Good knews everyone. Today's Audiobook "Rage of Asmodai" continues the story of Pandorax a bit. The guy that Asmodai was after turns out to be a Black Legionnaire. After torturing the shit out of him, he asks him about Epimetheus. Despite being utterly broken, the Black Legionnaire laughs and through broken teeth and mutilated mouth the traitor marine speaks about what happened to Epimetheus through we don't get to hear clearly.

This makes Asmodai angry and he leaves the traitor marine who is at the point begging to be killed to rot in agony instead of killing like he prmoised. This implies that the worst has happened. Epimetheus might have been turned into the Avatar of Slaanesh already by Fulgrim

They're alright but not worth using just for the weapons. You need to combo them with footslogging infantry to really make them shine. Having blobs of 2+ armor plague marines or 6+/5+++ zombies is pretty neat. If you're looking to use tough daemon engines for shooting then always stick with the crawlers.

Those things are only hitting on 4+ if they don’t move and heavy d6 is not very reliable.

Why not use the points on helbrutes, deamon princes or blightlords?

they aren't penalized for moving and firing heavy weapons, it's 3+ if you take 3 in a unit, they grant a -1 to hit to infantry within a range of them (which can be huge if yo take a unit of 3), they're about 60% more durable than a hellbrute, come with the long range hellbrute load out while still keeping a melee weapon and flamer which are both plague weapons. They're nurgle daemons, so they synergize with all kinds of things like heralds and epidemius... I could go on - but basically they're better than hellbrutes point for point - much better if you're willing to invest in 3 and infantry blob strategies.

Its better to start with an army that you actually really like the look/feel/fluff/playstyle of, rather than cheapness/easyness to paint.

Everybody starts out shit. Just start practicing on your basic dudes, so you can make your bigger centerpiece models and characters look real nice.

Get colored spray paint and apply it. Then wash everything in a darker tone of previous color. Drybrush with a lighter tone. Then paint in details. Base with glue and static grass.

Each day that passes is another day towards a non-marine/chaos release. And that's what keeps me hoping.

Dark Angels are really good in game, Ravenwing is near unstopable. Even before the codex I was killed Mortarion and the Death Guard with them quiet easily. With a Codex, even better.

Because helbrutes and blightlords die to a stiff breeze, even with Fnp. The crawler will keep chugging along after your opponent wastes his time trying to shoot them, all because he can't ignore something that does almost as much damage as a las pred.

Point per damage makes them 75% as efficient as a las pred, but points per wound makes them 300% more efficient.

If you want to use Legion traits, then no, other legions cannot use the Crawler. If you're willing to make one, say, Iron Warriors detachment and one Death Guard detachment consisting of 3 Crawlers and a throwaway HQ, that totally works, though.

Lelith does surprisingly well all things considered, S4 with full rerolls gives her a better than even chance of wounding, she'll get a good bonus out of the WT, and her shit AP doesn't matter because RG has a 3++ anyway. She deals 2.59 wounds per turn, taking 2.7 turns to kill Roboute. In return, RG deals 7.34 wounds per round, not counting shooting, smearing her across the wall in 0.68 turns.

They're cheaper, can move through terrain more easily (which they should never have to) and have a wider variety of weapons.

That said, this edition, there's very little reason not to use a Predator instead of Devastators/Havocs.

Personally I can just use Blightlord parts for the melee weapons, but honestly, either buy that ETB box which has one sword dude and one axe dude or just buy two boxes of Blightlord so you can make one squad just with axes and one just with swords.
