Armada's wave 7 was updated to on the boat, and Veers/Snowtroopers for Legion are at the printer. Release date predictions? When will we see the Rebellion's Legion wave 1 announcement?
That brings up another point, where were all the classic Star Wars aliens in the ST? Aside from actual returning characters like Nien Nunb and Ackbar we didn't see any. No Rodians, Devaronians, Hutts, Ithorians, Bothans, Twi'leks, nada. Just some weird horsefaced people and forgettable painted faces. Even the PT had a few returning alien species from the OT while simultaneously introducing new ones.

Don't you like your expectations subverted?

Can somebody give me a quick rundown of d6 and FFG tabletop systems and why I should choose one over the other? Never played a Star Wars game but I really want to.

D6 is old bessy. FFG is the new hotness.

It really blows my mind how much CGI has improved in the last twenty years. What used to cost too much for decent budget TV shows like Trek can now be produced by amateurs in their spare time.
Also the fight in IV is one of the few things that really didn't age very well in the OT, so it's interesting to see a modern take on it. Vader being a lot more aggressive makes sense.
Brayden Gomez
That looks pretty good to be honest. The upper slash is a little overblown but it's nowhere near the level of spinning memesabers.
Brayden Barnes
I'm actually rather impressed by that reimagining. From a purely choreographic standpoint, the characters haven't changed from ANH. Veder still fights essentially like a bulldozer, throwing diagonal strikes from the shoulder (being incapable of bringing his arms actually over his head due to his helm), and trying to hammer through the his opponent's defense.
Obi-wan still fights like he did in ANH too; using interior movement lines and a greater economy of motion to hold the center of the fight and guarantee a defense against any blow he can see coming (which is the reason why he held chudan-no-kamae the *entire* original ANH fight).
The essential "character and language" of the fighters isn't appreciably changed with the move over to "greater speed and more motion" that the CGI allows, and that restraint shown by the animator is all too rare.
Liam Garcia

I want to fuck the king and her son at the same time. I want Arturia to use me to teach her son how to please a man. I want my dick between the king’s breasts as she and her son practice performing oral on me. I want the king to kiss feed her son semen and teach her to swallow. I want the king to ride my dick like a horse and I want her son’s vagina on my mouth. I want to cum inside the king as I eat out the king’s son. I want the king to part her son's legs and show me her vagina. I want Mordred to scream for her daddy as I pound her. I want to fill her with just as much cum as I filled her father. I want enjoy Arthurian-style oyakodon.

Personally I kinda agree, making movies/stories set after the prequel trilogy cheapens the victory and happy ending that even the prequels kept in mind. Especially the whole chosen one who brings balance to the force shpeel that they had. Since there are still dark side force users (both in the EU and new cannon) then does that mean Anakin isn't the chosen one? If he isn't then why the fuck even bothering mentioning him or his family at all? From a narrative standpoint it just makes no sense and ever since Disney acquired star wars, it's just been going way more downhill.
David Nguyen
>kylo stabbing the floor >guards running around like headless chickens It's so dense

Yeah the sheer amount of cheap processing power you can get on a budget is kind of crazy. Admittedly Neill Blomkamp is an old-hand at effects, but the amount of detail he's squeezed basically out of fuck-all is pulling ahead of the game-
old timey rpg, with a small mountain of resources new-era of rpg systems with quite a lot of resources

So reading around FFG looks interesting to me. Can it handle KOTOR level force users? Or are force users more limited in power for the sake of party balance?
To be clear I'm not really looking to pull star destroyers out of the sky, but I'd like my players to do more than just toss some small things around the room.
Charles Cooper
Yeah once you get to around 500 xp you can hurl light freighters.
Adrian Rivera
>To be clear I'm not really looking to pull star destroyers out of the sky I fucking hate how retarded the Force has become. That's fucking stupid. That's absolutely retarded. You could maybe justify it via some superweapon where you've grown a giant force-attuned illithid Elder Brain, but for a person to be capable of it it's absolutely retarded.

my own theory is that the dark-side energies of yavin masked their location

Because the Force isn't that powerful.

D6 is fast paced, hits a good rules medium niche and is very good for space opera settings (easy to improvise with, but you hit a nice granularity specially in vehicles). You have the first edition, the second edition, the mini-six if you want things extra simple, or the different fan made re makes. There is a wealth of shit to steal from even if you don't like the system and has a still active comunity. Poor points is than the jedi/force user can get extra stronk nerf plox, you can end throwing a fuck load of dice (nothing stops you to use an app tough), high pools make characters too OP (nicely nerfed with Pool limits) and some anons find it to, I think bare for characters (never seen that myself but coming from BRP I mix and match things from others games with glee, any system I use is an unholy frankestein). I never got much into the FFG ones,it has nice, well made books, it's more balanced between the characters with Force powers and has a nice character granularity and the let's make an adventure togethers can be very fun with a nice group, it never clicked to me because the vehicle rules wheren't for my taste, but also I never liked "story telling" kind of RPG or board game style custom dice, so I'm biased. Funny enough I first heard of FFG games than D6, I'm a recent D6 convert via Mini-six. Saga is the red headed child of the SW games, there are some anons than play it here but normally you will be pushed to D6 or FFG ones.

Is Exar-kun's Yavin IV temple still canon?

I kinda liked the way the fights go aside from that tho. A lot more focus on bringing out the character over spinny stuff.
Levi Hughes
Fate/wars is the right choose.

Anyone else love Y-wings?
Kayden Perry
Let’s play a fun little game, you post your characters name and another user will have to post a picture of what species your character probably are. I can start: >Duux Aigbap
James Peterson
I used to be indifferent to them but after playing a ton of x-wing and going through a cycle of trying out and abandoning each rebel ship in disappointment I think it by process of elimination ended up my favorite. It always performs exactly how I expect it to, never better and never worse.

My prefered SW space ship, I like it in the Clones wars or the striped, lewder OT version.

Anyoen has a good collection for minor CIS star ships? I mean between the Cruisers and Starfighters they have to have something.

Oh yeah, for a second I forgot about how star wars names are for rule of cool only. I mean sub-capitals, anything than would be in any star force between Patrol vessels and minor ships of the line like the Arquitens, the Corellian gunship etc.

I'm gonna gm a Saga edition game soon and I'm thinking of setting it in KOTOR because there's a little bit more creative freedom that way. Do I set it during the Sith war, the Mandalorian War, the Jedi Civil war, or the Dark war? And does it even matter? Also, on Mandalorians: what the fuck is their problem?
Ryder Adams
They also use it in Clone Wars.

Man, I was looking for the Muni states and its frigin 800m long, that way too big. The gozanti it's like the new corellian corvetter or something, everyone has them. Nothing more unique?

>new corellian corvetter It is made by Corellian Engineering so yeah pretty much.

Maybe the dark side is only good at muddying things to make it hard for others to see, and sensing the future with it is difficult. You need clarity to see clearly, etc.

>"Indeed you are powerful as the emperor has foreseen." >"Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."

Didn't foresee Vader tossing him down the garbage chute.
Daniel Brown
I mean, it's probably not the case that the dark side is bad for future sight/remote viewing, but relying on the statements of a liar and his understudy is not fantastic evidence.
Alexander Bell
Probably since high school has started up again. Watch as it gets terrible around 1500-1600
Robert King
Maybe each side clouds the other, so Vader's "good" action was too hard to him to understand. Something similar with being unable to see/predict what the rebels would do.
David Diaz
Why is comic Vader chaotic stupid?
He reads like a drunk guy roleplaying an evil character.
Robert Cook
Precog should be pretty shit when other precogs are around.
Benjamin Phillips
This makes an immense amount of sense for some reason, but I'm pretty sure it's just because precog is finicky and if the force has a goal, it's that it wants him to throw the emperor down the garbage chute and the rebels to win. It can't stop Vader from being able to know the moment he sees a rebel base though since that kind of lets him reach out to it, which he'd otherwise have no real reason to do since it's just a random place. It doesn't have to protect or guide every reb, just the A team. Which is why the rest of the rebels just tend to die on screen.
Logan Miller
It's generally stated that sidings was so deep into the darkside that he could no longer sense the light at all, "strange that I have sensed nothing"
As a result he had unwittingly blocked off the possibilities from his mind, and was no longer able to sense Luke's fortitude or the conflict within vader
Henry Ward
So the Force flows through all living things.
How does it make sense that it can affect inanimate objects, then?
Vader choking people out, or Luke/Obi-wan achieving "mastery of self" makes sense, but how does Luke pull a lightsaber or Vader throw a table or Qui-Gon push a droid?
Ep5/6 were a mistake
Julian Lee
I'm now imagining a lot of this with high end force users
Christian Edwards
An episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, then?
Dominic Perry
Out of all your favorite directors, living or dead, who do you think would make the best Star Wars movie?
Daniel Carter
George Lucas.
Dominic Hall
Haha, well meme'd friend!
Bit no, seriously, who?
Gavin Bailey
John Woo directing a Heroic Bloodshed version of the prequels would possibly be the greatest thing ever
Mason Evans
Del Toro or Peter Jackson. One for a truly weird but enchanting Star wars universe, the later because he knows how to make an Epic history (the hobbit was a mistake).
Isaiah Parker
Midichlorians
