Blood Angels is actually a really good chapter tactic for Dreadnoughts, even before factoring in their unique faster ones and turbofast librarian: Red Thirst means that even the lowest strength dread close combat weapons will wound anything short of a Titan on a 2+. (Hell, even then I can even think of a pretty simple combo to get a Leviathan dread wounding a Warlord Titan on a 2+)

The downside being that a librarian dread for some reason only gets 3 attacks, so needs to make his second power the quickening to really capitalise on his absurd speed.

Wrap the stem in masking tape.

This is why I always have the brush primer on hand. If I fuck up and forget a piece after priming or I want to change their weapon after priming, the brush primer is super useful.

Just prime it like normal, then use transparent primer on the stick.

Painting on the sprue is usually bad because you still have to file down the parts where you cut.
