>What is KDM Kingdom Death: Monster is a board game where you play a bunch of cavemen stuck inside the world of the Kingdom Death, a setting full of freaky (and sometimes psychosexual) monsters. It's basically Monster Hunter meets Berserk.
It's also well known for its a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign and thicc optional pinups.
>How do I buy it? You just missed the preorder window this past Black Friday. Be on the look out for a Christmas sale, there might be restocks of the 1.5 base game and/or 1.0 expansions.
>Why is the game not coming out till 2020? It's being delivered in 4 waves. The first wave shipped the new 1.5 core game and upgrade-boxes for 1.0 editions.
>What is included in the Box/Expansions/Gamblers Chest? Read the kickstarter, or check the contents collages posted soon.
>WHERE ARE 1.5 RULEBOOK SCANS??????? 1.5 scans are coming and are partially complete. Piidee Effer has already promised the 1.5 version will be better organized, as well as have bookmarked PDFs.
>I don't want the minis, I don't want to play using TTS, this game is too expensive. Suck it up and pay the price.
If you really don't want the models, resell the models to recoup initial costs, and use PDFs and printable standees.
Whoever makes next thread, please re-host this image.

Replace the Gambler with this bad boy.
Bentley Bennett
Each one of those heads will have to be glued on separately and they each have very specific and very slightly different notches.
David Walker
There's one thing frustrating me, and that is I already have a male survivor in lion armor with two katars as one of my minis. Which means it will be redudant with the one in the chest for representation purposes. Or maybe I have to create twin users of dual katars, who'll die young...
Nicholas Robinson
I can't fit prologue survivor A's face into his goddamn head. No matter what I try he comes out with a huge seem and a five head
Andrew Parker
Is Scanon just going to do the rule book or will he be doing gear cards and shit too?
Austin Turner
you realize you can trim the knob for his face right?
Dominic Wright
Rulebook, cards were already scanned minus First Day typo edits.
Daniel Hughes
Thats good.
If anyone has it on hand or has a link, could you please post it?
Grayson Robinson
A bunch of links were posted last thread.
Juan Miller
Those were for the rulebook. I'm looking for the gear card scans.
Henry Butler
After just finishing the phoenix hands I really don't want this to be true but I know that's what's going to end up happening.
Hunter Peterson
The gambler chest is gone for those who missed the kickstarter right?
Christopher Edwards
It will probably go to retail in his store but you can expect to pay a pretty penny for it later
Jayden Wright
Is there any gamefinder of people running games online on tabletop simulator for other online-only plebs to play?
James Fisher
obviously meant for
Blake Rodriguez
Scanon here. In response to guy: Scans were made directly into PDFs not raw images. If this it means I have to rescan them then I'm very sorry it's not going to happen, at least not any time soon. When I get to scaning the story events and glossary I will do so n raw images for future use.
Christopher Rodriguez
Put the PDF's up on sendspace or mega or something.
Ryan Ortiz
I can use the PDF's. I don't need raw images. I just don't have the mega link. Just have the mega link for the rulebook scans.
Dylan Clark
I'll try my best to work with the PDFs, then.
It's a pain but I'll make it work.
Colton Diaz
They're damn decent quality!
Brody Stewart
So I found a russian recaster who does some Kingdom death stuff, is there any chinaman doing recasts for the game?
Parker Perry
Addendum: There was a software update that made merging PDFs a much lesser pain than yesteryear. I'll still be extracting the images for those that want them.
Colton Lopez
Get fucked
Hunter Diaz
Page 30 is missing.
Justin Reed
I bought literally every expansion but missed out on the gambler's chest, and I'm regretting it so badly. Feeling fucked. Hope it gets sold again, and isn't split up.
Ayden Sanders
>he missed out on $5 per mini
Samuel Butler
$5 per mini? The Gambler's Chest has 46 minis in it and was going for $100 in the KS. That's almost $2 per mini.
$2 for the fucking Gambler himself.
Robert Anderson
>$100 When?
Cameron Williams
During the fucking KS. Did you not read what I wrote?
Nicholas Jones
After the Kickstarter preorders ended, the Gambler's chest went up on Backerkit during Black Friday. But it costed way more. I assume that's the one you preordered.
Isaac Harris
>costed
Ayden Price
s-shut up, I've been drinking.
Ryan Hernandez
So have I
Nathan Gomez
Anyways, the chest was on Backerkit for like $225 which puts the minis around $5 each. Not as good as the KS preorders, but still not bad considering things like pinups cost $25 normally.
Julian Barnes
Dear god please tell me kings man doesn't work like i think he does.
Does he literally wreck every survivor in the zone with 3 attack rolls each?
I thought i was well prepared but I have so far not seen anything that would even be close to able to deal with his shenanigans, even with leather armour just 2 hits and you are rolling severe injuries.
Juan Bell
use dash nigga it's your only hope
Nathan Torres
You think innovating 7 years in a row would get you paint huh?
Isaac Price
He sure does. Better make some monster grease so he doesn't fuck your ass dry
Ethan Jenkins
+1 evasion doesn't help much, statisticly speaking its still 2 hits + whatever shenanigans his random AI card is.
Oliver Robinson
Don't forget that if his target is in contact he'll do a backstep just so he can hit more people(and collide with survivors in his weak spot)
Liam Garcia
So another session finished. We reached Lantern year 3 (We play slowly) The stories that this game creates is both hilarious and nerve wracking.
We have one character who was supposed to be monster fodder. She has now the Twilight sword and is everyone's favorite.
The next battle is with the butcher, they saw the fear in my eyes. I have no idea if we are prepared enough for that battle.
Robert Bennett
bring grease, it hurts less than if he goes on you dry
Jack Martin
someone already made that joke
Adam Davis
I have a question about the antelope , even on level 1 there is a card that allows him to "gobble up". It was down to the last 3 AI and that card was still in the deck , I am assuming if it came down to it he can have more than one person gobbled up if it ends up happening
Liam Long
Yeah got ruined by kings-man.
I don't understand why that fight made me so mad, everything so far that has rekt-me, including the butcher the first time, at least felt fair(without any prior knowledge you can easily defeat the butcher if you know your tactics) or completely RNG like "Your best character just got murdered". Neither which made me mad.
But kings man is literally just: "Did you RNG this innovation(for me paint never even showed up)? No? Well then it doesn't matter if you have otherwise year appropriate gear and know how to use tactics"
I'd prefer it if it was just a dice-roll, don't quite get the point of it. Except that I know now that the encounter is basically "Had bad luck? Remove 4 survivors and pottery".
Felt very out of character for the game, anyone know what I mean? I'll literally just restart the game this time (i.e re-rolling startup supplies / innovation) until i get Paint, classic case of bad game design.
Brb gonna go cry like a baby somewhere else.
Blake Martin
Welcome to Kingdom Death, enjoy your AI deck manipulation.
Ian Cox
>doesn't make paint >makes pottery
Xavier Hill
Nice catch! I'll put it n the next batch. Thanks for all you're doing!
Oliver Allen
When should we move to level 2 quarries? Down to 6 pop after losing 2 original survivors and 4 from some shitty hooded Knight and intimacy rolls. Got very lucky against the butcher just as things were looking like he'd be set up to kill one after another. One survivor stacked frenzy 3 times in one round and spun the showdown on it's head.
Our population makes me nervous for a level 2 Lion or antelope at this point but our resources are getting thin.
Liam Powell
Lion isn't much harder than lion if you've got dash.
Daniel Reed
You're work is appreciated as well. There was also a duplicate of one of the other pages (86, I think) but that's not an issue on my end I can't easily fix.
I'll be able to properly convert image to searchable-text with these higher quality scans as well.
Austin James
>Lion isn't much harder than lion if you've got dash. user Level 2 Lion is leaps and bounds compared to level 1 and sounds like it will basically finish your settlement unless you have the gear and dash , surge and encourage minimum
Charles Ross

Joshua Fisher
Make shields. Have 2 someones stack evasion and take turns standing in his blind spot and block before he goes. Do not line up. Bring a high speed weapon to peel Battle Pressure. Learn his patterns to mitigate blown up assholes.

Nemesis monster randomly destroys an innovation.
Lucas Mitchell

This is my biggest gripe with the game. Kings Man and the level 2+ monsters (and 1+ Phoenix) are so reliant on innovating paint to avoid a bunch of otherwise unavoidable damage that not drawing it early on really hampers your ability to contend with better monsters. In turn, your resources are limited, and you can innovate and craft less ably than those that can dash.
Cunning, diabolical, and razor wind heap on damage each turn that can't be dodged, but only really be avoided via dash, so you're likely to lose or cripple survivors if you hunt level 2+ monsters without it.
Surge is a distant second place alternative, I suppose.
Aiden Wilson
Does the king's man always place the battle pressure cards on top of the deck at the beginning of the turn, regardless of where they are? That seems to be the general consensus, but if so, what's the point of the ai cards that place them on top?
Zachary Hill
Hit Locations place them on top. Specifically, BACK on top if you have already removed some or all. Anytime the Kings Man begins his turn or shuffles his Hit Locations they are also placed on top.
Ian Hill
Just to be sure, Dash won´t help you against Diabolical in the Antelopes turn if you are already in its movement range. Of course it does help in general, though.
Cooper Morales
Uh, yeah it will.
Jose Cruz
No it won´t. It picks you as a target before the Survival Opportunity, so if you are close to it (probably the case when it draws AI before), Dash won´t help at all.
Luke Murphy
So i should never dash and control which direction it goes? Let it run over any or all the survivors next to it's random target? Getting it potentially closer to my melee specialists and tanks or away from my archer on a stone face?
Seems fuckin helpful to me.
Ayden Adams
Maybe read my post to the end before making such stupid statements. I never said Dash does not help, just that Dash does not help in the case most people would think it helps the most. A lot of people get that part of Diabolical wrong and think they can just Dash out of the Trample Zone during the Diabolical Action and be safe.
Justin Nelson
> Doesn't help if you're in range It does > Just helps in general Or if you are in range
C-
Jayden Martinez
How? Tell me how Dash helps against Diabolical when the Trait is activated and one of your Survivors is already in the Trample Zone and close to the Antelope.
Ryan Davis
Are you trolling or blind?
Dylan Thompson
Are you? Just to be sure I make it clear again: Helping as in that no Survivor gets trampeled through Diabolical when in this scenario. That was all I ever talked about.
Matthew Sanders
Hey, you win. Dash can't help you so please never do it. Good luck and have fun.
Joseph Thompson
What a sour loser you are...
Parker Lee
Guys help, I can't decide if this theme fits Flower Knight or Dung Beetle Knight better
Did this beetle Gilgamesh just do a kamehameha? DBK if so.
Jeremiah Bailey
Okay, what the fuck is the story behind KDM? What the fuck are the Lanterns?
Michael Foster
>fight butcher, do pretty well early >my survivor dies again, this time to massive one-turn bleed stacks instead of Mortal Terror >as usual our sword user starts landing mortal blows the moment I die and crits the Furious Scrag for the Deathblow RIP Butcher
>hunt Lv1 lion >opens with Ground Fighting >take time to set up and surge the shit out of it when our spearman finally goes in to wake it up >resource crits everywhere >dies turn three without even causing a severe injury RIP White Pinata
Next week we resist the King's Men for trying to execute our strongest survivors and probably spend the rest of the session regret our overall life choices
For 1.3: Usually, when a monster full moves towards a target, they stop when they become adjacent to them. This card, however, is intended to move the Antelope through the target, and trample them in the process.
tl;dr dash is very useful because it stops multiple users from being knocked over. It could mean life or death of multiple to dash this.
Jace Lee
>tl;dr dash is very useful No shit, I never claimed anything else. But it will not help the Survivor who is already targeted by Diabolical to not get run over if he is near the Antelope. That is all I ever said, and something new players constantly get wrong.
Dominic Diaz
You're covering your back, and you omitted the context of diabolical hitting over others when it's targeting someone in the line of sight. If you dash before the monster moves, you can save them from taking 2-4 damage, knockdown and depending on where antelope finishes turn; knockback.
Cooper Mitchell
Of course Dash helps the other Survivors, but that was never the point I wanted to make. All I wanted to say was you that when you are targeted by Diabolical, Dashing out of the Trample Zone won´t make the Antelope NOT go after you. This is something I saw a lot of people get wrong, and it is also the main point of the video you posted.
Ian Gonzalez

Adrian Brown
So as a guy who's experience with tabletop RPGs is Pathfinder and D&D 5e, how is this? How does it compare? What's it about? Is it fun?
Thomas Perez
My buddies all thought it was "the best part of dnd combat but with simpler characters and more cool stuff". Feels like a game you'd play while drinking a beer. At least to me.
Oliver Wilson
More game than roleplay (aka good). It's a ripoff of Warhammer Quest with lite-roleplay that comes from the situations you get put in.
Some annoying gatchas and questionable balance, but game is in a great state. Very similar to Monster Hunter.
Nathaniel Morales
Sounds like fun!
>Very similar to Monster Hunter. Explain more. I love monster hunter how is this similar?
4. Nope! Partly because you're assuming it's something unique to me, as if I'd churned out 100,000+ words and handed it out to bookstores without several dozen pairs of IP-drenched eyes looking over it first, and partly because I trust the readership. (One of the IP department actually read Reddit in TMoM's release week, and said "Some of these angry people seem beholden to a version of 40K that never existed.") And partly because you're assuming it's negative or unpopular, because you don't like it and some people agree with you. That's... well, those are dangerous foundations to build a fortress on.
------
>You get this a lot in the IP, honestly. I've had several conversations that go like this:
>"I want to do X."
>"You can't, that's wrong, the lore doesn't go like that."
>"But it says in these published sources that I'm right. I just want to carry on X and Y and Z."
>"Yeah, but they were wrong. They were wrong at the time, too. We never directly say they were wrong, we just never mention them again, and eventually counter them in later publications."
>"But the readers think these things are true."
>"Sure. But eventually, they won't."
So apparently the warhams fans believe in versions of 40K that never existed and get made when the true version doesn't match it. Also they believe in erroneous non-canonical things that GW has removed long time ago (ie Chaos Undivided). Why are some warhams fans such shiters?
I am curious do these fans believe then that's objectively false and noncanonical to GW?
Gavin Gomez
You hunt monsters, loot their bodies for resources and craft armor and weapons from that.
Luke Gray
Sounds simple enough. Thank you for answering these questions.
Christopher Ortiz
What's an intimacy survivor?
Landon Flores
Narrative scultps of the intimacy couple on the page for the story event.
Resources, armour aesthetic (particularly white lion set), unga bunga cavemen, hit locations although random, direct reference on Lantern helm (earplugs).
Brody Thomas
Not that guy but the trample zone is a straight line so if you get out of the way with dash he cant hit you.
Ian Foster
Just watch this The trample zone is used to chose a survivor at random AND ONLY to do that. Once you're the target the big goat won't care if it has to move diagonally or turn around.
Juan Gray
Pretty sure meant that before diabolical targeting takes place, other survivors can use survival opportunities from the AI draw to dash out of the targeting zone.
Ethan Perez
Maybe, just remember they have to do it before the monster's AI card movement. Diabolical doesn't give you a chance to survival action until it has targets.
