buy bock foam, saw in half, use spoon to hollow out areas until bottom half fits in nicely, procede to do same to other half of foam to top.
its really pretty easy, and foams cheap, i make my own foam holders for all my guys, and just put them in those 5 dollar bins you get at walmart, then on tourney day, load up the hand truck, bungee cord them nice and im ready to play

For starters, you're probably better off magnetizing or making the sail detachable. After that, it's just a really really big Raider. Get a sufficiently large enough foam tray, pluck/carve to fit, and you're good to go. And with anything Dark Eldar, be gentle and avoid stabbing yourself on the pointy bits.

Look into Vallejo paints - they're a brand of similar quality and content, with a big ol' conversion chart for GW paint names to Vallejo's equivalent

yellow is easy if you prime it in yellow.

They're doing some holiday deals right now if you really need them all. Usually just getting the same base colors will get you far enough though, Duncan uses a lot of extraneous colors on little things that nobody will notice if you don't paint perfectly.

let's say you're painting a firewarrior with black pants, white and red armor, thats 3 color.ranges for which you need a basecoat, a highlight, and a shade(or if you use 1 shade for multiple colors lets add a second basecoat color for better/easier coverage).
for that you already need a total of 9 colors.
now, include some grey and grey highlight for grenades and weapon handles and stuff as well as the 3 bluegreys for the skin and your on 15 colors.
want to paint the base too? basecoat and drybrush > 2 more colors
and thats not really a fancy model with tons of special stuff needing extra colors like eyes, belts, blade/weapon medal, gold ornaments etc. etc.

The Battletech General has a collection of fluffy lists that can be made straight out of the starter box for the various Great Houses. Maybe we should rig up some Starter Lists - find a point value that all the Start Collecting boxes can build to and make lists for each box?

example, patrol, you must take 1 hq and 1troops, but you can also take a 2nd hq, 2 more troops, and 2 of the elites, fast attack, heavy, flying
basically if it says 1-2 you must take 1, but can take up to 2, and 0-2 you dont have to take any, but can take up to 2.

If you honestly believe guard are not the bottom of the barrel when it some to being interesting, you're an idiot or a retarded HFYfag who thinks "lol, there normal people in a setting of monsters and they survive with muh flashlight and muh balls of steel"
There are some regiments which are actually interesting and fit the setting, like the death korps, but as a whole guard stick out like a sore thumb with the fact that the only flaw they have as a whole is the retardedness of their strategies, which makes them not fit a setting where one of the major points is that everyone is a horrible monster.

The only benefit I see for making multiple dettachments is that you get more command points. (command points are used for re-rolls?)

Guillman's struggle with the emperor's divinity is unironically the best written and most interesting internal conflict of any primarch.
Also, space romans are awesome, you shut your mouth, the issue is most people don't actually make them space romans.
And if anything, Guillman is a mixture of Augustus and Constantine the great.
