Repostin
It never specifies that they wont get an army wide special rule. Just that mono-god get specific stuff.

this was only ***1/2 desu

It lists what daemons get for being pure, and an army-wide special rules aside from ObSec isn't mentioned.
The tables sucked ass. 7th Edition daemons were carried entirely by Malific Daemonology.
I'll say it might be good as soon as they stop showing shitty rules. That Tzeentch locus looks pretty damning from a "did GW actually think about or playtest these rules before printing" standpoint.

How long until somebody posts their new Sly Marbo model and its painted like total shit, to the point where they've nearly suffocated the detail under layers upon layers of paint?

>MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPH!

Has anyone considered how bad those loci are, especially the slaanesh one, since you would still need to be within 6" of your character AFTER advance? So you can get super fucked by bad rolls.
I don't understand what they were thinking when comparing them to other armies' bonuses.

I mean i think the khorne one is pretty awful. Though anons keep telling me how its going to be amazing to help secure charges. The problem i am seeing is getting units to the point of charging.

Orks have the same possibility with the Warboss's aura. Just advance the locus-carrier first and you know how far your ladies can go when they do theirs.

Hopefully they'll be giving back army-wide deep-strikes, or at least making ways to get it plentiful

Khorne one is meme tier.

I've very bad at this game. I have a large imperial guard army, which I am told is 40k ez mode, but I cannot for the life of me beat my friends tau army. He goes first and deep strikes crisis suits and fires like ap-4 bullshit at my vehicles, blowing them up before they can do anything, and then fires so many str 5 shots at my infantry they join the tanks in the grave

Whats he been doing the last 120 years?

We aren't getting an army-wide rule (they listed everything else we get from being pure DoC). At best we'll get the Webway Strike stratagem.

The shit one is Tzeentch, mostly because of the pick the lowest clause. If you roll a 1 or 2 on either dice it does nothing.

You could use a bath.

field more tanks and more guardsmen
place tanks behind the guardsmen

yeah an army wide deepstrike rule would help khorne out a ton.

I always die in no mans land with bloodletters.

running from these guys

Why are you letting him get within 18" of your units? I assume you're referring to Fusion Blasters. Buy more regular infantry squads and spread out your forces.
>keep vehicles 8 inches from the edge of the table
>place squads in a semi-circle 8 inches away from the vehicles.
>place even more squads 8 inches away from the first lot

Just summon them in user :^) with your lascannon bait Bloodthirster/Heralds

>guardsmen using Ork weapons

Looks like we have a regiment of xenos-lovers. Time to purge.

*flanks behind you*

>killing the guys who literally live on a hive world, outside the hive cities, in an ork infested wasteland and hunt down ork warbands every day
I mean, you can try... You'll get fragged, but you can try.

tau codex will fix markerlights and make them interesting right?

How do we fix Renegades and Heretics? The index basically killed all the variety and with it the best part of the army. Bringing back demagogue devotions, adding relics for the list and wargear options that aren't just Imperial Guard but shit would go a long way.

Marauders need to be able to take more than two snipers.
We need some chaos stuff to actually make our cultists feel like they're being backed up by unholy power.

Never. Space Marines today, Space Marines forever.

Thoughts on my big boys Nids list? Somebody very kindly helped me out with getting into Nids yesterday on this general so I would just like to say thank you nameless person. I hope that you read this and realize that you've made a large difference in my day. I'm sorry if I fuck up the formatting, I'm doing this all by hand and I'm pretty new at this.

Once again, sorry if I fuck anything up with the list. I really enjoyed looking up all of this stuff and I was wondering if you guys thought this would be a decent list overall.

With exterminatus.

kill yourself

I fucking play GK AND Khorne Daemons. It's so frustrating hearing Tyranid players complaining that the turn 1 charge Genestealers didn't wipe out a unit of Terminators. I hope Imperial Knight's aren't my last hope.

Spiritual Liieeeggeeee

>implying the Inquisition would have issues killing a few idiots.

Push comes to shove there's always "borrowing" the services of the Imperial Navy.

Fuck traitors. Only thing we need is more guard.

>bombing the gate keeping the Blood Crusade and Ghazghkull's green horde from breaching into Segmentum Solar and a direct path to Terra
you're a special kind of dumb aren't you

>tfw you remember playing a big toof river board at games day Australia around 1999.
>then had an argument with an autist about NGE waiting for the bus back to the train station

So I have come up with some names for my Knight and its weapons. I have all of them magnetized but I need to decide on the names. What does Veeky Forums think of the following;
For the Knight itself
Feris Mortem
Infans Comprimens
victus superbia
victoriae sempiternam

For the Reaper Chainsword;
Dominus Messorum
dimissione nent

For the Thunderstrike Gauntlet
de manu mali
sacrum tonitrua

The Thermal Cannon;
irae Lanceam
impetu solis

Battle Cannon;
Purgo terram
Solvet Seclum in Favilla

Avenger Gatling Cannon;
Tempestas timoris
Sanguinem Caligo

what kits transfer across to 40k Nurgle Daenons?

Daemons**

we won't know until codex

Considering that some have the 40k symbol on them and some don't, I'd say all of the ones with the 40k symbol.

Confirmed: GUO, Beasts, Nurglings, Horticulous Slimux.
Suspected: The Bagpipe and Tallyman, the tree thingy
No: Blightlords on Drones, Maggoth Lord, Glottkin, Blightlord character

You knoe glotkin is the only one that doesnt suprise me

Warpflamers or inferno bolters?

We better get the screaming green reyard with the tally scroll, that's one of the funniest fucking models I've ever seen.

Jesus i need to go to bed.
I meant that Glottkin is the only one that actually surprises me You would think that thing would transcend games.

3 sabres with stubbers is 81 points. Add in a detachment or something to make them individual units and use them to block off deep strike locations.

New orks when

Who knows. They're on the list

The Nurgle tide is just about spent, so we'll see what they do next.

Daemons yes mortals most no.

So what primarch/s will show up next?

The lion most likely, then angron, Russ and lastly fulgrim

Another day, another victory for our glorious Emperor!

Is the SC! box the only place to get the herald of nurgle now? Are the new ones going to replace it or are they just alternative variants?

They will probably replace, yes

WF are excellent... when they work. If your opponent is paying attention or you don't have access to alternate strategies they're going to be taken apart before they get in range. On top of that, they're really expensive at 33 points per equipped marine.

Inferno Bolters are more well-rounded and with their fabulous -2 AP characteristic they serve well in taking care of infantry, on top of their greater initial engagement range.

I wonder if I should get the SC! now for the old herald or see if they change the content. I wouldn't mind beasts instead of drones.

Any good ideas for a Tempestor Prime if I don't want to use the dumb looking coat?

I was thinking of just using the head with a mask and beret (rest of my Scions all have masks) but I'm not sure if it'll be enough.

So all bolters or do I put in a couple flamers?

Whatever you feel like my dude

I think all of those names will make you sound like a pretentious cock-end.

Anyone else find Space Wolves players insufferable?

Fucking special snowflake chapter.

It depends on how you're using your Rubrics. Conventional wisdom points towards using bolters for mid-short ranged encounters and cutting down on troop costs, but if you have a really sneaky Rhino or have somehow souped your list to get the alpha legion strategem or whatever, you'll probably dig the flamers if you can get em into position.

Often times I just staple the warpflame pistol onto the squad leader and run the rubricae with bolters which works well enough and is fairly economical.

In general here's the pattern I follow.
>Times to use flamer marines
-When I have plenty of extra points laying around and need to fill a close-range anti-infantry niche.
-I have a spare rhino to bring them to where they can be effective.
-I'm running soup and use a stratagem to bring them closer in range.
-When I run larger squads and include one or two as an insurance policy against mobs.

>Times to use all bolters (optional warpflame pistol on squad leader)
-Almost every other time, especially if footslogging and super especially without additional support.

Khorne confirms

Include them in the astra ministratum codex

Basically have a regiment trait that says replace imperial keyword with chaos keyword -1 ld on everything, allow them to choose a mark keyword

>will

Valid

Who leads YOUR DUDES Veeky Forums? Tell me about their backstory, their greatest duel or just their most famous victory on the tabletop.

>literally Imperial Guard but objectively worse

>astra ministratum
>ministratum
Just call it the guard codex if you can't even get the not-latin name right

So mixing in like three flamers in a ten man squad is probably a no go then?

gulliman

You fucking pleb

If you're just hoofing it across the table, I don't think you'll really find yourself in a situation where getting in near-physical contact with the foe is possible. Especially since Rubrics move at only 5", they're going to take a while to travel without nearby support. If you have a Rhino, however, I think that could work out okay. Let your bolter dudes die first then as you slowly advance you'll most likely have your 3 remaining flamers in the pocket to do some nice damage.

>Who leads YOUR DUDES
Their queen of course

i don't have dudes yet.

they're sitting in a box waiting to be assembled. glorious chinky sent them to me. but the collection is far from complete, not at all a fighting force. and they have no leader yet. unless maybe the odd one out; a collectors edition thing with shield and hammer.

but the flesh is weak
so i think a techmarine or tech on bike will lead the force of armour i plan to eventually field. stompy ribits, noughties and supporting fire sounds alright to me. might end up a bit soup. but my omnissiah calculated it be so.
>protip:god is chinese!

>Not appreciating BEST SPACE DAD

jokes aside, I unironicly play Ultramarines becuase i like playing a bunch of goody-two-shoes heroes who constantly save the day.

DIGGANOBZ

they're fucking armageddon ork hunters. they hate orks. they kill orks. they don't get no resupply so they kill orks with their own shit.

hopefully user. but with 8th like it is I have my doubts.

>still retain their legion's boner for attrition warfare and bionics, but make more use of raiding and shock assaults due to their fleet based structure

Daemon Prince of the Emperor's Children, ripped a Storm Talon out of the air once.

fuck, was meant for

actually, fuck it, if anyone has any name suggestions I'd love to hear em. I suck with that sort of thing.

With his BEAR HANDS?

What weaponry is he packing my dude?

Well, claws.

I was just fucking around with a chapter generator program, ended up finding a cool design for a raptor champ with a power axe

I'm an Ork player having trouble dealing with tougher targets. Wat do?

I mostly run warbikes. Just one footslogging Boyz mob of 30. I'd like to avoid green tide and lean more into Speed Freaks.

Tankbustas have not been worth their points in any games I've played.

Anyone know where the tournament results I keep hearing about are?

Curious as to which armies dominated.

The Brotherhood of Decimation
