>30k TACTICA & TIPS What to include in a HH list, how to format it, what makes each legion special (crunch), tactics, Tutorials for Heresy-era minis and more pastebin.com/Tm2P4QLp
>Be Dark Angels player >Pop into /hhg/ >combi-genade launchers and volkite chargers have infinite ammo >new plastic jetbikes that look sweet >SW gimp masks >Small nerf to Vigilators 3/4 ain't bad.
The time to convert some Volkite vets and Scimitars with acid shells soon approaches.
Joseph Gomez
good to see the Knights return to the Panoply of War for the Legions as well. Didn't use them myself, but it's good to include them.
Jack Cox
>custodes bike >admech logo
Luke Wood
>combi-volkite chargers have infinite ammo
Aka. why would you ever take a volkite charger when a combi is available?
Dylan Gomez
There's no such thing as a tech custodes, they don' build their own equipment.
Michael Fisher
Now all we need are bolter Custodes, and FW might as well stop making models for Custodes.
Juan Ramirez
They have a number of dedicated servants/thralls each that help them maintain their equipment, not counting the Terawat Clan and others like them.
Landon Barnes
>they don' build their own equipment.
Neither does Mechanicum/Admech, they rely on Terran artificer clans who master ancient tech. That's why they use bolt weapons but not volkites (literal Martian heat rays).
Gavin Roberts
assuming the cost is the same, yes.
Gavin Miller
Friendly reminder that Perturabo is ten times better than any other primarch
Alexander Kelly
Including himself
Luis Foster
>Been kind of a slow day, may as well beat a tenth of my legion to death again
Christian Cox
So graviton imploders are good against vehicles?
Easton Perry
Did the space wolves ever think that the SoH taking away psykers was sketchy?
Robert Lee
You can't think something is sketchy if you don't know about it.
Robert Wilson
looks like "shell shock" rule does disappear from the Quad launcher frag shells as expected.
Logan Harris
>space wolves >thinking Very cute, user.
Bentley Baker
There was a logic for it It was a punishment for being a bunch of lazy fags.
Liam Myers
At least in vanilla list units, any unit that can take both, pay the same price for them.
Jeremiah Thompson
How so?
Adam Thompson
>Perturabo decides his legion needs to be punished >Has one tenth of them beat to death without any honor while excluding himself
>Dorn decides his legion needs to be punished >Personally leads his legion on a crusade into a deathtrap against his most hated enemy in a siege that lasts weeks
We even punish ourselves better than you. Do you ever get tired of being discount Fists?
Jaxson Nelson
Well the wolves killed off or attempted to kill off every civilian on Prospero. I'm just wondering if they ever thought it was sketchy that the Sons of Horus didn't complie with that order even though Russ had the decree of (You)
Andrew Nelson
Why would you take indominus terminator when you can take tartaros?
Lincoln Martinez
>while excluding himself How the hell would perturbaro include himself? Unless he's going to play a quick game of ten-against-one huehuehuehuehue he can't really decimate himself.
Lincoln Perez
damn these dead games
Daniel Martin
He should have drawn a lot like everyone else. Why does he think he's beyond punishment?
William Rogers
Because he wasn't the one who'd been performing poorly in the crusade up to that point.
Wyatt Butler
>Brainlet
Kevin Lewis
SoH didn't take anything away. Don't know what you're talking about. The difference in displacement is just an error by the fleet's scanners.
Eli Baker
No they hadn't. The IW had put in more work than perhaps any other legion up til that point.
THey just didn't have enough pretty penants, and I guess that's all Perturabo really cared about.
Logan Adams
Don't want to take the heat? Deliver all the packages.
Thomas Allen
New lore disagrees, and this from IW fanboy nr 1. We were apparently derided for being unimaginative by many leaders of the Crusade, and only a few praised us for willingly working with (WITH rather than above) mortal soldiers
Joseph Peterson
Has anyone tried using Maloghurst's head for Mortarion?
Jordan Hernandez
Yep, exactly. We totally weren't off culling our own member while rounding up psykers for our own use. Nope, not at all
Sebastian Nguyen
IF storm shields. There is no reason to ever take volkite chargers when you can take combi-volkites. Bar visuals, obviously.
Oliver Jenkins
I wonder if the new custodes stuff will get 30k rules as well. Realistically speaking they probably had this time at least since around the great crusade, considering all this stuff has been mothballed for aeons. Or is FW getting huffy again like they did with the volkite situation? I mean, either way the new stuff makes for perfect replacements for Agamati, Aquiloi and Haeteroi, so it'd be fine either way, but a greater selection of units would also be nice.
Hunter Garcia
>AdMech maintains the Golden Throne itself >But Custodes hover bike technology is too sacred.
Jonathan Ross
Just use the rebreather bald head from the DG head upgrade kit.
Jayden Morgan
What logic?
Owen Rivera
Mechanicum was part of the project to build the webway gate. Custodes equipment is build by Terran artificer clans.
Also, if Admech can build jetbikes for Custodes, why can't they build jetbikes for anyone else?
Camden Gray
Likely cost. The Custodes can basically requisition anything and are important enough to be able to push requests through. It's probably far too inefficient to give everyone jetbikes. That and the fact that the Custodes probably don't share their exclusive technology with anyone outside of the order or the parts of the mechanicus that creates it.
Angel White
When a nigga get so fat he a warp rift
Jacob White
That's just your average raven guard shadow stepping caught on camera.
Jaxson Ortiz
He's not fat, he's just made from thunder warrior stock. Because that's the explanation for a marine being larger than normal basically 100% of the time.
Jeremiah Howard
So is Abbadon a thunder warrior?
Adrian Mitchell
No, he's a Horus clone.
or so some believe
Brandon Wilson
>Horus clone with a normal soul
I I could believe it.
Juan Hall
This account is a lie.
Brandon Bennett
>Also, if Admech can build jetbikes for Custodes, why can't they build jetbikes for anyone else?
Why should they? There's lots of tech segregation in the Imperium.
Elijah Carter
Why isn't he as big as Horus?
Jayden Butler
>Why should they?
Same reason they bother to make anything else?
Xavier Sullivan
>primarch clones are canon. I hope Ynnead finds out where all those hundreds of primarch clones that Fulgrim killed or Fabius/Alpha Legion made primarchs and then uses his sue powers to fix them with elf magic.
Like how he turned rubric marines back into flesh and blood again.
Colton Ramirez
I don't know, but he is a lot bigger than most in the legion, so there's that.I think he also bears a striking resemblance, but not moreso than Aximand.
Asher Jones
If Admech can construct terminator armor, then why isn't every single space marine, soldier and lowly security guard wearing terminator armor? Just because they can do it, doesn't mean it's worth the resources to do or that it's even possible to do on such a scale if they wanted to.
Space marines go through bikes like nobody's business they're not going to give them the super hard to make ones.
Wyatt Richardson
The space god of technology demands it?
Isaiah Lewis
Thinking Abbadabbadoo is a clone of Horus is brainlet tier.
Christian Myers
Using pic related as a Praetor. Is the 'modern' jump pack appropriate for MkVI and the Heresy? Or do I need Sanguinary packs?
Adrian Price
Shit
Julian Hughes
Praetor could probably handwave anything as experimental.
Noah Jenkins
>back into flesh and blood Wait what? Please explain.
Leo Diaz
Abbadon is obviously a Companion purpose and tailor made for Horus by the Emperor using the same techniques as His own Custodes.
Adrian Adams
Well, he hadn't done fuck all on the galactic crusade front until he was found. Meanwhile the Iron warriors were busy making the galaxy a better place.
Sounds to me like the only one that needed to be executed without honor is perty hisself.
John Perez
cite source of new lore.
Jackson Perry
Rolled 6 (1d10)
Rolling to see if pert should have been beaten to death
Brayden Myers
looks like successful roll. Now if only someone had beaten perty to death with a gigantic imperator titan dildo...
Christopher Thomas
So what's the deal with Shattered Legions armies? >Get to mix and match Rite of War and Legion Astartes (_____) rules >Get to pick legion specific units with minimal restrictions >Units can't deny objectives So basically, you get to field otherwise impossible combos, but your combo needs to be strong enough to wipe your opponent's scoring units? Am I reading this right?
Ryder Powell
...now
Hudson Butler
Apologies in advance for the shitty picture. I am not a computer person. Witch of these options looks better?
Torso and head come from a Deathshroud Terminator Arms come from Tyberos The Red Wake The legs in the left picture are also from Tyberos, but are clearly Indominus (or however you spell it) Legs in the right picture are from the limited release Tribune
I'm making a Night Lords character in Tartaros armour and armed with one chainfist and one lightning claw. Only after ordering the parts did one of the kind anons in one of these threads inform me that doing so is not an actual legal option. While I may be able to work it with him as a chaplain (due to the crozius being a power weapon), that's kind of an iffy subject.
However, I like the idea, I have the bits, and I want to go ahead and make the guy. I love the look of the studs and skull trophies on the Tyberos legs, but I'm not sure I can "fix" the look of them clearly not being tartaros pattern. I also like option 2, but I'm not sure how well I can Night Lords them up. Both options will require a good deal of shaving down bits on my part, but that doesn't bother me too much.
What do you think? Which option should I go with?
Xavier White
>Witch of these options looks better? You're not an English speaking person either, are you?
I'd go with Tyberos' legs, mainly because he looks better with the left leg forward.
Camden Nguyen
both look very cool. I prefer the Tribune legs but Tyberos more aggressive.
Do you have any other angles of them?
Ayden Garcia
A friend got me Lorgar as a gift. I have nothing else from this game, and I've never played it before, but I'm interested now- how do you recommend I start?
Parker Hughes
I attribute those errors more to autocorrect and me being really damn tired than anything else. I think I also like the look of the Tyberos legs more, but I can't bring myself to use them until I figure out a way to obscure the non-tartaros bits, namely hip armour. I'm just not sure how to do it.
Can't do more pics at the moment. I'd have to do some major cutting and clipping to get the pieces fitting at all, and I just don't have the time right now. The Tribune legs are a bit bulkier, which gives the model a nice solid look. If I can maybe add some studs and a few trophies, maybe I can get a similar aggressive look to the other legs.
Mason Sullivan
grow your unholy flock with a horde of Word Bearers.
Josiah Long
The Calth box GW offers is a good start. It had lots o' models and you can use all of them in a Word Bearers army. Prospero is good too, but there's no good way to use the Custodes or Sisters from that box.
Do you play 40k at all? I can't tell from your post our you're new to the setting and game as a whole, or just the 30k niche, so I apologize for asking. If you happen to pay daemons, or can get a copy of their 7e codex, Word Bearers ate the only marines who can ally with daemons.
You could also make an army for use in either 30k or 40k, by using Lorgar as a daemon prince for example.
Jose Ross
I'm fairly new in general, and I've mostly been playing Guard. I'd really like to build a Word Bearers army using the Heresy-designed marines, so yes, I think that would be good. I'm interested in the Mhara Gal for at least a Helbrute as well- is it any good?
And I do not YET play daemons but I've been hemming and hawing on getting some to play them in 40K and AoS as well, so it's all rather fortuitous.
Jordan Lewis
Honestly, I'm not all that familiar with the way WBs work, so i can't do much more than parrot the 1d4chan tactics page. What I do oboe is that daemons have some of the best Start Collecting boxes deals (they save quite a bit vs buying everything separately), but as to which to get I can't say. But never, ever but the Calth or Prospero models from GW in their individual packaging versions. Those fuckers are highway robbery. Supporting your FLGS is usually a good thing, but this prices are just dumb. Go full Calth/Prospero box, or go ebay (and don't spend more than $25-30 USD, including shipping, for the 10 man marine squads if you do this option).
I'm also not a good source for tactical buying advice. I'm terrible att these games, so I usually just buy the models I think look the coolest.
Kayden Morales
FLGS did a Murder event. Anyone want some pics?
Easton Cooper
Sure, but what's a Murder event?
Brayden Rodriguez
Has FW cleared up the reason for the formatting in pic? The RG are obviously sneeky beeky enough to not let their specific unit configurations be known outside the legion, leading to conclusion that their units cannot be Treasoned in AL Coils list. Then again, TS and SW should also get this due to their legion idiosyncracies, especially for the Ammitara. Or is this purely an oversight?
Sure, go ahead.
BA, EC and LW against Tyranid-like "Megarachnids" which BA and EC got mired against until the Either or the Or led a counter-assault to save their asses. Eidolon was verbally BTFO'd by the LW captain in front of his men.

I loved that scene.

Give the new 40k Custodes Terminators power fist and lastrum bolters.
My dick.

Ryder Murphy
If I start a Custodes army, will you guys tell me to fuck off?
Nathan Gomez
you'll be playing the most played faction in the game come two months from now. If you're ok with being grouped with the flavor of the month/WAACfags then go ahead
Charles Adams
If you don't spam their three stupidlly overpowered options (Caladius with illastus, Telemon with dual arachnus, Agamatus squads) you'd be fine in my book as far as the game goes. That said, you'll be accused of bandwaggoning pretty soon, so I hope you can bear that.
