugliest pistol out there, even in the concept art that thing is ugly. Actually in some of the concept there're a lasgun that look like an Anti-material rifle, Why didn't they made that.

The shitty thing about the lasweapon is you get like 6 on the already tiny sprue (together with a giant, ugly shock whip that take up a good chunk of the sprue) Can I have 1 more shotgun on 1 sprue please, that thing look 100 times better.

Can we complain about the goliath sprue, actually? The sprue for the "close combat" faction that comes with a grand total of 3 CC weapons?

Four (forgot about the renderizer). Still not enough.

I'm hoping FW releases some of the factions while GW handles the original six, so the schedule is sped up a bit. Pretty much all of the expanded gangs are infinitely better than the originals.

They've already stated Arbites 100% won't be in the game, but they himted at enforcers.

I'm also hoping White Dwarf actually thinks through their rules for GSC and CC. Hopefully they're not half-assed like the expanded rules for SW:A.

Not a great kit either (only 4 unique mohawk so it's pretty boring.) But at least all of the weapons are unique.

Good thing is they come with 3 Respirator head, and one respirator to hang on the belt. Better than 2 respirator head on Escher. Like wtf do I care if the head have mouth piercing or nose piercing, or fucking Eyepatch, but no useful gear like Respirator????

CC weapons for Goliath are fairly open and easy to swap around due to their fairly bulky build. Ork boy bit, marine bit, scout bit.

>Arbites
why the hell would they be in the game, that'd be like dropping a tiger in a room full of toddlers. I'm sure people are just confusing them for enforcers and requesting them based on that,

respirators don't have to be modeled.

Arbites do occasionally end up in the underhives while making investigations.

Also, I'm not requesting they show up as playable. They should still be available for a GM to shut down someone getting too far ahead.

yes they do

To be fair, these kits were DEFINITELY designed to not me WYSIWYG. They lack so many options that you can't make a decent gang without a ton of modifications.

If you plan to be playing WYSIWYG plan to spend a ton on extra sprews, or wait until they charge you extra with the weapon kits in a couple months.

page 25 of Gang Wars. Only weapons have to be modeled. Wargrear and grenades don't have to be modeled. Clearly laid out in a red box. One of the few rules that are fully explained. Read the fucking book before telling other people the rules.

sorry. that was meant for

What are you building/painting for your gang tonight, anons?

I'm working on my Goliaths.

Not sure if I'll stick with them or switch to another gang. I don't really like the look of them or the Eschers, but Orlocks are months away.

Unfortunately nothing, because I can't get my plastic glue unclogged.

Take a lighter and heat up with metal bit. It'll flow easily.

Just be careful because there's a good chance the glue will catch on fire. Blow it out.

Tried that, still fucked. I'm going to buy a couple really tiny drill bits the next time I go to the store.

Heat up the metal bit*

Working on a Champion for my Mechanicus-themed Enforcers. Next up is greenstuff to fill some gaps, then it's on to painting time. Hopefully.

You mean the fact that all the good weapons are left handed, so you can't do what should be the default build of Stub Gun+Brute Cleaver without conversion?

Or the fact that they give you three metal spike hairpieces and only two actual hair hairpieces, and the hair determines which direction the head is facing?

Or that they waste four faces on Respirators like you're gonna build your gang with hard counters like a dick?

Superglue or plastic cement?

Go to a hardware store and buy a quart of MEK (Real MEK, not the MEK substitute which is actually perfume filler) and then pour some of it into a glass jar like the bottles Testors paint comes in. Then apply it with an old sable brush.

Plastic cement is just MEK with a little bit of plastic dissolved in it as a filler.

Took me a minute to realize that it's based on a blood bowl lineman.

Is that the same as in plastruct plastic weld? If so I've tried that as well.

Thanks for the core rulebook scans. Btw, I do already have the rulebook and Gang War but I'm now using yours as a digital version since they are such good quality.

that is a really sweet conversion

>Mechanicus Enforcers
The hwhat now?

Enforcers are basically whatever the upper echelons use to keep the peace. It's not completely unbelievable that they might have some mechanicus forces. Especially if it's a territory held by the mechanicus. (They even have their own whole city on Terra, basically a no-go zone for non-mechanicus forces. )

Use revell plastic glue.
That stuff is magical.
I have 25g one and even though i have built over 2 40k armies and one bolt action army it hasnt run out.

Do you have some kind of a blog or something? I think I asked that a few months back when you were starting with your skitarii-Arbites

Specialist Games is a subdivision for Forge World to begin with.

Thank you based binderanon, great stuff. Will probably still use the rules transcript, since that one isn't divided into "basic" and "advanced" rules, but it is really nice to have the original rules to refer to.

The trouble with Miniature Led Design is that the rules writers have to write around whatever the miniature designers put out. They usually get some input into the modelling process, but it's still Minis First.

sup dudes,

could I get some critique on my Esher list please? I redid everything once the rules got posted.

Looks good. 50/50 split of longer range and short range/melee stuff, and you've made me realise that you don't need to put the Chem Thrower on a champion.

Thanks. I think the chem thrower's better on a simple ganger, as it means it's not on an expensive champion that you're gonna miss once they inevitably die.

also the champion has the better BS which you need to maximise

Yeah, those benefits leaped out as soon as I realised it was possible. There's a downside of putting a very expensive gun on a regular, 1 wound ganger, but honestly the second wound isn't that much of bonus given how abundant higher damage weapons are.

Sorry, I'm not that user. I just like the lore. :P

...

You're givng the most expensive equipment in the game to a 1W model.

My general experience with the Chem-Thrower is "gets Renderized if she doesn't down her target," so I'm not sure how useful the 2nd wound will be. Might turn out being more important in Gang War.

It's real good to be able to browse the rules while I'm away from home. Thanks to the kind anons who scanned that stuff in.

We haven't been losing enough models in my store's Necromunda layout so I'm building more terrain.

I think it's too symmetrical right now but some battlefield debris should help break it up a little. I may also add some more plasma conduits.

I wish I had infinite money to buy endless terrain kits with. The aesthetic is good to begin with, but everything being compatible with each other is STRONG.

See, I think the mechanicus terrain looks nice when there's a lot of it but otherwise it looks pretty bad.

Yeah, I'm wondering how well it will mix with other aesthetics (both Sector Imperialis and the non-GW stuff I have). I figure that, at the start, the modularity of it will let me assemble it as single terrain pieces/facilities and later, when I have more, I can spread it out into a sprawl.

I do wonder how many times I'll be able to clip bits together before it wears down and forces me to use glue, though.

I don't, but I plan on starting one once I get painting. Life has been conspiring to stop me from doing much work, but in about two weeks I can start things up again.

So, the push-fit Ryza STC ruins are an aesthetic match to the Sector Mechanicus range and has pipe fittings to tie in the Promethium Relay Pipes or Thermic Plasma Conduits. They don't line up with the Sector Mechanicus deck plates, though, and lack sockets for the clips.

None of those pieces line up with the old Cities of Death modular terrain, which are shorter and narrower than the Sector Mechanicus components. They're also badly proportioned on their own, with poor tolerances between components; floors don't line up with walls and it's impossible to build a square structure without shimming or cutting down components. If you want to do anything other than a ruined corner, be prepared to cut your own floors from styrene card.

The Wall of Martyrs range is self-contained and includes the Void Shield Generator, which is itself a stand-alone piece. There are a couple of pipe fittings which you can connect to the various pipes and conduits, but those have to be shimmed up because the position is slightly off.

The Imperial Bastion is only modular with itself, but the walls are flat so you can put it in line with a Wall of Martyrs trench or glue a pipe fitting to it.

>I wish I had infinite money
You don't really need huge amounts of money to fill a table with bought scenery if you go somewhere else.
Even the Mantic plastic scenery featured here as well is a bit cheaper than GW as well.
Tehnolog is a russian company that used to be distributed by other companies internationally, but they also made modular plastic kits for 28mm games. That stuff used to be the officially endorsed scenery for Urban War.

The cheapest thing is building stuff yourself though.

can you add equipment and weapons form the Trading Post at gang creation or just House specific stuff until after game 1?

I know some of the weapons are cheaper or non-Rare when you buy from your House, but I really would like to mix up the starting equipment a little.

can't seem to see it ruled one way or another in the Gang War book but tending to House first, Trading Post later

Thanks for the scans, allowed me to confirm that while the game probably runs fine it's got some things I'm not keen on compared to other skirmish games.

>shit talking about CoD

Man, don't I know it. Again, a good 40k aesthetic, but they're a fucking chore to build.

Good thing to hear about the Ryza ruins though. I picked some up recently for scatter terrain.

Not until after game 1. It's not said explicitly, but when you're making a gang you use your House list, not the trading post.

The question has come up before, and I get the feeling that most people would be happy to house rule it. Still worth checking with whoever you want to play with, though.

If it is anything like Underhive you are locked to those starting weapon lists till you can get yourself to the trading post.

I could see campaigns house ruling allowing gangs to start off with a few of their creds able to be spent in the Trading post for more variety in that first game.

I'm sure most would use such an option to make their leader a bit more of a character.

Care to gives examples of what you don't like? I haven't seen much of other games so am interested to see if other games do some things better which we could integrate into our house rules.

Hey I have a bit of a lore question. I always understood that Las weaponry was considered pretty godly shit outside of the IG (specifically Cadia) and that most people had to make do with solid slug throwing auto weapons, if that, but every Escher model seems to be equipped with fancy las weaponry and the Goliath figured look like they have honest to god boltguns. What gives?

How easy are the line backers to convert? Most of their poses seem fairly dynamic from what I've seen. Great mini by the way.

Rummaging through my bits to see what I can kitbash into something that I could use for a 'counts as' gang. Pic related is an older mini I've made that I'm thinking about using but I'm not sure what I could/should use him as.

Kurgan?

There's no scans of the scenarios in here!!!

Looks deadly.

Are those blood bowl bodies? Love it.

thanks, thought that was it, guess it might be allowed in future Gang War versions when/if expanded weapons lists are brought out HEAVY STUBBERS for example

started putting my gang together last night, still thinking of colour schemes

House Escher, besided making loads of chems, also cranks out enough lasguns to have a surplus. Gangs also tend to have support from their houses in the new books, rather than it just being a shared origin point for all the members, so in this case House Escher makes enough lasguns that gangs can get access to them easily and cheaply.

As for Goliaths, Stub Cannons are literally oversized revolvers. They're the sort of thing that regular humans aren't strong enough to handle, but house Goliath cranks them out anyway for their own internal use. Simple technology, just scaled up to the point where only a stim boosted monster can use it.

Which is how we wind up with useless crap like the Rivet Cannon.

It wouldn't surprise me if in Gang War 3, where the trading post list is rumoured to be expanding, that we get a whole new type of campaign. In name, at least. In effect I'm sure it'll just be a better version of what's in GW1.

>check this guy out
One of my favorite people in the hobby. I still need to build a train one day.

Design wise I'm okay with there being repurposed industrial kit, but rules wise...it's a heavy weapon with a 9'' range. On a gang whose main weakness is their slow speed. There's no reason to take one instead of a grenade launcher.

I finally got around to building the Technolog sets now that Necromunda came out and I wish I bought more. The Platformer stuff was way too flimsy, but the Hexagon stuff is amazing.

If no one scans them by the time I get home ~2 hours, I'll do it. :)

They are!

The model isn't mine, but they honestly don't seem to hard to convert. It's mostly just an arm swap.

...

Spirited Away would be and interesting setting, although it would be super expensive to build a scale model of it for terrain.

I've seen pictures of vertical Necromunda terrain boards before. Basically like except each room/platform is open on one side to put figures in and all connected by ladders/stairs.

It's totally impractical for most people though. More of a show/convention thing of course.

Oh, absolutely. I'd still like to build a Dredd tower block some day.

How dense can you actually get Necromunda terrain before it starts going from cool to inconvenient?

Yeah, thanks to that guy I bought I toy train set a while ago on ebay.
I had big plans for that too. I don't even have a table though. So probably not the best impulse buy.

Oh most definitely, they're awesome! The downside to vertical boards is that often how much of a hassle it is to move around with them.

This is probably my favorite.

Every floor is fully detailed.
