Okay, /AoSG/, should I bother waiting for the undead release? Its been so long, and I feel like this whole Malign portents thing was the tipping point. At this point, I have at least 1 of every unit in the GA: Death, aside from Nagash himself, and in comparison to things like Stormcast, Slyvanneth or any battle tomb faction, death plays in such a boring and weak way.

I'm honestly tempted to just sell off all my AoS based stuff, keep my WHFB stuff, and focus on just 40k at this point.

My biggest problem with the AOS armies themselves when compared to fantasy is that every bloke in most armies seems like he is a grandiose elite, and the rest are either different kinds of elites or super elites. In fantasy the elites stood out as cooler because you could compare them to the regular units.
I really like the look of the Tzeench amry because it doesn't have that problem. While I probably won't pick up the game unless it gets a new edition ruleset I'm happy to hear an army I like is relevant.

Unless they build them around buffing Deathrattle and Deadwalker, no. I have mostly Skeletons, Zombies, Grave Guard and such. So I feel like theres no reason to hold onto units and models that will never be touched upon or updated ever again.

I cant find tournament source but if you look around a lot of tournament order lists use phoenixes, dragonlords and loremasters as they fucking destroy EVERTHING

Tzeentch is pretty sweet.
Although he may not appear so at first, Tzeentch actually has a lot of Variety (some of the strongest Anvils, Hammers, and Fast Attack) with a placed emphasis on synergy.
The primary sub factions for Tzeentch are Tzeentch Marked Slaves of Darkness, Tzeentch Arcanites, and Daemons of Tzeentch. You can always mix and match too.

Units wise...
A Gaunt Summoner with Familiars and a Balewind Vortex is a must have.
Tzaangor Shaman and Skyfire Retinue is also very popular.
A Tzeentch Warshrine and Chaos Warriors of Tzeentch are some of the most Tanky Anvils around.
Tzaangors act as a good hybrid Hammer/Anvil unit.
Horrors are awesome, for both spellcasting and tarpitting.

Honestly you wouldn't go wrong buying...

You want all your cavalry to charge the same target generally so you can wipe it in one go, it’s not easy to do.

My other cavalry army is blatantly OP and only saved because literally no one except me plays extremis chambers but it plays like a steamtank army, for real

I'm afraid they're not much to look at atm, since they were almost completely unpainted and even largely unbuilt by the last owner. Its great, since I dont need to worry about stripping them and shit.

If you plan on running pure Daemons of Tzeentch and not mixing in Tzeentch Arcanites or Slaves to Darkness you'll probably end up running Changehost.
Daemons have some solid damage output, but they aren't particularly tanky, at most you can run horror tarpits, if not expect to be running lots and lots of glass cannons.

Skink are good batteline

It's the most common way of doing it since no one in their right mind is going to spend $100 on 5 finecast cavalry.

At 1000 pts, 60 glade guard, a Spellweaver, and a Waywatcher leaves me with 100lts. What should invade to this? Another way watcher? A Prince? A Wayfinder? I'm fairly limited with what I have atm.
