Yea, it's much better using text where people can only guess at your tone of voice or how you're saying something so they misunderstand you all the time and there's nothing you can do about it.
You don't even notice it because you just keep using your "style of typing" even though you have a totally different impression of it than others who don't understand you.

You know we have "!" and "?" for a reason? If you care so much about conveying tone there's italic, bold, underline too. Except most people will just understand what you're typing because they don't have autism.
Voice is awful, for one because most people have the voice of a skeleton with asthma and two because they will invariably use their laptop mic.

Game would be based on/around the anime/manga franchise Little Witch Academia. The focus would be on mystery solving, social interaction, and occasional lightweight dungeon crawling. Overall tone is light hearted and cute. If you aren't into or at least okay with yuri themes and light fanservice, you may want to steer clear as these will be present, though not the focus. Also, being a weeb would probably help.

As someone who has joined a few games from here, in recent times I haven't found jack shit as far as games go for what I want. I've found better, longer lasting groups on reddit. Sure, my humor is normally lost on them, but at least I get to actually play games.

Veeky Forums probably doesn't, nowadays. It's a really sad state where mostly the constant and obvious shitposting threads like hit autosage. Nobody lurks to see if their opinions have been expressed by anyone else already, nobody tries to do anything creative, everything is drowned by negativity or people trying to out-do each other with "witty" and unhelpful one-liners.

It's got a lot to do with people here like the idea of Veeky Forums more than actual Veeky Forums. So they talk about genre fiction, imagined That Guys and red flags, how shitty d20 is, but the minority actually reads rule books and plays.

And they feed themselves so once it starts, there's no waiting it out. Thanks mods for your excellent work, outstanding job on this board.

This is the slowest season for games: Games die/ramp down at the start of the holidays, a bit before Thanksgiving, and don't really start getting back into the swing of things until like a new college semester's started, since the average age of RPG players is like in the university range.

Sometimes, I forget we are not allowed to have nice things.

Best part as a player IMHO is that flakes are practically nonexistent because they get laughed outta the server. Plus autists you wouldn't want in your game are auto-filtering because they make fools of themselves in the chats.

Try getting people that talk on the discord or publicly mentioning the people who flaked then. I was gonna put up an add and having an idea of who the people I'm inviting rather then just having the interview is a nice feature.

Make a list of flakers, if you're giving up anonymity at least use it for something
