I've found that past 2001, it's hard to find decent BL novels. There's so much fun shit in the old ones, not just tie in novels to latest releases featuring all the crap you can buy in miniature form.

Aren't BL a little bit early with this siege stuff? We haven't even covered Wolf Cull or Beta Garmon (not that I'm complaining, but BL should end the shit it started before going to the main event)

Even the tie-in releases used to be good. Gordon Rennie's Gothic War series was blatantly just a tie-in for BFG. And it was awesome, reflected the actual game play, and is probably still the best portrayal of Dark Eldar in the BL other than Torturer's Tale.

Some do it better than others, but basically yes. Every legion can use a rite of war called "pride of the legion" that allows you to take terminators (and veterans) as troops. Along with the fact you get 3 HQ slots in ages of darkness games, this means you can take fairly small, elite forces with every legion if you wish.

Wait until January for the ebook, only limited ed book released for now.

I usually associate tie-in novels as something that comes out the same time. Like you got Admech codex and models released and there's 2-3 novels specifically about the Admech and Skitarii. Or they release a campaign box and you get a novel for the campaign and novels for the characters in the campaign. Shit like that.

Wolf Cull will be covered in a book next year.

So maybe 3 more books(5 if we count anthologies)
