Been interested in 40k for a long time and now I have the means to actually get into it. Are Space Marines viable in 8th edition without using Primaris Marines? I really don't like how they look. Also are Black Templars considered generic SM by the rules? I remember at one point there was a BT Codex separately.

Nurgle Daemons synergy with Chaos Space Marines was a mistake.

I think intercessors are fine considering I only use them to fill the battalion and the -1ap i pretty good for battle line. But any primaris hq is pretty worthless since you can't give them any options like a bike or jump pak.

Keep in mind old-Marines will never receive any new models or meaningful support. By 2020 they should be phased out completely and will be a legacy army.
Also your force will look pathetic compared to regular humans who are just as tall and tough as your supersoldiers.
If you can live with that, go ahead. I'm a Chaos Marine player and I will only buy new models once ours have been upgraded to Primaris size as well.

The middle one is the thing they previewed with the tree. It gives all Nurgle Daemon units within 7" of it cover, but 2+ cover instead of +1.

Their saves are 2+, add 2 to that, and you get a save of 0+.

The others are from the leak, all of the leak stuff came out 2 days ago and all the community article posts after it have proven it right.

You can deepstrike a daemon with power level 9 or more for 2cp.

The big bell on the GuO gives you a model back on each unit which lost models on a 4+. Blight Haulers can be taken in a unit of 3, and if they lost one, they would get one back on a 4+ with the big ole bell.
